Petco 400 Series Dog Crate Replacement Tray

Petco 400 Series Dog Crate Replacement TrayI saw the first review and she felt the same way I did. The exact measurements of these things can be critical. I am amazed that it wasn't included in the description. I googled PETCO 400 series dog crate and found the dimensions. For the 400 it is 23" L X 16" W X 1"

Here is the URL to see the measurements for the other PETCO Crate Trays:I can't really rate it as I have not bought it yet. Just wanted to help others out that needed the measurements.

I need a tray and these are by far the least expensive. I'd buy one but I can't find the measurements anywhere on the description. Without that, it's impossible to buy it. Are the measurements given somewhere and I'm missing it?

PetSafe Deluxe Little-Dog Bark Control Collar, PBC00-10782

PetSafe Deluxe Little-Dog Bark Control Collar, PBC00-10782We have tried this collar and the Tri tronics bark collar for small dogs, and the Petsafe collar is smaller and seems to be more comfortable on our 3 small dogs. The other thing we like about the Petsafe collar is that it is self-adjusting, so if your dog barks once and the first mild shock doesn't correct the barking, it automatically increases the intensity of the shock. The intensity of the Tri tronics collar needs to be manually adjusted by you. Both are good products, but the Petsafe collar works better for us and our mini dachshunds & Papillion.

I have a boxer puppy and I am crate training her. Within a few weeks of use this device has taught her not to bark when she goes into her kennel while I'm at work. I bought this tool initially because I was concerned that her persistant barking would break the sanity for myself and the neighbors. It's a great tool when used correctly and consistently.

--updated ---

Yes, the fact that you have to buy a "special" battery for the device is ridiculous, but you can't deny that it stops the yapping. Make sure you place the device on your little yip-yip snug enough and in the right place as detailed in the directions. Also, be persistent with usage or the dog wont learn to be quiet. Initially, batteries lasted only about 2-3 weeks, but now I go over 3 months on one battery, if I even need to use the collar at all.

Great for helping the dog settle down when kennel training.

The advantage of some of the Innotek products is that some don't require any special battery, but be careful, some do require plugging in to a special charger station (batteries not replaceable in some units).

Purchased this collar for our bichon-poo, he is a little yippy at times. Collar worked fine for about a week, then he started barking again, replaced the battery that cost $10.00, I figured we had a defective battery. Same thing, worked for a week and then the barking started again. Not sure what the problem is, but it seems like the battery only lasts a short time, the dog is not barking when the collar is working so he is not what is causing the battery to run down. Will be returning collar to place of purchase (not amazon) and will buy a different brand, such as Innotek. E-mailed Petsafe without any response.

In May 2009 I purchased this bark control collar for my little dog with a big bark. She's 5lbs and none of the other bark collars would work for her weight, so I opted for a trusted brand and collar that fit the exact description of my dog and her issues. (ie. Little dog, big bark.)

I was so excited to have finally made a decision (I thoroughly research before buying items such as this) and waited impatiently for it to arrive. I purchased this collar online from a third party, and it came shortly after purchase. I thought it was EXACTLY what we needed.

Although the idea is perfect for a little dog, sadly, the shape and firmness of the collar prevented it from connecting in the ideal spot for correction (ie. shock). No matter how tight or loose I made the collar, it simply would not stay in the correct place. Instead, it continuously turned to the side of her neck where it did not work as intended. I kept trying to fix it and put it back where it was meant to be, but it would not stay.

I ended up frustrated that this collar would not work as it was advertised. Therefore, on May 8th, 2009, I contacted PetSafe to explain my discouragement for their product. Unfortunately, I was unable to find my original receipt (although I did still have the package), thus, PetSafe would not stand behind their product and accept an exchange for a collar that 'might' work better.

My husband and I live on quite a tight budget and I was unable to purchase a new bark collar for my little dog. I had already bought a collar from a trusted manufacturer that was made especially for the little dog (which it says on the packaging). I didn't want to sell the collar to some other unsuspecting dog owner, it did not work as it was intended. I would NOT put someone else through the discouragement that I went through after purchasing this collar. So I kept it, on my counter, in the package, for months.

My little dog still had the bark issue, I had a collar that didn't work as it was advertised to, and I was out too many dollars and unable to purchase a new bark collar. Out of desperation, I decided, 'Well, if they won't return it, and PetSafe won't stand behind their faulty product, what else can I do?'

