Cesar Millan Medium Black Illusion Collar

Cesar Millan Medium Black Illusion CollarBuy this if:

A) You have a dog that pulls constantly

B) You dread walking your dog because in 3 minutes you're both exhausted

C) You've worked really hard to leash train your dog but feel like its impossible

D) You desire a companion for walking, not an intense personal trainer

Don't buy if:

A) You don't own a dog

B) You're dog doesnt pull

C) You have a dog under 19 pounds

Will you injure the dog using this leash-yes if:

A) You pull the dog so hard he falls on his back and you drag him around

B) You hang your dog from a tree with it

First of all, I have a one year old--75 pound Golden Shepherd who has lived in the country most of her life. This means she's gone outside without a leash running around several times a day. She was very well trained except for leash-training because it seemed a huge hassle and unnecessary. I regretted this immediately when I moved into an apartment last month.

I started to leash train her using several different methods, and it all ended up the same--I would be tired and frustrated and so would she. Walking had become a dreaded obligation; however, I knew she needed exercise so I couldnt simply stop walking her, despite the fact I was almost in tears at the end of our walk because my arm was so sore. I had thought about buying this collar before, but decided against it because it was so expensive and I didnt want to invest in something that didnt "work" like I'd been doing. However, It came to the point last week where my dog saw a bird, took off, and pulled me accross the mud in a movie-scene-quality stunt. That was it.

When taking the collar out of the package it seemed a little complex, but took me less than 2 minutes to fit it on my dog--it has picture instructions included. I was scared of the leash at first because it was so thin compared to my super-thick-double-stitched-nylon leash I'd been using, I figured my dog would snap it within seconds. Oh, was I DEAD wrong!

On the FIRST walk she'd try to pull, I'd yank very quickly and lightly on the leash then she was at my side. Just like that, with hardly any effort. It probably took me 5-6 quick pulls before she walked at my side entirely, like you see really WELL trained dogs doing. It was amzing, there was actually slack on the leash and I barely noticed she was on the other side!!

After a 3 walks, many birds, bikers, and other dogs passed us by and my dog walked right next to me--I didnt have to pull one time.

Just a breif thoughts to some of the negative reviews: They really made me nervous when I first read them. The worst was wondering if it was humane to use a collar like this--would I be choking my dog or injuring her? After using it: NO! Anyone who thinks differently should try it. She barely seemed to notice when I tugged on the leash--Plus it has actually saved her a LOT of grief. On her regular collar she would pull so hard for so long she would make horrible rasping/caughing/choking noises that would scare me--but It was inevitable if I didnt run behind her keeping slack on the leash the whole 'walk'. Basically a win for both of us.

Also, this is not a "magic cure" It does work LIKE magic, but it's not a cure-all. This is simply a training TOOL, not a trainer. You still need to put forth effort and work with the dog, this collar just makes it A LOT easier to leash train than anything else.

last thought: One of the best purchases I've made in 2012. Just do it!

This collar is great! It has made walking my lab mix fun again!! He is about 55 pounds and used to pull nonstop. This color has made him a different dog. I am able to walk him without getting frustrated and giving up. Definitely worth the money!! Also bought a large one for my American Bulldog who is incredibly strong and it has reformed my walks with her as well.

My girlfriend has the most stubborn dog in the world. He will choke himself to death on a walk and pull like a ox the entire time without ever calming down. Hes half bulldog and very stubborn and strong!!!!!!!!! we've used several tools like the face halter, easy walker chest harness, metal prong collars, simple slip lead collars (they just fell to the bottom of his neck and were useless). I bought 1 for each of my huksies who pulled a little bit and this fixed it 100%, they now walk loose leash right by my side, so i decided to test them out on perhaps the most stubborn dog in the world. IT WORKED WONDERS! absolutely the best collar ive ever used, BY FAR! I would recommend this to anyone who has dog that doesnt walk all that well. If anyone rates this product poorly then they clearly arent using it correctly. Read the instructions and itll work for you as well.

