Virtual Barrier Indoor Spray Barrier System

Virtual Barrier Indoor Spray Barrier SystemBought this as a christmas gift, supplier is As Seen On TV Products () rather than Amazon. The supplier sent me just the base (no collar, CD, spray refill, batteries, etc). Also, the box was retaped with scotch tape and the corners were dented, indicating to me that they sold me a refurbished or opened-box unit. I called them to arrange for a return and re-fulfillment. Instead, they offered to send me the collar. I declined because I wanted exactly what I ordered: the entire system, and what they sent me was in poor shape, which I cannot gift. They then requested that I return the item at my own expense ($ USPS) and they would then ship out a new one. I requested that they pay for shipping since this was their mistake. They refused, offering to pay my shipping but not send me out a new 'system' like I ordered. When I checked my credit card statement, they of course did not refund the shipping costs. I was unable to file a A-Z claim with Amazon since their records show a refund of the original price was issued.

I recommend that you avoid doing business with As Seen On TV Products. Buy this product from another source.

55 ct Gridlock Puppy Training 24" x 24" Wee Wee pads

55 ct Gridlock Puppy Training 24' x 24' Wee Wee padsMonths later, I am still having post-traumatic stress from finding a curly tailed smashed mouse within the layers of a Gridlock pad...but I am happy to tell you that I have discovered many USA made under-pads made for humans which are larger and cheaper than these filthy, China made pads.

I purchased directly from Dig it, and when I spoke to them they were as unconcerned with this incident as the Chinese manufacturers of the pet food ingredient that killed thousands of our countries dogs and cats a couple of years ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if these pads also contained carcinogenic ingredients these people just don't care their one and only goal is to get as much cash out of our pockets as possible with as little expenditure to them as possible, no matter who it KILLS!!!!

These pads hold large amounts of liquid and do not shred when our cats try to "cover up" their messes. We are using these pads for our older cats even though they have ample access to litter boxes, sometimes they don't make it for whatever reason. Since we've started using these wherever we think they might have an accident, they choose the pads instead, which has saved our carpets from the urine they we all know never comes out. We also use them if the large dog we have is kept inside for long periods of time. She just automatically went on them. We've tried the cheaper kinds but they shred or don't hold as much. Now we buy these in bulk.

I've purchased these in the larger 100 pack and wanted to add my review to this size package as well. These are the most absorbent pads that I have ever used. I read good things about them (under the other pack size reviews), but they are better than I ever expected! I will never use another brand again.

My dog goes on any wee wee pad, because I change products frequently, looking for a more absorbent pad & one that she doesn't shred. She gets enough use out of one maybe up to 3 days. I leave 1 in the bathroom & 1 in the kitchen. There is no odor, so that's good. Also the liner around the pad is light colored so it doesn't attract her attention to bite it. But if I'm gone all day (if I'm @ work) she might go crazy & shred it a little. But I think she's getting better, now that she's a little older, maybe she outgrew that stage. (I hope so because sometimes she ate the plastic & padding!!!)

It could be a little thicker but at least it absorbs. I ordered another pack this time the larger ones. If it's too big I'll cut it in half.

I have an older, diabetic cat, Java, who has taken to peeing (and peeing and peeing!) just outside her litter box, and these large 24x24 inch pieces of heaven have saved me a ton of grief...and money on other cleaning supplies. I was a little skeptical at first because of Gridlock's surprisingly low price point, compared to the more expensive Wee-Wee Pads, but have become a true believer. First of all, that extra 2"x1" over the standard Wee-Wee Pads (22x23 inches) makes a world of difference with Java's "splash zone". Plus, they seem far more absorbent and sturdy, which is important because Java loves to scratch the pad overzealously after doing her business, as if it were litter.

SENSE-ation No-Pull Dog Harness - Medium/Large Red with BlackThis product is very effective for walking with a strong young dog. We have a one year old, 50 pound American Staffordshire mix with a tendency to pull its person in different directions during a walk. This harness helps him stay on course and seems to fit him well. The design and product quality is quite sound.

Wellness Just for Puppy Dog Treats

Wellness Just for Puppy Dog TreatsI bought these when I first got my puppy and she loves them. I went back to the pet store where I purchased them and they were all out and I paniced. I found these online and it was such a good deal I couldn't not by them. My puppy gets all excited when she hears me open the bag. They are great training treats.