Looking at the collar I noticed that there was a tiny space between the plastic of the collar and the 'correction device'. I purchased a new plain dog collar, cut it to length, cut off the hard plastic strap of the PetSafe bark collar, and shoved the new nylon collar into the space between the plastic collar and the 'correction device'. I sewed that side of the new collar onto the 'correction device' then proceeded to do the same to the other side. To hold it onto my little dog's neck I sewed on two snaps then it was done. It may not look as pretty as it could, but it fit perfectly and the 'correction device' was in the right spot to correct the barking problem.

Today, February 2nd, 2010, for the first time since I purchased this collar, it shocked my little dog and I'm on my way to correcting the little dog with the big barking issue.

Want PetSafe Deluxe Little-Dog Bark Control Collar, PBC00-10782 Discount?

I bought this collar for my small dog, she's only 6 lbs, the collar is so unflexible because its all plastic the anti bark prongs end up on the back of her neck everytime she shakes her head. I cant make it any tighter or she would for sure stop barking, as well as breathing...so I'm out 70 bucks and I still have a non stop barking dog.

Complete Natural Nutrition Cheese Please Dog Treats

Complete Natural Nutrition, Cheese Please Dog Treats, 7-Ounce BoxesThese are our puggle's favorite treat! We discovered the cheese snacks at a small boutique pet store and the dog fell in love with them -he loves anything made of cheese. I was thrilled to find them at Amazon in the two pack at a savings! The treats themselves are small -about the size of a nickel -so they are better for smaller dogs. They even smell good! Only drawback is that there seems to be a lot of broken pieces and cheese "dust" at the bottom of the bag.

My dog oves these treats!! I really like the fact that they are made from cheese. They do crumble easily.

Sporn Pet Head Halter, Medium, Black

Sporn Pet Head Halter, Medium, BlackWe have a 46 pound pit/mutt mix, and I never really got a great fit on her. We bought the medium sized collar and it always felt pinched under her throat. Tried adjusting it, but it always rode back up.

It helped ease the pulling, but she fussed trying to get it off most of the time (ripped apart two of them in no time at all), and almost killed me a few times going down the stairs as she tried to get the nose part off by pushing her head against my leg.

In high energy situations when she pulled against it, she'd wheeze and cough.

We switched over to the Sporn body halter that goes under her legs and has the fuzzy covers to ease any chafing, and the pulling vastly improved -no choking, and everyone is way happier.

Didn't work for us, but maybe she has a non-standard head : )

I bought this yesterday at a retail store and I love it so much I had to let people know. We have a 50lb Terrier (Carin maybe) mix and he is a strong puller. He chases birds, kids, leaves, shopping carts, bicycles etc. He is small but just about rips my arm off every time he chases something down. First time using this he pulled a little and didn't seem to get much leverage and then the walk was wonderful!! He did try and rub his face on things and shake his head to get it off but I don't feel that it was hurting him, just a nuisance. We have tried a martingale collar (I don't want to try a choke because he will choke himself...) and the Premier Easy Walk harness and neither worked very well and eventually he figured them out. I would defiantly recommend this to everyone I know!!!!!

I tried the Gentle Leader head collar as well as the Gentle Leader harness . Neither helped control my 50 lb labradoodle. The Gentle Leader is designed with the leash attachment under the head which seemed to encourage my dog to pull constantly.

With the Sporn collar the leash attaches on the top of the head instead of under. It was pretty easy to fit. My dog almost immediatly walked nicely next to me for the first time . Glad I didn't give up after not succeeding with the Genlel Leader . Sporn Works!

Clean N Tidy Puppy Training Pads - 32 Pads

Clean N Tidy Puppy Training Pads - 32 PadsIn 1 in 20 accidents maybe she gets some pee on these pee pads, but that's clearly just a coincidence because I'm putting the pads where she usually goes. I don't know what all this business is about a special scent that encourages dogs to use the pee pads, I wouldn't buy the hype. Now I have a package of very expensive paper towels.

Maybe I got a bad batch. The other reviewer gave these Clean N Tiday puppy pads a 5-star review. I think they are awful. I bought them because I have a sick kitty who no longer consistently uses the litter box. I picked up one of the pads right after she used it and her urine had soaked through. If you want a pad that doesn't leak, this isn't it. I gave it one star because "no stars" isn't an option.

X-Mat Foldable Training Mat, 18-Inch

X-Mat Foldable Training Mat, 18-InchOkay, here is the deal......this does work. The nubs are not something any pet or person wants to walk on. However, it covers only a small area, so there is nothing to stop your little furry family members from just dropping their presents around it. Once they pick a spot they like to go, they tend to stick to it. I was pretty upset that despite technically working, these were just squares of plastic that likely do not cost much to make. I bought three of them and felt a little jipped. I started thinking, and came-up with a similar concept that works-only it is cheaper and covers a lot more space. I bought a 6ft roll of clear rubber carpet runner for $3.99, and just laid it down upside-down so that the carpet grippers were facing up. Exact same result---cats do not want to step on those uncomfortable nubs. I was able to cut the runner down to the size needed and put it in a couple different places ( with lots to spare), and it actually is less obvious since it is clear. 6 feet instead of 18 inches for 1/3 the price.

