We have a Border Collie and the Gentle Leader stopped his pulling. My only problem with the Gentle Leader is the figure 8 shaped clasp breaks after about 6 months. We have bought two Gentle Leaders because of this defect.

My puppy took a day or two to get use to the change from paper pads to these cloth pads, but afterwards he did not mind the change at all and used these the same. I highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for an eco friendly alternative while potty training their dogs.

These were larger than I thought. Looked much nicer than the disposable ones that I have been using. Also puppy could not tear them into tiny pieces for me to pick up constantly. He still pulled them around the room. I am going to put some velco strips on back to help keep them in place.

Found these at a local discount store (much better priced there; half the cost!) and absolutely love them. Way better for the environment than disposables, not to mention safer for the pups (2 yorkies) as they can tear apart disposables and ingest them. (They also look much nicer than having a white paper pad w/ pee marks all over it) Have even gone to other stores, just to see if I can find more of them. They wash up well just remember NO fabric softener. We've been using them for about two months and still look great. I'd highly recommend them. Also, the size 24x24 is just right for us, as it's works well for two small dogs (we change them daily) and fits perfectly at the end of the dog crate/run. (BTW I do keep an old towel underneath it to protect the hardwood floors not b/c they leak, but because on occasion the dogs like to "go" right on the edge of the pad.)

This is an excellent product, you still need to use the disposable pee pads, but overall this was a good product. Holds the pee well, washes up good, the puppies use it and it has proven itself to be a good product if you have puppies.

We first heard about these treats while in Estes Park, Co on vacation. We purchased them for our Golden Retriever and Lab who absolutely loved them and begged for more. I have been very satisfied with this shock collar. There are various settings to enable the trainer to begin with the most gentle way to get the dogs attention . If this doesn't work then there are more settings. I found that the tone and vibrate settings didn't work on my dog and I had to proceed to the shock mode.

The collar seems to be fairly well made. The remote has been dropped and even left outside and still works perfectly. The only drawback is that it cuts itself off after 2 minutes which at times is not on when I need it.

the collars work very well. I was hesitant because they were so inexpensive, but they do a fantastic job. the batteries in the remote work for a long time, but the batteries in the actual collar those need to be changed often.

I have successfully used this product to walk three dogs ranging in size from 32 to 125 pounds, although it barely stretches around the larger one's neck. I generally only use it with one dog who likes to pretend a walk is a squirrel hunt, especially when he has his pack with him. A couple reminders with the tone usually gets him focusing on his real job, making sure I get a challenging workout without a lot of pulling. I think part of the success of this collar is that it reminds him of the tone of the hated electric fence collar.

The only problem I've had is losing the transmitter. I like to clip it to my belt because I don't have to always actually use it once I show it to my squirrel hunter dog. However, I can't count how many times I've had to retrace my walk to look for the transmitter because it fell off, no matter where I hooked. The last time I lost it, it was on a seven mile walk and although I retraced my path several times of the next week, I couldn't find it. Meanwhile, the walking behavior of the squirrel hunter was degrading quickly from great walking partner to all pull all the time.

I contacted the seller to buy a replacement transmitter and learned they were not available. The seller did offer to send an entire replacement set if I returned the collars. The seller sent me a mailing label and when the seller received my original collars, sent out the replacement set.

I can't imagine a more acceptable resolution to this problem, although I wish they would redesign the transmitter so that it wouldn't fall off when we are walking rapidly.

I have added a tether to the transmitter and tie that to my belt. I recommend this remedy to anybody purchasing the collars. I have no complaints with the electronic aspects of the collars. Keep fresh batteries in them, don't drop them and they work well.

I purchased a much more expensive unit from Petsafe that didn't continue to work as long, although the transmitter never fell off my belt.

I have to tell you, the performance of Lentek's Super Bark Free really surprised me. In a GOOD way!

Our neighborhood has a bunch of constantly-barking dogs. This drives me crazy as I work from home. I've called the police, who were useless and referred us to the Humane Society. Who was also useless. They said they'd send a letter or something. Regardless, nothing changed.

The most annoying dog BY FAR is our neighbor's behind our back yard directly facing our bedroom. There is a chain link fence and their house's wooden single wall between us and the dog 25' away. It's one of those annoying yappy dogs like a miniature pinscher or chihuahua mix. You know, that kind of shrill shrieky high-pitched yap that makes your skin crawl. This dog grated on our nerves all day and night long!

Out of desperation, I gambled on this device and I made sure I bought it from Amazon so that I'd be able to return it hassle-free when it proved useless. NNNOOO!!! Within an hour, that damn dog was silent. From then on, only SHORT bark episodes would escape that frigging dog before it shut up again. This dog would literally bark ALL day and ALL night (YES, at 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am, etc.)! We have had MANY sleepless nights because of this damn dog! Now it's more or less quiet!