I'm very careful with what I feed my two Yorkies (Bonnie & Clyde). With that said, I only purchase food and treats with little to no wheat or corn. After leaving my local "pet store" armed with one package each of many different brands and types of puppy treats, they have chosen one! It is the Wellness just for puppy treats. They absolutely love these little bites. My little babies completely trust and rely on me for their health and safety and I feel totally confident that I am providing them with wholesome, nutritious treats.

My teacup Maltese does love these and scarfs them down in seconds. Though I haven't come across a treat he doesn't enjoy yet... THOUGH, I have found that it can make his stool a bit too soft, so I make sure to trade off between these and other treats...

My 7 week old golden retriever/pit bull puppy loves these! I don't use them for regular training because they're a bit bigger than I like (Try Zuke's Mini Naturals Dog Treats, Peanut Butter, 1lb., my pup loves the salmon and the peanut butter flavors, they also have chicken which we haven't tried yet. They're small and soft, but not squishy or greasy.) I use Wellness puppy treats for getting my puppy to go into her crate, it works very well. I also use them for special things like baths and nail trimming. They're her favorites!

The only thing is that the packages are very small and only come in one size. I would not recommend these as a treat for normal training, using a lot would get expensive really fast, even buying in bulk.

I'm still giving them 5 stars though, my pup loves the taste and the price is fine for me because we use them sparingly.

I was very happy with these. There were a ton that came in the box-and they were in small packages of 50, so the others stay fresh. It was easy for my puppy to transition from his meaty snacks to these.

Dog Training Collar with Shock and Vibration Corrections for Effective Training of 2 Dogs-Featuring

Dog Training Collar with Shock and Vibration Corrections for Effective Training of 2 Dogs-Featuring Shock and Vibration for Individual DogWe were really hesitant about getting "shock collars" for our two dogs but got to the point we felt we had no choice. We live in a rather sprawling subdivision in the country and have always let our Jack Russell Max run out to go and do his business but when the weather is nice he will cruise the neighborhood, chasing squirrels, deer, bunnies and whatever else his little Jack Russell brain tells him to do, much to the agravation of us and our neighbors. Our newly aquired Daschund started copying him and developing her own bad habits of not returning when called. Max also gets worked up in the house sometimes and barks at the door until we let him out, then immediately barks at the door until we let him in.

Anyway, we first put the collar on Max and waited for him to start barking. When he did, a firm "no" followed by a vibrate mode immediately did the trick, he shook his head and stopped barking. We had to do this 2 or 3 times in the first few days but now he doesn't bark at all, if he trys, a simple "no" quiets him right down.

The 2nd step was to get Max to come back in when we called him and his mind was set on chasing rabbits. We let him out and he immediately ran for the hills, chasing something real or imaginary. We called him to no avail and hit the vibrate mode with no response. Didn't want to, but hit the first shock mode (he was at least 250 feet away and running full tilt) and heard a yelp. Yelled at him to come and he came back immediately. Had to do this a few other times when he gets focused, but he mostly goes out, does his business, and comes right back. This is after 7 years of fighting trying to get him to come in.

And the lil weiner is usually good but trys to run a little too. When she doesn't respond usually just a vibrate will turn her right around. One time she took off for the neighbors back yard and we also had to use shock level 1. She yelped but came right back and hasn't gone there since.

So the bottom line is we haven't had to use them much but have had amazing response in behavour from them.

Oh and by the way, they both worked perfectly right out of the box, everything was fully charged, and when they quit working the charger works great.

I would definitely recommend this product. Please do some research of how to train your dogs using the collars and please use restraint with the shocks (and install the rubber boots on the rods) and please don't let little kids or anyone irresponsible in charge of them. If used appropriately they should yield great results.

This collar works great!! We have a very stubborn pit/lab mix and this collar gets his attention without hurting him. He really likes to run off and ignore us, but after a couple vibrates then a shock now all we need to use is vibrate and he comes back. I would not spend hundreds of dollars on a training collar when these work great and are so much cheaper!