This dog collar really does the trick. I have a pit bull that likes to take the lead so it is hard to give her timely corrections with an ordinary collar. The Illusion collar makes it easy, the correction is timely and appropriate. The minute I put this collar on for a walk she behaves.

I purchased this (in a medium)for a foster pit bull (75 lbs) that I could not walk because if he saw another dog, he would pull me and even drag me to get to the other dog. As soon as I put this on he knew something was differentand now he walks alongside me like a good companion. He will still suddenly pull to sniff at something or lunge towards another dog, but now as soon as he reaches the end of the leash and feels the tension against the back of his head, he stops pulling. I even feel comfortable letting my 100-lb 13-year-old daughter walk him. Which is a relief, because as we all know, a good dog is a tired dog.

This is a fun and effective device to use when you are training your beloved pet dogs. It can help you control them without inflicting any pain or harm on them. It's also water resistant so that makes it a very convenient piece of gadget. A handful of my friends are already using this on their dogs and they are very happy with its results. In addition, the price is very reasonable too. Unlike the other remote control gadgets for dogs, this one is both owner and pet friendly.

Darford Holistic All Natural Grain Free Veggie & Fruit Recipe Dog Treats, 14.1-Ounce

Darford Holistic All Natural Grain Free Veggie & Fruit Recipe Dog Treats, 14.1-OunceI give my dog a variety of healthy and organic treats. These are his favorite and he knows by the package!

We have two dogs, a Great Dane and an Austrian Shepherd mix, the great dane is allergic to every grain and every protein there is except duck. Until I found these treats even his treats were duck, it was the only thing that didn't give him hives and a terrible rash. I chose these treats because they had no grain and no protein in them. Rocky, the Great Dane loves them he does a jump and twirl as soon as I open the bag and our other dog Cairo loves them too.

I think any dog will love them.

PetSafe Yard & Park Remote Dog Trainer, PDT00-12470

PetSafe Yard & Park Remote Dog Trainer, PDT00-12470Four years ago, I purchased the PDT00-10603 generation of this product and I continue to be an avid consumer of this product. I am pasting my prior review below. But, I would like to provide an update on concerns over cruelty, which I go into with the prior review.

I use the trainer to control my dog during hikes and it works. When I pull it out and place the trainer on the counter, my dog jumps up and barks with excitement. While it charges, she lies down and "baby sits" the charger. This demonstrates, in part, that Tobi does not have any issues with this device or concerns over cruelty. It's a great tool!

------------------------

Subject: Wonderful tool; fixed a critical issue

My wife and I love to hike with our German Shepherd. However, her (the dog) behavior had become an issue. Whenever, she sees another dog or horse, she loses her mind, and we lose control of her. We did not want to resolve ourselves to hike with her on a leash.

Now that we have this device she "comes" on command, and not on the second or third time we call. She comes the first time, and to my hand. Now we can hike with her, and gain control when we see dogs, horses, and those who do not share our enthusiasm for dogs.

I like to add this devise is not cruel in any form. It has a dial of 8 settings. I tried it on myself. I could not feel "1" at all. "2" and "3" tingled. "4" felt uncomfortable (not painful), and that is where our dog is set.

The only issue is at home. We have an "invisible fence", which works on a very similar principle. The issue is that when I "beep" her or "zap" her at home, she becomes very confused. Hence, we only use it primarily for our hikes, which was our desired goal anyways.

The conclusion is that I highly recommend it for hiking or rather "off-leash" walks. You may have mixed results at home, if you have an "invisible fence". Although without the "invisible fence" issue, I believe it would be very effective for any sort of training.

Bottom line is that it works and I wish had I bought this tool earlier.

