I bought this carrier for my tom cat who weighs about 20lbs. If you are buying this to accommodate a larger/heavier pet, BE WARNED: the crate will FLEX under their weight. On several occasions, this actually caused the door to open and my cat literally fell out into a parking lot. On the final occasion of using this crate, it flexed and the carry handle on top simply popped out of place. I was at the top of a staircase when this occurred. Can you guess what happened? Yes, my cat, in his carrier, was tossed helplessly end over end down a flight of stairs because this crate does not actually hold up for heavier pets. I am also writing a letter directly to the company to alert them to this flaw in design.

This is an awesome carrier at an awesome price! Super easy to put together, and super sturdy. I haven't experienced the flimsiness with the door and having to bend the plastic that one of the other reviewers mentioned. Everything fits together very smoothly, and it's very roomy inside. The colors are very nice and it looks way more expensive than it was. My puppy is learning to like it, too.

One thing I will say is pay attention to the sizing. It says large, but they recommend use for dogs (or cats) under 25 lbs, so I wouldn't call it large and I wouldn't get it if you have a large breed puppy. It's fine for my puppy though, she has more than enough room and space to grow so it works for me!

Also, I highly recommend [..](who seem to be the only ones selling this for such a good price, but order it from Amazon because I think it's more expensive on their website last I checked!) I've made 3 orders from them now, including the one for this carrier, and they always have the lowest prices! The shipping is very fast too.

When researching a new crate for our Chinese Crested, I decided on the Petmate Kennel Cab. I checked all the sizing information (as clearly stated on the Amazon website) and chose accordingly. It fit our dog perfectly. It's not the sturdiest of kennels, but we only needed it for home use and not travel, so this is fine. It would have been a 5-Star review if I felt completely comfortable transporting our dog in it, in case we needed to travel with it.

I am so tired of reading poor reviews of products that people write when it's their own fault the product didn't work for them. Yes, this is called a large. Is it very large? No. But the dimensions are listed. Learn to research before buying and stop blaming the companies. It's your own responsibility to spend your money wisely.

Bought this crate at Petsmart, and after assembly, put my 5 lb puppy in and the bottom opened up and my puppy hit the floor. She limped the rest of the day. We again latched it, without our puppy inside, and it seems to latch, but when picked up, it comes apart again. The latches are defective. I contacted Petmate, told them of the problem, and sent pictures of the taxi and how the latches were not working. All they offered was nothing. Again I contacted them and they offered to send new latches. I explained this was a NEW taxi and thought they could do better than that, since Petsmart was out of them. They finally said they would send a new one to me if I provided them with a copy of my receipt and address. I did immediately because we bought this taxi for an upcoming trip and need it now. That was almost a week ago and I still have not heard anything from them. I called yesterday and left a message, and no call back. I would never again buy from this company. They have no customer satisfaction and their products are sub-standard. They were also unconcerned about the condition of my puppy. So if you care about your pet, buy from a different company and let Petsmart know about Petmate's customer satisfaction, or lack of!

UPDATE:

After filing a complaint with the BBB, I was contacted by Petmate and they are sending me a new taxi. Guess they don't like being turned in to the BBB. Now, will wait and see if I DO receive it, but I need it by Nov. 1 for a trip, and they say it will take 3 to 5 business days for it to get here, which will be too late? You'd think after contacting them weeks ago, and explaining my problem, they would overnight it. So, again, if you want a good pet taxi, built by a company who stands by their product, don't go with Petmate!

UPDATE:

After explaining 3 to 5 business days was unacceptable, since I first contacted them 10/11, and our trip is planned for Nov. l, and asking it be overnighted, we received it Sat., Oct. 29th. So, we finally did get our problem resolved, with the help of the BBB, but buying from this company is not worth the headache. Do yourself a favor and buy from someone else.

This is a fine lightweight kennel. Our small 14lb dog fits in it perfectly.

The door is a bit flimsy, by that I mean the pins that insert into the top and bottom of the box dont always line up with their holes, and you bend the plastic cage slightly to make it fit. No real problem with that, but it is a bit flimsy.