We have two dogs with a huge backyard and recently put out lots of plants on the back patio with a nice table and chairs with cushions. Last season our two boys chewed up all of our cushions and ripped out all the plants from their pots so this year we decided to step up and have more firm discipline since they're both young and hard-headed. Thought first to buy an electric fence but when i came across these training collars it struck me that we would be able to train/correct them on command and also be able to use the collars anywhere we went. We ordered dual collars controlled with a single remote. Our order came in and it was instant relief! We've had the collars for about a week now and already we have our two boys staying off the back patio, not to mention we also have stopped them from running up and down the fence line fighting and barking at our neighbors dog all the time. The recievers have a vibrate, mild and intense shock on them and let me tell you....they are effective! Our dogs are pretty big and honery so therefore i have to be fairly firm with them to get their attention but these collars have taken so much of the work off us! They stay charged for about a week and the range is unbelievable. You simply hit the desired button on the remote and it's spot on everytime, no delay! A great buy and an awesome training/correction aid for your pet/pets. You won't be disappointed!!

I ordered this collar thinking it was the same one that "groovy pets" sells(since it says it's by groovy pets) where you can vibrate and shock each dog individually. The reason I thought this was because it says it has TWO modes of vibration and TWO modes of shock in the description and the main picture of the remote shown is the correct remote for these features however, the one I recieved only has one button to vibrate BOTH dogs at the same time and 3 levels of shock. Don't get tricked like me and look at all the pictures.

This dog training collar set for two dogs was a perfect fit for my two busy furry friends. The quality of this product was better than I had expected, and the price was reasonable. The vibration had proven to be the only setting needed. I hesitate to use either shock setting because I put it on my leg to test, and believe me it has a healthy zap.

Vibration Bark Control Collar

Vibration Bark Control CollarCollar definitely got our dog to stop her "hunting" bark, but we are wondering if she will just get used to the vibration.

It says 10 levels of vibration but we can't figure out how to make any adjustment to it. It is enough to break her train of thought (or bark) and we prefer this over a static shock collar.

Easy Walk Harness - Medium, Black

Easy Walk Harness - Medium, BlackThis helped me train my dog to heel off-leash. If you understand how to train your dog, this will be an amazingly helpful tool.

However, I found that the adjustments slip very easily. This caused the front chest strap to fall. If I pulled when it fell, I'd be pulling on my pups legs, making him trip.

You CANNOT use this as an everyday harness. It's not made so you can yank on a dog that is constantly pulling. If you do this, you'll run into the "my dog walks at an angle" problem, and find the straps loosening up all the time.

Also, a warning to people with dogs with deep chests relative to height i.e. Boston Terriers, Frenchies, Doxies, Pits, etc. Your dog won't fit the harness so well. It'll take a lot of adjustment, and you'll never get it the way the picture says you should, so don't even bother.

Let me preface this review by saying that this is not a full time harness. This is simply a training tool that will teach your dog to walk nicely on a leash.

Before trying this type of harness I had tried different types of training methods on my hound mix and different types of collars, yet my dog would just pull until the point of hurting himself. I figured that I had nothing to lose by trying this harness and it seemed more humane than many of the other training methods.

After using this harness for the first time, I saw an immediate difference. Pulling ceased to allow him to move forward it allowed sideways movement which was not his goal of pulling. After about a month of consistently using this on walks his desire to pull had drastically reduced. After 3 months of this collar on walks, his desire to pull was reduced to such a degree that I don't have to use it anymore.

Essentially, this harness is a means to an end. If you use it with training in mind and are firm and consistent with your training, then it works great within a few months. Now, I have him back on a more conventional collar and he doesn't pull anymore.

My young Boston Terrier was a real chore to walk...pulling and tugging on the leash. I have two other dogs, so walking them all each day was hard...until the easy walk harness! I highly recommend this harness!

Our 1yr old Boston is a terrible puller. I had tried a different harness that while comfortable for him (and much better then a regular collar), did absolutely no good with his pulling. With the Easy Walk Harness, there is an immediate halt to the pulling. He still seems to have range of movement, and is comfortable and still enjoying his walks as well. I am thinking of trying this on our Boxer as well!

SportDOG In-Ground Fence System, SDF-100

SportDOG In-Ground Fence System, SDF-100I bought this after having a company come out and quoted a price of $1,583 to install a wireless fence. We have a little over half an acre and there was more than enough included wire to install. I rented a gas edger at Ace for $23 for a couple hours. And used a thin piece of plastic to push the wire in the slot from the edger. I was very leary of doing it myself but didn't want to spend the money having it done. And I'm glad I did because installing this thing was so easy I couldn't believe it.