My rescue dog is a Flat Coated Retriever. She has become more and more disobedient over the months since I have gotten her. I love her very much, but was at the end of my rope and was ready to return her after she repeatedly ran into the 55 mph road right off my acreage. She also found it necessary to run into the farmers field adjacent to my yard so she could entice the neighbor's 3 border collies in an aggressive attempt at dominance. Although I have huge yard, it would not be cost effective to fence in 12 acres. Let me also say that my dog KNOWS the commands, "come", "sit", "stay", "drop it", and "no". She would obey these commands indoors, but once we got outside, no amounts of cut up steak would entice her into obeying if she had seen or smelled a squirrel or rabbit. I had also attempted to change her behavior by asserting my dominance as the pack leader. If she disobeyed me, I would immediately tell her "NO", and make her lay down on her side for 10 minutes while I held her there. Obviously, this only worked sometimes and was difficult to do if I had my 3 year old with me outside in the snow at cold temperatures.

I have to say that, for some reason, there is a general societal consensus that shock collars are bad. I subscribed to that until I adopted my Flat Coated Retriever. I had successfully trained an Australian Shepherd and thought getting a rescue dog would be the same amount of ease to train. I was wrong. My rescue dog was a 3 years old retriever with an unknown history and didn't have one ounce of shepherd tendencies. She is a hunting dog and likes to chase EVERYTHING that moves. After reading an article online written by Lou Castle, who is a police dog trainer, my mind was changed. I highly recommend his website to anyone wanting a well trained dog using "ecollars". […]. Needless to say, I got this shock collar and it changed my dog in 1 day! The first day I used it to stop a chase into the road and to stop the aggression with the neighbor dogs. I also learned that my dog had already been "etrained". Once I used the shock collar, she was a velcro dog, continually heeling at my side. It was magnificent.

Finally, for anyone wanting to buy a shock collar for their dog. There is definitely a right and a wrong way to use a shock collar. Please do your research before you decide to correct behavior. You have to give an alternate command when you shock so your dog knows what is expected instead of the bad behavior. When my dog starts chasing, and is given a light shock (we only need to use the sound now without the shock) we would say "come" at the same time so she would know what to do to make the sound/shock stop. Once she takes 4-5 steps toward me, the sound/shocks stop and she is praised when she gets to me with a pat on the head and a few "good girls."

We got a young female hound mix from the ASPCA, and couldn't keep her in the yard. You know hounds: nose down and they're off. A neighbor suggested a radio collar.

We bought this one. I didn't go through the training regimen. She was too timid to work with. All we did was walk her around the yard on a leash some, giving the negative tone and negative voice tones when she tried to leave the boundary. Within two weeks, I started using a long lead and giving a low setting shock along with the negative voice. Within a month, she ran free with the collar and no lead.

It has been 8 months since we started with this product. We shocked her maybe 10 times TOTAL on setting 4. For the past 6, she hasn't left our property. We put the collar on every time she is out and not tied up. She rarely even tests the boundary, but a negative voice is enough to break her from a scent, another dog, or a person and have her head back to the middle of the yard with her tail tucked. She walks right along the unfenced boundary but doesn't cross. I've even taken her to a public park and she listens to the tone and negative commands. She comes when called.

Great product. Use the collar right; making sure it is snug and the electrodes are on the skin, so a low dose is felt. Use TLC with the dog. There should be no need to shock many times.

I ordered this as a replacement due to running the remote for the last unit through the washing machine. It was sufficiently close in price that I just bought a whole new set rather than replacing the remote. I was quite pleased with the original unit and this would give me a spare collar and charger.

I could tell on unpacking it that things had changed and the collar appeared to be more cheaply made now. After using it for a month the battery life on the collar started to degrade rapidly. The prongs on the charging unit broke and would have rendered things useless if I didn't have the charger from the old unit. Now the collar won't charge at all, just three months after having received this new unit. It appears that they've cheapened the build quality a great degree on this product and I'm horribly disappointed. I would not recommend this product at all and I'd be suspicious of anything that PetSafe is putting out these days.

Want PetSafe Yard & Park Remote Dog Trainer, PDT00-12470 Discount?