I bought these to help with training my cat not to get up on counters or on the chairs by the fireplace and it didn't work. Several times I found her laying on top of them rolling around as if getting a massage. I now use these for kneeling while gardening. They keep your knees clean and airate the ground.

I have 6 dogs, ranging from 13 pounds up to 115 pounds and 3 cats. I tried 2 of these mats for my chairs to see if they would work and ended up buying 18 more. Nobody, but nobody wants to sit on them. The only thing they don't prevent is the cats jumping up on the top of the chairs to lay down. That I can live with. Occassionally the Jack Russell jumps up and tries to lay down but he eventually gives up and lays on the dog beds.

I got five of these originally to keep our kitties off our off-white sofa, not because of fur, but because one of them throws up all over the place. It took only a short period of time for all the kitties to realize that the sofa was no longer comfortable. I didn't even have to leave them on the sofa. Then, we started having problems with stray cats coming to the house and getting our kitties all excited by pawing at the windows of our screened-in porch. I took the X-Mats and placed them so the stray cats couldn't get past them on the stairs leading to the porch. Worked perfectly; our cats no longer go bananas and destroy things because rude strange cats are taunting them.

Very practical training tool, even for strays.

X-Mat Extra Training Mat Foldable, well it does not work as well as i hope, my cat still jumps on the sofa with the mats in place. Our cat will walk on the mat, but it is not comfortable enough for it to sit on (so that is good). The folding feature is useless, the plastic is too hard to fold, not realistic as a everyday folding feature (makes a small package for shipping).Over all it works fine.

Premier Nite Lite Reflexite Nylon Collar in Black, D-Ring in Front, 1" x 21"

Premier Nite Lite Reflexite Nylon Collar in Black, D-Ring in Front, 1' x 21'I am very impressed with these collars. They are made of very heavy-duty nylon and I like the way they are designed so that the buckle does not rest directly against the dog's neck. The buckle is padded by a layer of the collar itself. It also has a sewn-in reflective strip for additional safety. I think they will hold up very well. The 21" size fits both my pit bull and my German shepherd. I highly recommend these collars.

Haute Dauge Micro Pinch Collar 9"

Haute Dauge Micro Pinch Collar 9'I have a 3lb 12oz dog, who is precious but pulls on lead. She has a tiny neck and I knew that her pulling and my

trying to stop her was not good for her neck. I needed something that would stop her pulling with out hurting her.

That being said, I wondered, "who puts an almost 4 lb dog in a pinch collar?" When I found this collar I decided I

would give it a try. It works well and it doesn't seem to cause her any discomfort, but she does not pull as she used to pull.

Even little dogs need to learn manners and this one has helped me to teach my little girl that she needs to do as I ask.

I have a very small 3 lb dog, but still needed a couple of extra links to use it without hurting my dog. It's not as well designed as the Herm Sprenger collars. I have a hard time keeping it prong-side in. But it still seems to be the best choice for a small dog and it works better than a choke collar for training.

Keep Off! Outdoor Repellent 24-Ounce Spray

Keep Off! Outdoor Repellent 24-Ounce SprayI bought this for my 3 month old golden retriever puppy, because he loves to chew the plants out the front porch of my house. He also loves to chew the oriental rug that I have under the livingroom coffee table, he has also peed on it. However, I got the spray and soaked the rug through, waited for it to dry out and put it back in the house, I also sprayed the plants that he chews the most. To make the story short.. next time the puppy went outside, he chewed the plants away, and the next time I brought him into the livingroom he chewed on the rug and peed on it too. So, bottom line, don't waste your money! plus it has a weird smell and including shipping it was almost $20. Just don't.

I got this to keep my kittens off shelves with glass vases on them. It works great! They sniff it, look displeased, and find somewhere else to play. They love to be up high so I knew this would be a challenge. When I follow the instructions (spray every day) it works great. You don't need to spray a lot so the smaller bottle I got has lasted me months so far and is still at least half full. If I'm consistent they stay away even when I forget. I've only caught one of them on the shelf since I started and that was right after we were all away for a week and a half and this spray had worn off.

They also used to sprint into the bathroom as soon as the door was open so I started spraying the doorjam. Now they look like they really, REALLY want to go in but they sit still and wait for me to come out instead.