Now as far as effective it WORKS! Our black lab was very easy to train. In a week of walking her around the yard showing her the flags she figured it out. She is also a lot more laid back in the yard. Instead of chasing birds and rabbits she now sits there and watches them. I recommend this product to everyone. The collar takes regular 9 volt batteries so no special ordering and paying an arm and a leg for them. However I would not use it on a very small dog because the collar is pretty wide and the box isn't as small as others. There are others at Amazon that would be better for a tiny dog.

Everything needed other than the edger was included in the box. Also took about 3-4 hours to install from start to finish.

UPDATE:3-21-08 After having this for nearly a year we are still very happy with it. I was worried it wasn't working because I never have seen the low battery indicator light up on the collar. So I tested it and it is still good. So after 11 months we have not had to replace the 9-volt battery. It also has no interference with our neighbors underground fence either.

They really thought of everything with this one! I love the added vibration feature on the collar as an additional warning to the dog. I've had and used many other systems throughout the various homes I've owned, but this is the most comprehensive system yet.

The collar unit is a bit large, but that's necessary to acccomodate the 9-Volt Battery. Which is great because battery replacement isn't a problem!!!

Buy SportDOG In-Ground Fence System, SDF-100 Now

I did a lot of research before buying this product, and ended up buying this brand for the positive reviews, and good name.

It works, and has made my home more delightful. My dog loves to run in the yard, and was miserable being tied to a run. He is very fast, and before we had this fence would get loose frequently... every time directly into traffic.

The price of this product is reasonable when compared to some of the others on the market, and it seems that you get good value for the cost. It sure beats having to pay an emergency vet bill with the dog finally gets hit or causes an accident.

I have two small complaints about the product, and something I think people should be aware of when buying this product.

First, I find that the fence doesn't give the dog as much warning as I would prefer. You can change the setting to allow the for maximum amount of beeping warning before the dog is shocked, but it significantly cuts down on the "free" area. In my case, if I were to turn the fence to a higher warning level, the dog would not be able to pass between the house and the fence to get from the backyard to the front yard. I personally wish that the dog was given more time to react to the beeping warning before the shock correction.

Second, the training manual in the product didn't work for my morals. In a number of instances it tells you to trick the dog into going out of range while you are training them, sometimes by throwing a treat out of range, and other times by going out of range and calling the dog. I preferred not to have the dog associate the shock with being with me, so after the initial few shocks, and the showing the dog his boundaries, I allowed him to roam for small periods while I observed from my porch. In the few following times that he was shocked, he ran directly for me or the house, and eventually would run for the house when beeped.

It may be different for a less timid dog, however it was something I thought people should think about first.

That all being said I love this product, we are all happy... including the dog :)

PS. do get the power edger, I couldn't imagine doing the instillation without it! we found an attachment for our weed-wacker right at home depot.

Read Best Reviews of SportDOG In-Ground Fence System, SDF-100 Here

This review may be a bit premature because I only finished the fence and started training yesterday, however, I must say that I am extremely pleased with both the product and the results that it has had for our two yellow Labrador retrievers. They have quickly learned what their boundaries are and won't even go near the line of flags outlining their outer limits.

The system is comprehensive in that just about everything is adjustible from the range of the boundary to the level of correction and even the type of correction. I have the collars set on 2, the lowest correction and it's more than enough for our Labs to get the idea that once the collar starts to buzz and beep that a static correction is not far behind.

When they say that the system comes with everything you need, they mean it. It comes with 1000 feet of wire if I ever need to replace my fence I have more than enough line to do the whole perimiter again, about 15,000 sq ft. You don't have to buy the special twisted wire either just twist it up yourself to create an area of cancelled signal.

My hope is not to create a situation where my dogs get shocked I intend to follow the training guide to the letter so that they KNOW their limits and stay well within them, thus allowing them more time to be where they should be anyway without my worrying that they will take off only to get into heaven knows what.

My only regret with this system is that I didn't buy it sooner.

Patrick Gleason

Want SportDOG In-Ground Fence System, SDF-100 Discount?

Installation was not difficult. Using a drill to twist the lines worked really well.