We have a 65 pound, very stubborn dog that will only listen when he wants to. We had put him through obedience classes and while I think they were great he only listened to commands when it was convenient for him. This product has changed all of that and he is now very obedient. The first time I used the product I had to turn it up relatively high before I ever got a response from him (6). But after only one time of zapping him at that level I have never had to zap him ever again. Now just the warning sound and he will listen to any command I give. He does get scared when I put the collar on him but it is just a mental thing and I hope to break him of this. So I would take the advice of others here and put the collar on 1/2 before and 1/2 after a training session and do fun activities with it on so your dog doesn't associate the collar with negative feelings.

I like the quality of the product as everything feels really sturdy and doesn't feel like it will break. The fake-leather collar is sturdy and very adjustable. I like the option to only give a warning message as I don't want to zap my dog. The charger will charge both the collar and the handset at once and no batteries are needed (This is essential). I don't have any battery issues like other people have reported and the charge seems to last forever.

Sporn Pet Halter, Small, Blue

Sporn Pet Halter, Small, BlueFantastic harness! Almost instantly solved the issue of pulling and darting, and our walks are finally enjoyable for everyone (including other walkers, as he now thinks twice before trying to jump on them to say hello--an unexpected added benefit!). We have a hound/beagle mix, and the harness is much more pleasant than any of the head leaders or Halti products, as they do not in any way restrict his ability to sniff everything. The only issue we had was in the initial sizing. Our dog takes a small in standard collars and harnesses, and the Sporn says that the small is sized for dogs with neck diameters of up to 12". Just to make sure before I ordered, I measured his neck, and it is 11.5". When the collar arrived, even at maximum length, the collar was far too tight around his neck, and the leg straps were digging in too tightly (they say make them "snug", but they were definitely TIGHT and affecting his gait). I returned it and ordered a medium (Amazon was fantastic with the return, as always), and the sizing was perfect! Just know, if your dog is right on the fence size wise, go for the bigger size! Other than that, five stars all the way!!!

I've bought two of these things. (my dog has a bad habit of chewing all his harnesses) but, these Sporn Halters are great and I have better control of him when we're walking. You really can't beat it! Nice!

Buy Sporn Pet Halter, Small, Blue Now

I love theses halters but the small really won't fit much but a Chihuahua or small terrier/poodle. My beagle cross fit inside the neck size requirements for a small but the leg attachments are very short and it was way too snug on him. The medium collar looks so thick on him but it works so much better. If your dog is on the far end of the size requirements, get the next size up. I didn't return it but gave it to my friend who has a Chihuahua and she loves it, and I rebought a medium and I love it!

I have two small dogs and they love their early evening walks. The one thing that bothered with with ordinary collars in the past is that whenever I need to discipline my girls, I felt guilt tugging at the collars thus stressing their necks. This halter prevents all of that and more. The loops that go around their forelegs have this padding to it to prevent any sort of scratching or chaffing on your dog's skin. The material itself is built soundly, it's no flimsy collar.

Now, my two babies love these things and they look forward to always wearing it when I take it out of the drawer.

Sofa Scram Sonic Dog & Cat Deterrent Repellent Mat

Sofa Scram Sonic Dog & Cat Deterrent Repellent MatI love these mats because they really do work my cats went from going on the couch as they pleased to quickly getting the message that the couch was a do-not-enter zone. The high-pitch noise really does get the cats off quickly.

BUT my only problem is that eventually the mats stop working for whatever reason the wiring doesn't work after a few months and the mats won't beep anymore. I bought my first 2 mats in Sept 08 one died about three months later and the other one just stopped working recently (March 09). I changed the batteries but no luck. I was always very careful with the mats and am disappointed that they eventually stop working especially at $25 a pop.

This product was just what I needed. I was trying to find a way to keep the dog off the beds when I left the house. I tried a Scat Mat, but it will not work under a blanket and has to be placed on top of the bed. The dog quickly learned to get over or around it. The Sofa Scram works perfectly for this. Being hidden, the dog never knows when it is there or not. I have been randomly alternating the placement under the top blanket of my bed and my son's bed and the dog seems to have gotten the message. There are no signs lately of jumping on the bed. The only thing I would like to see on this product would be a counter to see how many times it was activated when left alone, but this mat worked great for my purpose.