My girlfriend works for an eccentric rich woman with SEVEN spoiled-rotten totally undisciplined papillons at her home. Yes, another small shrieky yappy breed. These dogs are neurotic and bark, ALL OF THEM, at EVERYTHING! She was ready to quit but decided to take the device to work. MUCH to her surprise, the dogs shut up immediately! They all stare at the device confused and whimper a bit but they shut up after one or two barks initially, then they think twice before barking. Now, the device is specifically labeled "for outdoor use only," but whatever. Those stupid yappers are quiet now.

This thing turned out to be a great investment! We got it almost 2 months ago and put rechargeable batteries in it and have recharged them once just to make sure it would not die on us. It appears that a single charge should last at least 2 months. It is well worth the price if you are simply going crazy from barking dogs.

My gripes about this product are that the other dogs nearby aren't affected by the unit. They are about 100' away. I WISH this unit had a longer range/higher sensitivity. Another thing it could use is a visual alert indicating when it's been activated and not just powered on. Preferably a rotatable visual indicator so the user can tell when the unit is sending its inaudible signal. Also, its audible mode is REALLY annoying. This may be designed to intensely upset the offending dog's owner into quieting that damn dog down. But the user will have to hear it also and it's worse than the dog barking. A simple single beep option to indicate that the unit has been tripped would be VERY nice.

I got this about six months ago to quiet my own dog before somebody decided to do something mean to her.

It worked. Shut her up right away. She was confused and irritated when she barked. That lasted for several days.

Then it rained.

This thing hasn't worked the same since. YES, the waterproof lid was on and screwed into place on the top of the unit, but the poor quality design allowed water to pool into that control panel and down into the circuitry of the unit. I woke to the shrill pitch of this device and had to get the batteries out to shut it off. (WHY ON TOP, LENTEK? WHY NOT ON THE SIDE?) Anyhow, this is useless to me now... I tried using it in a window for a while, but any noise we made in the house set it off.

If you want this, buy a waterproof box to house it in.

The neighbor's dog has been driving us crazy for years...it was so bad we almost sold our house to get away. The neighbor seemed powerless to keep the dog from barking when they weren't home...which he would do for hours and hours on end. I set up this gadget in a tree at the edge of our yard, pointed it at the place where the dog usually stands and barks all day long, turned it on, and waited expectantly. I have been using the product for about a month and definitely recommend it. The amount of overall barking has been cut down by 80-90% (see below). Our neighbor's dog would bark for 1/2 hour non-stop several times a day to be let in the house and our lazy/uncaring neighbor would just let the dog bark away. This unit cut down on this type of barking by 95%.

There are a bunch of caveats to be aware of: 1)My unit is 20 feet from the dog pointed directly at him with no obstructions, 2)the sensitivity is set almost at the maximum and to one bark so the unit does go off randomly 5-10 times a day (completely inaudible to humans on the ultrasonic setting but it may interfere with the Pavlov training intent of the product) and 3)this will not completely silence the nusiance dog (he will still bark when other dogs pass by, at squirrels, etc. which is perfectly acceptable to us as this is reasonable barking).

The company had a reasonable return policy if the unit did not work as intended. I gave it 4 stars because they really should include the AC plug with the unit. In addition to buying this unit, I also recommend looking up your local town ordinances, there will most likely be a law against "nusiance" dogs.

Not perfect, but reduces barking enough that I've ordered a second Super Bark Free.

Pros:

My neighbor's three dogs bark at all hours. Fortunately for me, the physical layout is ideal for the Super Bark Free. I can hit them at almost point blank range, within 10 feet or less.

When activated due to boredom barking, the dogs react visibly when the Super Bark Free activates. They often seem to suddenly remember urgent business elsewhere.

They still bark when they think they have ample reason, for instance at the mailman, who passes them separated by only inches of distance (and a chain link fence). But even then they bark less.

The dogs no longer bark at me when I am sitting in my own back yard, which previously they considered to be a very offense activity. This greatly enhances the enjoyment of my property and makes the Super Bark Free worth every penny.

I have the unit set to two barks activation, with the sound sensitivity slider set to the middle of the slider dial. Otherwise, you risk the dogs getting used to the annoying (to them) ultra sonic sound and ignoring it.

The unit feels solid and well built, and except for the cap over the controls, the plastic is thick and good quality.

Cons:

Does not stop barking 100%. In my case I'd estimate an 80 to 90% reduction.

Based on other reviews, it is not rain proof. I bring mine in when rain is forecast. I intend to build a bird house type of enclosure to protect it from rain.

Does not come with AC adapter. The packaging says to check the Koolatron.com website to buy one, but they seem to have stopped carrying the adapter for the Super Bark Free. Leaving customers with 4 "D" Cell battery operation only.

The device calls for a 6 Volt 200mA adapter. Good luck finding one that matches voltage, amperage and has the correctly sized connector. I found an approximate match with a Nokia cell phone charger at Wall-Mart, but it will require an adapter or a rewire to get the correct size connector.

Batteries are VERY hard to insert.