Only one complaint. We have a long, narrow lot with a house close on one side and a fence on the other. The boundary width is adjustable, but at the low (narrowest) settings, the signal seems inconsistent (as in the boundary width is different at different places along the length of the wire.) At first I turned it down to a low setting so that the dog could pass safely from the front yard to the back, but then she could run right through the fence elsewhere without getting a "static correction". When I widened the boundary to keep the dog from running through the fence in those places, she couldn't get by the sides of the house to get to the front yard without getting buzzed. We tried to set it at a compromise level, but never found a workable setting where the boundary was complete but where the dog wouldn't be shocked when she was simply trying to move from front to back.

What we ended up doing was let her be shocked a couple of times so that she would associate the flags and the sound and vibration of the collar, then we turned the shock off (just let the collar vibrate and ring). This has worked well, she does not cross the boundary, and we don't have to worry about her getting shocked when she is standing in her own yard. Bottom line, this may not be the best system if you have a small yard, or one that has an unusual or narrow shape. I'm sure it would be much better on a square quarter acre or larger.

2" Thick Dog Crate Mat

2' Thick Dog Crate Mat, Green, LargeThis would be an excellent choice for a dog that did not make it a habit of chewing up her crate pads. She has already destroyed 2 crate pads, and when I realized that the top of this pad was made of a plush fabric, I knew I would have to return it. Missy loves plush fabric. The service from the vendor was excellent, and the price was right on. If there is any fault here, it is likely mine. I hadn't had Missy long enough to realize the extent of her chewing habits. I have never had a dog that chewed the way this one does. If not for the chewing factor, this is the pad I would recommend for both comfort and quality.

I got two mats for my dogs. My ten year old Pug loves to lay in his crate, but he often seems uncomfortable. After getting him a mat, he has been laying in his crate more comfortably and is very happy. I was concerned that the one year old Japanese Chin that I have would destroy the mats like he did the other dog's bed, but he has not attempted to rip out the stuffing. Overall, I am pleased with the comfort, style, and functionality that these mats provide.

Canine Equipment Technika 3/4-Inch Martingale Dog Collar, 10 to 16-Inch, Small, Black

Canine Equipment Technika 3/4-Inch Martingale Dog Collar, 10 to 16-Inch, Small, BlackI wanted a limited slip collar for walks so my dog couldn't wiggle out of it and would be a little more manageable on walks. I've tried harnesses and gentle leaders, but they simply encouraged him to pull at the leash. Not only was a martingale a perfect solution for me and my dog (and that's a decision only you can make), but this particular one is very well designed. Eight months later the nylon still looks like new, and the chain moves very easily, ensuring that it never gets stuck and my dog never has pressure on his neck for too long.

Ware Plastic Scatterless Lock-N-Litter Bigger Pet Pan, Jumbo, Colors May Vary

Ware Plastic Scatterless Lock-N-Litter Bigger Pet Pan, Jumbo, Colors May VaryWe've had house rabbits for the last 4 years, and it was a pain to clean the cage and litter box until we stumbled across this little gem of a litter pan. Most rabbit litter pans don't include the grate, and that's the big secret with this one. It's got a nice little locking mechanism that keeps the grate on. The grate works so well because when the rabbits sit on the litter they scatter it around the cage thus making tons of mess all over the place, but since this has the grate on it they can't do that. Simple and easy, plus it's plastic and lasts through many months before needing to be replaced (mostly because it just gets gross rather than falling apart or anything). I won't buy any other litter box now.

this is the best litter pan to keep my bunnies clean and dry and healthy. i use paper towels under the plastic coated wires and only have to change it once a week;dont wash with harsh soap so bunnies can pick up their scent and know where to eliminate again.

I originally couldn't install this litter box in my hutch since the upstairs walls are wood. (My bunny chose upstairs as the bathroom so I had to do something to secure it inside. If you take the knobs off the cage clamps, using the threaded end, you can mark and make holes through the wood to stick the clamps through and still secure through a wooden wall. The jumbo size is really big for a cage but it still fits. Anything small would have been too small for my bunny. (I have a mini-lop mix.) Go for the jumbo size, the smaller sizes would probably only be good for guinea pigs or small dwarfs. Any normal sized or large bunnies would just be too big for these.