Joybies Pads for Piddlers(TM)

I bought these to go along with my Joybies Piddle Pants for my cat who is very naughty. They work well. Since I started using them I have not had to wash the carpet. Though I do wish the piddle pants had a vinyl lining on the bottom or inside, because I have noticed it has a tendency to leak a bit into the material of the pants. I've washed my blanket the cat likes to sleep on a couple of times because of the leakage and not knowing she's gone until later, but that would be fixed if the pants had a vinyl lining to hold it in. But these pads work well for what they're for.

Your piddle pants and diapers have been a blessing for my senile senior cat. I would highly recommend your products.

I am sure this product works great. And I really needed it. Unfortunately, by the time it arrived, my cat had passed away.

I placed this order on Feb. 19. The stated arrival date was between March 18 and March 26. Joybies listed it as shipped on Feb. 24. It arrived on April 3, 2013. The post mark was April 1, 2013! What the heck?!? After my cat passed away, I forgot about this order. But, having this product in the time frame promised, would have saved me a lot of hassle, as my cat was urinating on the bed every day prior to his death.

If you check Joybies customer feedback, you will see that many customers have had this problem with Joybies.

Precision Pet Country Lodge

It's pretty hard to find a good deal on a large size dog house that matches the decor in your yard. This one hit the spot. It is all natural wood that looks and feels great. It comes in pieces in a box and all you have to do is screw them together. The screws have pre-drilled holes so you can't make mistakes. I gave this a four stars instead of five because the wood could have been a little thicker, and it could have had some water proofing/shingles for the roof. The floor is raised off the ground to keep your pet dry, but they don't mention that he legs are adjustable to keep the house level. Each leg has a plastic covered screw that allows you to adjust its height. Overall this is a great dog house for a large breed dog like a Yellow Lab.

This is a relatively light weight but sound structure. Clean lines and natural material blends well outside. Passed the pet litmus test the dog and cats like it and use it a lot. I'd rather have a slightly smaller opening as I suspect it will allow rain in, but haven't had it long enough to test. If so, I can put a shelter over it easily. The weather here in Sacramento is a good match for this structure. The dog uses it even in hot weather as the wood floor is very good thermal barrier. I'm very pleased with this product as I did my homework and this is a good fit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the material is fairly light. On the flip side, lighter weight is a plus as it is easy to move.

We have this on my covered porch, which can get some wind blown rain. I don't know how well it would stand up to full exposure of elements. The roof is made so water won't leak. The legs are a nice touch to keep it up off the wet surface. Very easy to put together, like an Ikea shelf, especially with a power screw driver. Has a nice woodsy, cabiny look to it. I'd buy it again.

This dog house really does look great, which is important for our HOA (no igloos allowed). It took about 15 minutes to unbox and assemble, and it seems to be good quality. I really like the adjustable feet for uneven surfaces. I'm giving it 4 stars now because I don't know how it will stand up to the elements, but if it's still in good shape next year, I'll update.

The bad news: I've been happy with other Simple Solutions products before, so I bought the large size for our 46 pound mix breed dog. She's 14 and has bladder/urethra cancer. I can't get these diapers to stay on our dog. They seem like they will stay on when you first put them on, but they look kind of "low rise" to me. For our size dog, they don't go all the way up to the tapered part of her waist. Then, they either come unattached on the sides or just slide off the back of the dog. The only time we use the diapers is at night, and they always come off when she moves around in her sleep which you can imagine isn't the best of help for our situation.

The good news: I emailed Simple Solutions about the problem, and they got back to me almost immediately and it wasn't even a "form" letter! They thanked me for my input and told me they always welcome fresh ideas regarding their products. They said they would forward my suggestions (for a longer waist to tail measurement) on to their marketing department. They also said I could return the unused product for a full refund. So I must say, even though I was displeased with this particular product, their customer service was DEFINITELY a plus!!

I have a 13 year old Standard Poodle with incontinence issues despite hormone pills. Simple Solution is the best product on the market. The absorbency is high and there is no odor. The urine is absorbed away from the skin and fur. Excellent product.