It has a terrible smell. And it does not deter my cat. In fact, she goes over to see what I did to things I sprayed it on. And stays there for a while. I wish I could get a full or partial refund. I should have bought Bondaries again, because that product works.

Cardinal Laboratories Pet Botanics Indoor Bitter End Spray

Cardinal Laboratories Pet Botanics Indoor Bitter End Spray, 8 OuncesBeing a firm believer in first subjecting myself to anything unknown that I intend to administer to my dog, I tasted this product. GOOD LORD ALMIGHTY this is the worst taste sensation imaginable. Prior to the experience, I could not in my imagination even conceive anything being such an affront to the senses. If it's even half as effective to the taste of a dog as it is to humans (and I expect, in the case of dogs, an amplification of the effectiveness) then there is no way in the world that your dog will be able to endure this. Be careful that you do not get any of this stuff on yourself, lest your dog accidentally lick you and fear you for the rest of its natural existence. This kind of power should require a license.

This works!!! I sprayed the corners of my couch pillows, the corners of the furniture and anything that the dogs were trying to

chew on.

I have used this with 3 different very oral young pups.

They tried to gnaw on the hard plastic base and arms of my office chair, table legs and some drywalled corners of my cubicle.

It is most potent while damp, tho if you touched an area that was nearly dry, you might get a nasty taste in your own mouth!

Some pups are very persistent, so a consistent use over a few days, and then an infrequent use over the next week or so did the trick. They nosed at the old spots, but never gnawed again.

I have recommended it to a few other people and they have said it worked for them.

At least it can help strengthen the "LEAVE IT" training for tempting items.

My coworker gave this to me, to try on my puppy. He keeps chewing on the bed frame, my shoes, etc. My coworker forewarned me that it didn't have any effect on her dogs. But, I thought I would give it a try on my puppy. I sprayed it on the bed frame and the underneath area that he chews on. When it was wet, he made a face like he tasted something nasty so I thought it had worked. But, after a bit he was back at it chewing away not even considered of the taste. Then, my boyfriend was playing with the puppy and managed to get that taste in his mouth from the puppys fur. Well...it worked for him...but not the puppy...

I'll be donating it to the cat shelter.

Garmin Astro 320 GPS Tracker for Sporting Dogs (Bundle, US)

Garmin Astro 320 GPS Tracker for Sporting Dogs
  • DC 40 GPS Dog Tracking Collar included.
  • Able to track up to 10 dogs simultaneously.
  • Built-in vibration motor to support silent alerts.
  • 2.6" 65K color TFT display.
  • Worldwide basemap with shaded relief.

I purchased this to replace a 200 model. It works just as well but not any better than the previous model in that you can always follow the arrows to find your dog but the compass seems to have trouble staying oriented to the north. I am needing to recalibrate often the so called 3rd axis where you can read it with it vertical is no better than the old one. All in all if you need a dog location device the Garmin Astros are the best on the market but save some money and get the previous model. If you are like me and had an older model the upgrade is not worth it wait for another upgrade.

I purchased this product to put on my beagles. It is a little bulky and Garmin has had some issues with the antenna and signal strength.

The birdseye imagery (which is what makes this unit awesome) really sucks because of the download speed cap. It is so frustrating it makes me not like the actual product a little bit.

Signal loss is a huge issue!! For advertising 13 miles with the extended antenna only consitently delivering 1 to 2 miles is really a crappy thing to do. I did get one read in perfect conditions standing on a mountain at 4.14 miles but that was only for a second and then it quit.

Still its an ABOVE average GPS stand alone system with lots of capabilities and keeping track of dogs is really easy even if the bulky makes iit difficult for the dogs.

Worth every penny to keep the dogs safe and be able to use topo maps and birdseye with it makes it fun to use as well.

PS. FOR 600 BUCKS MAPS SHOULD BE FREE!!! when you first get the unit you have nothing at all unless you spend hundreds more on maps or buy birdseye..

This item is perfect without the map downloaded! Even better when you do download the topo map of your choice. This tracker is worth the money. Have seen other trackers that cost just as much or more that do not have the features the Garmin does. There is just no comparison. Could not see myself hunting without it now.

Want Garmin Astro 320 GPS Tracker for Sporting Dogs (Bundle, US) Discount?

I finally bought this product on sale at REI after I (for not the first time) lost track of my husky, but this time he ended up following someone home and nearly ended up at Animal Control. I employed my tracking dog to find him, and didbut it was a bad situation. I thought I wouldn't need to pay so much $$ for a collar, and could train him to come when called or avoid losing sight of him, but things happen out in the woods, and I finally decided to spend the money I am so glad I did.