Buy Sofa Scram Sonic Dog & Cat Deterrent Repellent Mat Now

First I bought the scat mat. Since it has a counter, I knew that my dog was "testing" it while I was out during the day, even on the high shock setting. But he wasn't staying on the couch (judging from the lack of hair), so I came back to Amazon to order another, only to discover the SOFA SCRAM! I tried it, since it was cheaper, and boy have I noticed a difference. There isn't a counter, but if I turn it off and move it to another location, my dog runs out of the way. He won't go near it. I know he activated it one time the first day (there was hair on the couch) but he hasn't gone near it since. I'm here to buy more.

Read Best Reviews of Sofa Scram Sonic Dog & Cat Deterrent Repellent Mat Here

We looked at several different types of pet deterrent mats. Chose the Scram because it worked sonically and ran off batteries rather than needing to be plugged in. (Sat on it a few times myself forgetting it was there under a blanket and glad we hadn't gone the static-shock route. Ha! ha!) We have three huge dogs who were used to having use of the futons around the house. Got some nice leather couches and they proceeded to enjoy them as well, but the scratches were becoming a problem. Bought two Scrams for the loveseat and sofa, laid a blanket over them that could be easily pulled back to switch off the Scram when you wanted to sit on the couch. Lots of beeping for about a week, but they got the point quick. Final lesson could be considered an issue with the Scrams. One had gotten wedged between the cushions while we were out and on our return it was screaming away. We're chuckling as we type this at the image of all three dogs hiding in the furthest room of the house until we switched the Scram off again. The look in their eyes said it all. No dogs allowed on these couches. :) A bonus is that we have a couple other couches that are specifically for them, and they quickly learned the difference and respect it. We're a few weeks out and no longer need to use the Scrams. Lesson learned. Happy dogs. Healthy couches. A few good laughs.

Ummmm totally works like a charm. Every time I'm upstairs and hear a 'beep' and the scrabble of doggie toe nails, I just chuckle, heheheh. Take that, doggles! Furniture is for the two-legged... I give this 5 stars and note it as the best investment of the year.

Loving Pets Pure Buffalo 9-Inch Bully Stick Dog Treat, 4-Pack

Loving Pets Pure Buffalo 9-Inch Bully Stick Dog Treat, 4-PackYes, bully sticks are kind of expensive. Yes, they stink. But, unlike rawhides, they're fully digestible and do not expand in the stomach or intestines.

I cut 9" sticks in half with a Dremmel, so they last longer. If you're going to cut them, though, be sure to do it outside. I cut one with a Dremmel cutter in the house and it was the worst.stench.ever. Also, don't take them outside in warm weather. They attract flies like crazy!

All that aside, our little shark of a GSD pup loves bully sticks! Inch for inch, this pack is one of the best deals out there. And it's cheaper than replacing our carpeting and woodwork. Puppies *WILL* chew. It is our responsibility as dog owners to give them something safe and fun to express their natural urge to chew. And bully sticks are among our pup's favorites.

Our dog is a miniature dachshund but chewed through these a few days each. My biggest issue was they reeked of rotting flesh. I could smell them from over 5 feet away. Dog still loved them though.

Esky Waterproof Electronic Fence Dog Shock Collar System with two collars

Esky Waterproof Electronic Fence Dog Shock Collar System with two collarsThe Good:

The price. At around 1/2 to 1/4 the price of name brand underground dog fences, the price seemed right.

Lots of wire included, enough for over 1 acre.

It works.... for the most part.

The instructions had some broken english, but overall they were very clear and helpful.

Comes with TWO collars

The Bad:

I unfortunately have had one bad experience after another, starting when I opened the box. The generic, ugly box (with no brand name printed on it) just screams "CHEAP." When you open it up and look at the contents, you find the same dissapointment. The receiver is super cheap plastic, the wire is literally the width of fishing line (pathetically thin and weak). The flags are few and cheap as well.