I've been using these diapers for our older dog who do to medications that she is taking is incontintent. I had the same problem as expressed by other reviews that the space between the hole for the tail and the waist is tooo short. I modify the diaper by expanding the hole downward to allow the diaper to move up over our dog's 'waist'. Our dog is a small dog around 30 lbs -a cocker -beagle mix and I use the large size diapers for a good fit. I continue to use this brand and modify them as they are the only option that I like.

We use these diapers for our slightly incontinent older female Labrador Retriever and they work OK. I say "OK" because every once and a while we get up in the morning and her diaper is no longer on her. Not sure how she gets them off but she does, so at night we double bag her and that seems to work well. The price on Amazon is about half of what we paid at a local big box pet supply store.

These diapers work well for our occasionally incontinent dog. Reusable closure is especially important to us as she sometimes does go out and hasn't soiled her diaper, which we keep on her at all times inside the house. The closure does need work, though. Sometimes they re-seal and hold well, but at least 1/3 of the time the tab pulls off the diaper or doesn't hold. Duct tape helps us get more mileage out of a diaper when a tab fails.

I have nothing to bad to say about this item. I have a 115 lab that hates to walk with a leash. It use to be impossible to walk him as he would pull me off my feet(I am 6'1" 210). to chase a bird, rabbit, or ball whatever he saw, with a choke chain or regular collar. With the Halti my 8 year old daughter walks him with no problem.

Speed-e-Treat

Pros:

1. Snaps onto almost anything

2. Holds a good amount of treats

3. Easy fill and easy treat release

4. Makes clicker training much easier

5. Can dispense treats with one hand

Cons:

1. Not all treats work in this, I recommend kibble like treats, or something small and roundish

2. The clip can be annoying to attach to some objects

Other Thoughts:

I use this with clicker training and it works very nicely. If using small treats it holds more than one session of training and frees up a hand as it isn't required to be held and can dispense treats easily with one hand. This comes in handy when you have a leash, clicker, and need to give treats.

This product is nearly perfect for what it does. The material is tough, but soft enough to easily use. Just squeeze the bottom and out come the treats. Get too many, pop them back in through the top. Unlike a bag, the treats won't spill if you bend over or lean down. My only minor quibble is that the belt hook included is not easy to attach. I bought a little 10lb carabiner which clips on to the speed-e-treat in a snap, and on/off my belt loop just as quickly. Great product that would easily get 5 stars with a better belt clip setup out of the box. Recommended without hesitation.

This thing is fabulous. I've taken a few dogs through obedience and always have a hoodie or jeans pocket full of dog treat crumble when I'm done. I'm also usually missing cues or rewards to the dog b/c I'm digging around trying to get a treat out. (I have a Bull Terrier, and food motivation is the way to go, these dogs would move cars if there was a treat in it for them.)

I took another reviewers advice and got the Charlie Bear treats, and also got a box of the Zuke's Mini Baked. They both work but the Charlie Bear works significantly better. They are little discs of a treat that slide right out. By the end of the first class I had figured out how to have the dog in heel position in my left hand w/the leash and use my right hand to squeeze and dispense treats w/o even stopping. Often more than one will come out, but I just hold it until I need it, works better than going to the thing ever 10 steps anyway. The Zuke's treats are more 'chunky' and harder to get out, you sort of have to open it 'more' and I found myself dropping more of these.

The clip could certainly be better and I had planned to swap it with a carabiner but so far it's working just fine for me, once I got it attached correctly. There is a 'right' and 'wrong' way for sure, if you get it through back to front (I think, don't have it w/me now, use your sense) it lies flat against your hip instead of flopping around. I just slide it down onto the pocket of my jeans and have no problems. Like another reviewer pointed out, it's great to be able to bend down and more around w/o dumping your little 'fanny pack' of treats everywhere.

I highly recommend this product, does exactly what I was hoping to find something to do. Amazing, how simple it is, really.

The puppy pads are useful, but I have found another brand was more absorbant, didn't let the pee seep through to the floor like these did. Other than that, our puppies seem to be attracted to them, 8 times out of 10. The price is pretty decent too.