I currently only have one collar which I use on my widest ranging dogmy husky. I uploaded free maps from the orienteering club and state websites and have detailed maps of our normal running routes and mountain hikes. The GPS tracks great, I especially like the symbols of a running, sitting, and treeing dog. I can tell when my dog is running, which direction he is going, and what he is doingrunning, standing or "treeing quarry" (which happens when they find a moose). This means I am able to call the dogs off whatever they are bothering, without needing to see what they are doing in person. I can also call my dog back if he goes down the wrong trail or I want to turn around, and then know when he has turned around. My husky loves to lead the way, and this puts me at ease, letting him run a bit free-er in safe areas.

The range on the signal isn't so great in the mountains, but I will carry the extended antennae next time and see how that works. I know that the signal will be lost no matter what antenna I am using if my dog ends up on one side of a mountain ridge and me on another, but at least I'll know where to start looking, and can get high enough to get a signal if I need to. In the mountains, I tend to lose a signal if the dog gets over a mile away. In the woods, he can be about 2 miles off and I have still been able to track him.

Keep in mind, pet owners, that the collar does not control the dog, it just tracks him. There is nothing I can do, if he can't hear me, to get him back if he is heading toward a road. It is great for wide open spaces and allows me to give my happy runner freedom to explore, but it does not have an e-collar feature like the newest "Alpha". I may upgrade to the Alpha at some point if and when I decide I need an e-collar.

The collar is a bit bulky, especially with the antenna hanging off the side, but my dog doesn't seem to mind at all. He is 80 lbs, but the collar also didn't bother my 55 lb dog. It seems like the device on the collar could be a bit smaller, but it's held together great, in rain, snow, and sub-0 temperatures. My dog has probably covered 2,000 miles of running using the collar and no problems so far. So despite its bulk, the collar appears to be well constructed.

Battery life on the collar seems greatnever had a problem and I put it on the charger when I am not using it. The GPS has lost power after about 6 hours of use, but I can carry additional double-A batteries on longer trips to take care of this. If we go out on a really long trip, like an extended backpacking journey, it will be a shame to not have a way of charging or replacing batteries on the collar. I am not sure if this is possible, although remote solar may do the trick. Another option to save battery is to have a longer amount of delay between readings. I haven't tried this yet, but will weigh in if I try this.

The screen on the GPS is hard to read. Lower quality than say, and iphone or e-reader. It can be annoying to see in the dark (it's dark here all winter) but it works and I haven't had it effect my ability to track my dog. Also, the Astro would be absolutely less useful if I didn't have the detailed trail maps. Without the maps, I don't know if my dog is on or off trail, where he is running to, or how best to get to him. So, you will need to go online and search or pay for topo maps to get the best use out of this (already expensive) tool.

One of the funnest parts of this device is to look at the dog's track and my track after a run. My dog usually runs at least 1 mile more than me, sometimes a whole lot more. You also can see the dog's thought process as he runs the woods off trail. Dogs have an amazing sense of direction.

All in all, this purchase has paid for itself already in lost time and energy worrying about my dog and calling him. Often, when I would think he is "lost" he is actually quite close, running a different route. That is how I used to lose track of him sometimes, turning around to look for a dog that was actually in front of me already.

I don't want to promote irresponsible pet ownership with the product, but for those of us with huskies or similar dogs who like to wander a bit, it is very useful. I think you will find that your dog is actually keeping pretty good track of you, he just doesn't show himself real often. For me, it has been a purchase I would make again, and I may buy another collar for my youngest dog, just for peace of mind. Great product, and works as intended.

First of all, I coon hunt 5 nights a week. The astro 320 is not smaller than the 220, it gobbles up name brand batteries. It loses signal when dogs get out to about 900 hundred yards where I hunt and the 220 side by side picks back up better , the 320 stays stuck while dogs are getting hundreds of yards away. I have to keep recalibrating the compass, I recommend the 220 with the dc40 collars. The maps should be free, I have had trouble with the map card staying place and also the back cover on the 320. Take my advice, the astro 320 does not out perform the 220 besides the birdseye view.

Guardian Gear Chain Link Pet Lead Leash - Red

Guardian Gear Chain Link Dog Lead, 3-Millimeter, Redthis is a well made, heavy duty lead. my only complaint is that it is heavy, so when your dog is close it drags, or slams into the leg. I would purchase this lead again, because on balance it does what it says & it hangs on to our Chessie, & he can't chew it

Nice quality. Strap in very thick and comfortable. Chain is thick and strong enough for any dog. ... ... ..