The flags included (only 20) are very cheaply made. The flag pole is cheap, thin plastic that seems like a simple fountain drink straw (terribly difficult to get in the ground).

The receiver doesn't work well sometimes it powers the wire well, other times it doesn't I constantly have to play with it.

That cheap wire I mentioned earlier? Man what a pain! Because it's so thin it kept getting tangled and giving me all sorts of hassles. I ended up ripping it out of the ground and running to my local Tractor Supply to buy heavier gauge wire. Much better! (extra $35 though)

The collars aren't that great. They have a hard time picking up a signal from the wires, yet the moment the dog steps in the house with the collar on, one of our appliances sets it off! To be fair, the manual warns you about this possibility, but it's still very annoying.

My personal recommendation would be to pay the extra $70 or so to purchase a better, name-brand system. This one is bound to give you headaches as it did me, and if you're going to put in all the hard work to install the system, why not get one you trust to last a long time? If you're looking for a simple and cheap system and have a very (very) small yard, feel free to try it out, just don't say I didn't warn you!

Thanks,

Ryan

I know it seems cruel to use this on your beloved pet!

But when they dart out in the road, and a car comes zooming down the street,

your heart just drops thinking this may be the last time, and the car brakes hard ,just barley missing you beloved dog! gosh don't you just hate that sickening feeling.

I bought this item, and it was shipped before said time, the Manuel was a little hard to understand!

but if you read the complete book over twice, you will figure it out, its not that bad!now that i am done.

do not put these collars on your dog without the transmitter turned on!

And do not leave the collars on them all the time!because certain things in the house, can cause interference, and could possibly shock your dog,so please read the book thoroughly!!

update i didn't even have to bury the wire,i just laid it on the ground, and and after thoroughly checking the system and the lay out!

with the test lights that they provide!they also give you little white flags,to put out in the yard,so that when you 1st here the beep, put down a flag and show your dog , bad flag bad!then back off the area! and play with your dog,let him get comfortable, then, i am sorry, but you have to let him get shocked, once or twice to teach him,but they catch on quick!!

No more dashing out, across the road, not even after the cat , or a squirrel !!!

after awhile you can just turn it off, they learn the boundaries quick!

but once in awhile you have to put the collar back on,once in awhile to remind them of the danger of crossing the road! If you love your dog, and they just cant refuse ,running out after squirrels or cats this will stop them

cold!!!!

The wire is very thin and gets tangled quite easily, but if you hold it as you are unwinding it, it isn't that bad, but if you get a good kink in it, it says that there is a break in the line

Dog Supplies Z-Bone Large Apple 6-Pack

Dog Supplies Z-Bone Large Apple 6-PackPersonally I don't get it. I'm not a dog owner but have several friends who are. The price would keep me away if it weren't for the feedback from them. One friend has a fiest who had to have her eyes removed. She is such a sweetheart I had to let her try these based on those recommendations. She loves them! Can find them no matter where you hide them. She loves them so much it makes me feel good to see her enjoy them. Wish there was something like this for my cat.

Our dog loves all the flavors of the Z-bone. Great substantial treat for our large (90lbs) Labrador Retriever. First recived these as a gift and have been purchasing them ever since.

My dog has a system that can't handle the junk that's in a lot of products and is unfortunately stuck into most treats. These are great. I have a German Shepherd and he's pretty rough on bones, this one lasts him a while and he doesn't get sick or have any reactions to them. He takes them out in less than 10 minutes but that's pretty good considering his track record and he just loves them, so definitely a good buy. I haven't noticed the apple ones giving him funny colored poop but the berry ones definitely do, keep that in mind if you notice something off when he's doing his business.

She does not pull when she is wearing it. I like the top hook rather than the chest mounted one on the other no pull harnesses.