I usually purchase cadet from a local store and they cost slightly more so I thought I'd try these out. These pads were not the same quality as the ones I usually purchase. The others are more absorbent and much thicker and heavier material. These weren't even the size that I expected(they are about an inch smaller than the Cadet brand that I usually purchase). They served the purpose but I was very disappointed in the overall quality of the product.

I used this to teach my dog to tell me when he needed to go out so that he wouldn't learn to bark instead. I didn't want my dog to scratch on the door or bark to tell me he wanted to go out, so I started early with him to touch the bell with his nose to indicate he wanted to go out. I have one at the back door, one at the top of the stairs, and one on my desk at work (he is a service dog). I trained him to "touch" to indicate he needs to go. Since he already had a schedule to go out at 11, 2, 5, 8, and 10pm, I jsut made him touch it at those times that I was going to take him anyway. He got used to touching before the door would open. Now, if he needs to go and it isn't a regularly scheduled time, he will touch the bell. I hear the sound, and I will let him out (as will my family members). I did this with my prior dogs too, but the bell I had before was a heavy sleigh bell which was just too big for a papillon. This is light enough for any sized dog to use.

this product is well made. it actually looks good hanging on the door. i've had it for several months now and neither of my dogs ring the bell. one did it once but it was more out curiousity then anything else. now when i ring the bell, they come running. they know it means i'm letting them outside. i took care of a puppy for 5 months and tried training him as well. he never rang it either; but he too, knows when i ring the bell it's time to go outside. i will admit that once we used the bell for about a week, he would not go in the house and as soon as i rang the bell, to the door he ran.

This product actually works. I was worried that my new puppy, an Australian Cattle Dog, would have accidents because she doesn't make noises at the door like my Basset Hound does. However on the first try, she realized if she touched the bells, she could go outside and potty. The only reason I don't "love" it is because it jingles every time I open the door too. :)

We ordered this to help housebreak our 2 month old puppy, and he learned quickly and was accident-free in 2 weeks. The potty bells have also saved our door from a lot of puppy scratches -we just hung them on a nail beside the door and he hits them with his nose when he wants to go out. WARNING: be sure during training when he rings the bells, you only take him on a leash to his potty spot, then reward and bring him straight back in. At first we let him out off leash and he rang the bell like crazy to go outside for "play time".

I didn't know if it would work, but tried it out on my very rambunctious 7 month old Australian Shepherd and it works. I was worried that, if I could get her to ring the bells, that she would pull it all to pieces, but she hasn't done that. Not sure what would happen to it if she had claw, bite, or pull at the bells. It wasn't altogether flimsy, but it it was real tough made either.

I bought (2) vests, one for my 65lb Chocolate lab and my 75lb Viszla mix. The vests fit great. Make sure to expose them to light so the reflective strip works. Even if it hasn't been exposed to light the bright orange gives them high visibility. They wear these when we run at night. Now that the sun sets at 4:30pm most of our run is in the dark. The vest secures around their stomache and around their collar. It works both with a standard collar, and a prong collar. I run one dog with a standard and one with a prong collar. Definately recommend this.

I take my border collie out camping and hunting and have started using this high-vis vest to keep him safe. The vest is easy to use, a velcro attachement around his collar and another velcro waste band. My dog was curious about his new vest for a while, but that passed once he started moving around. Works great and I highly recomend.

The vests did not bother either of my dogs the first time -and they now get super excited when they see the vests come out of the closet because they know they'll be going out. Great service from seller, but item is not what I hoped for. Difficult to get leash attached through small neck hole, and if you skip that step the vest slides side to side on dog-not comfortable.

The quality of the product as it is seems good, but this vest is held on with Velcro that is too easy to pull off. My dog pulled this off in 6 seconds. I can't make this stay on him. There is only the one belly band and another flap that wraps around the collar also held on with velcro. I bought another brand for my larger dog which cost just a few more dollars which had several straps with disconnects that had not only a belly band but leg straps front and back besides the belly band. For my dog at least, i'll have to find something like this.