My dog won a bag of these in his obedience class the first time we tried them; soon the cat discovered them and now she begs me for them daily. I like these because they are completely natural and nothing but salmon. I don't generally think of feeding fish to dogs but honestly I don't think there is a dog or cat out there that can resist them. I have to ration these or they would all be gone the first time I opened the bag. They are great for training treats because they are freeze dried and don't make a mess in your pocket or pouch and your dog will definitely pay attention to you in anticipation of receiving them. The 4oz bag has larger treats (approx. 3/4" square)perfect size for training and just break them in two for your kitty.

My old greyhound (10 yrs) loves this stuff. I mix four cubes of it into his regular food and he comes quickly and eats all his meals eagerly. Before we added these salmon treats he skipped meals and was definitely not eager to eat when he did eat. He was losing weight slowly.

ANTI BARK STOP BARKING ELECTRIC SHOCK DOG TRAINING COLLAR

ANTI BARK STOP BARKING ELECTRIC SHOCK DOG TRAINING COLLARI bought this collar for my 3 year old hound mix that has a barking issue. I've used regular shock collars on him when he was younger, and he knows the sound of the beep means he's in trouble. The biggest issue with this collar is that it is very inaccurate. The first day I put it on my dog it probably went off 5 times without him barking once. If he scratches his neck, or rubs against anything, it seems to go off. I feel bad because he hasn't done anything wrong, so I finally just gave up and took it off. For it to be an effective form of training, it really should be more accurate. Also I don't know what country the instruction manual was written in, but it might be the worst grammar I've ever seen. It is very hard to understand and really doesn't tell you how to operate the collar well. If it were expensive I would just return it, but for about $10 its really not worth the hassle.

It worked by shocking my dog and having a loud noise as well. The downfall for this item was that it worked when it wanted to. My dog would bark and nothing. I also felt as if I had to almost choke my dog just make it work when it wanted to. Another down side is that the battery used is not sold in normal stores and the batter life lasted two days. So it has sat on the shelf since the first two days of recieving it.

uses up the battery often. doesn't work on low barks, growls or whines...only works with loud barks. (our dog's main issue is whinning, he whines for everything) the collar must be so tight for it to have skin contact to work (almost choking the dog) (sometimes I wonder if he's not barking because he can't breath!) I don't think it would be easy to make skin contact on a dog that has a lot of hair. the price is great, so if you have a minor barking issue and a smart dog you could probably get away with using this product and not have to go thru too many batteries before the dog associates the collar with the barking...we have a border collie and he's pretty smart...it's to the point now that we can put the collar on (not as tight, but snug) and regardless of the batteries status, he is pretty quiet when he's wearing it. We use a similar one for 'whinning' with a remote control, so he 'thinks' the collar equals quiet, lay down, do nothing...which means we have to take it off a lot of the time or he will go nuts with bottled up energy!

I chose this product because the price was good and really needed it. I have two dogs, one seemed to take to it a lot quicker than the other. I lived a town home so I could not have dogs that constantly barked. I have smaller dogs that are usually known for barking. However, now when they do not wear the collar they will bark only once when someone comes to the door instead of constantly barking. It was hard to find the right size collar and I didn't like that it wasn't waterproof. I didn't think I would need it to be water proof until one day the dogs were outside and it started to rain. I was worried that the collar would malfunction if it got wet and the dogs might get shocked or hurt by malfunction. Luckily that didn't happen. If I were going to have my dogs wear this 24/7 or outside for long periods of time, I would not choose this collar just because of unpredictable weather.

WalleyLead 9 Inch Dog Control Leash - Black

WalleyLead 9 Inch Dog Control Leash - BlackThe Walley Lead comes in a couple of different lengths depending on both the size of dog as well as your environmental situation. I have the regular lead and the longer lead in red and blue. I love them. I don't have to wrap the long leash around my hand, cutting off circulation. It allows me to have my other hand free to walk with both my dog and my child. As soon as my dogs' attention is peaked and he wants to go somewhere else, the lead helps me to keep him in control. I have actually purchased several more Walley Leads for some friends of mine at two different lengths. It was a christmas gift for a couple that had very dramatic height differences. They have a high strung lab and she tends to pull a lot when the girl is walking her. I can't speak for them, but I know they do use the leads.

The other part I really like about the Walley Lead is that I can place the lead over my Lab's head when we're either taking a break or we don't need to immediately use it. It doesn't get in his way, doesn't get tight, and it is very easy to remove when we're ready to move on. I just grab the comfy black handle and gently pull the lead back over my lab's head.

Thank you Walley, love the lead! Will be buying more later for other friends & family!!!

Zack & Zoey 12-Inch Nylon 3-Way Dog Coupler, Jet Black

Zack & Zoey 12-Inch Nylon 3-Way Dog Coupler, Jet BlackI am still working on training my two unruly dogs. I was searching for something to attach my two dogs to so when I open the hatchback of my SUV they didn't jump out. After an embarrassing chase in a parking lot when dropping my dogs off at doggy daycare where my dogs ran in circles and I tried to catch them, I knew I needed a solution better than "stay" when I opened the SUV door. I needed something short enough that they wouldn't be able to get close to the edge and hurt themselves. I didn't want to deal with crates or trying to tie their leashes. This is a perfect simple and efficient solution. I attach 1 coupler to a metal ring in my car, and one coupler for each dog. It's short enough to keep them closer to the back seat vs at the tailgate edge. Problem solved! Now I can attach a leash when we are ready and release the restraint when the leash is on. No more houdini dogs and no more embarrassed mama chasing her badly behaved boys. I got ya boyz! Ha.

we were excited to have this for the dogs because my husband can control all the dogs in his wheelchair. It really comes in handy when he takes them to the groomer

i have 2 jack russell's and a boxer... i ordered this for my doggies for when i travel... it was such a hassel dealing with 3 different leashes... now i only have to deal with 2. it's alot easier to handle because i'm not getting pulled all directions and being wrapped in leashes.... i recommend for ppl with more than 2 dogs.

Casual Canine Pastel Mesh Pet Harness - Blue

Casual Canine Pastel Mesh Harness, X-Large, BlueTHIS HARNESS IS DURABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT. LOVELY BRIGHT COLOR AND PLIABLE MATERIAL. VERY STURDY. THIS SHOULD LAST MY 6 MONTH PUPPY FOR MANY YEARS TO COME . IT IS ALSO WASHABLE AND DRIES FAST.

everything it advertises to be. my dog loves the harness but it gives her too much pull on me while bike riding. perfect for walks and runs though

I ordered a similar harness a couple of years ago for my little Yorkie. It fit perfectly. In an attempt to purchase a replacement, I tried this product only to discover that it has a very wide neck section that, no matter what size I order, is just too wide and therefore rides too high on the neck of the animal. The chest adjustment is too small on the size small and too large on the size medium. My vet. assures me that the problem is not the dog! She couldn't get them to fit either!

Guardian Gear Chain Link Pet Lead Leash - Red

Guardian Gear Chain Link Dog Lead, 3-Millimeter, Redthis is a well made, heavy duty lead. my only complaint is that it is heavy, so when your dog is close it drags, or slams into the leg. I would purchase this lead again, because on balance it does what it says & it hangs on to our Chessie, & he can't chew it

Nice quality. Strap in very thick and comfortable. Chain is thick and strong enough for any dog. ... ... ..

Qpets 4 in 1 Training Shock Collar for 1 soprt dog 1000m range

Qpets 4 in 1 Training Shock Collar for 1 soprt dog 1000m rangeI had purchased a more expensive training collar from a chain pet store after attending obedience training classes which had not corrected all of his bad behavior. The remote stopped working in less than 3 months and I wasted money on expensive batteries. This one works much, much better and at half the price. I have rarely had to use the static shock feature as the vibration and/or the beeping does the trick every time! I wish I had known about this product from the very beginning when I rescued my dog in July 2012. He and I are very happy together now!