The cap over the controls on the top of the unit has to be turned clockwise to remove and counter clockwise to tighten. Reverse threads with no good reason are stupid, stupid, stupid.

The Super Bark Free does not detect barks. It only detects sounds. So if you set the sensitivity too high it will false alarm due to wind noise, birds, car doors closing, etc. The dogs will get used to the sound, and will not associate it with a reason not to bark.

Really nice. It seems to be made really well. Gives good control for a Belgian Shepherd, tho he is really tame anyway. PetSafe In-Ground Deluxe Ultralight Collar with Radio Receiver, PUL-275

The features of the collar work well. I bought it to replace a Petsafe ProLite collar that failed after many years of service. The only issue is finding replacement RFA-67 batteries that are fully charged. The old collar used standard cell batteries, but this collar requires the RFA-67, which uses a Petsafe proprietary from factor. I've tried buying replacements from several stores and found that the low battery indicator will light up immediately or a few days after installing the replacement battery. There seems to be an issue with the shelf life of the replacement batteries. However, I found that several vendors are selling RFA-67 adapters that allow you to use normal CR2032 cell batteries with the collar.

UPDATE: After using a battery adapter and trying several brands of cell batteries, it looks like the problem is with the collar, not the batteries. Batteries do not last more than a few weeks. Since I will most likely replace the collar due to this issue, I'm changing my review to 2 stars.

My 2 dogs have used the invisible inground fence for years without a problem (old collars). When my friends 3 dogs moved in, I bought 3 RSC UL-275BM collars. The first collar's battery failed immediately and I returned the collar. The batteries in the other 2 collars failed within 3 months outside the Amazon return period. The collar indicates battery failure via a blinking light. I contacted petsafe who advised to reset the unit by removing the battery and draining the capacitor. Did not work. Old collars work well. I have not located any info on battery failures on these units but 3 failures is not acceptable.

My kids left the old collar on the grass and it was mutilated by the lawnmower. So I ordered this new one, and price and service were excellent.

For those considering an in-ground radio fence, these things are great. I have a border collie that was digging under a 6' privacy fence, so I put up an above ground electric fence to stop the digging. He got shocked once, ran around to the other side of the yard, and jumped the 6' fence. After that, he knew he could clear the fence, and would get out frequently. We knew when he would get out because our female dog would yelp and endure the pain of the electric fence while she dug to get out with him. Finding them was another matter. Soon after I moved to a house with a three rail fence, and rather than put mesh up that I knew would do no good, I tried one of these in ground radio fences. As long as the fence is working and the battery is charged, my dogs have never gotten out. It is very humane, as the fence beeps prior to a shock, so after the initial training period, my dogs have only been shocked maybe once or twice, and then they understood the boundary. My female dog would run her battery out rather quick because she would always run around in the beep zone. I started using this 7 years ago, my female died and my 12 year old bought him a Brittany (very high energy)one year ago, and she trained quick and understood the whole fence thing with minimal training when we brought her home at 10 weeks.

I was worried that the 5 different correction levels would not be enough for my stubborn dog. However by level 4 he got the point and we had him trained in 1 1/2 weeks. I am also impressed with how small the device is (since my dog is only 40 pounds) it's nice that it doesn't weigh him down like the typical receiver collars. My dog also swims in our stream constantly and the collar has proved to be very waterproof. The seller shipped the item promptly. I am very pleased with this purchase and have now purchased 2 (I ahve 2 dogs). :)

We trial 3 dogs in agility (a 40 pound beagle mix, a 50 pound Aussie, and a 70 pound Red Tick Coonhound). All 3 dogs fit very well in this pen. It has more space than a traditional XPen. Caution: If your dog is a digger, this is not for you. It could roll easily.

The zippers are not terrific quality. I have a feeling they'll give out soon, at which time I will probably need to come up with a Velcro solution. That's really my only complaint about this product.

I own 2 SPORTDOG products (SD 400 and SPORTHUNTER 1200). I bought this brand because of their lifetime parts warranty. What I didn't realize is that they require the customer to return the unit for repair no matter how trivial the failure. Then they assess the minimum service charge (not less than $25.00) for parts costing less than $1.00 which the customer could easily replace themselves. They do offer to sell the parts to the customer at an exorbitant price if one would rather not return the unit for repair. This is very frustrating and disappointing. Don't put your trust in their warranty as I did.

I tried this on my Siberian Husky, he can be a very stubborn dog at times and has a high tolerance for pain. I set it on one and he didn't even flinch, I adjusted it to two and he reacted to that and followed my commands right away. I wouldn't imagine you would ever have to turn this all the way up for any dog, but it works great!

A little history on me. I have worked with dogs for many years and am very comfortable doing basic obedience training with them. Actually, I love it and think it's the best bonding time with a dog and establishing pack order. The dog is kept busy...thinking...building trust in your relationship together and everyone is so much better in the end for that time spent.

WHY I PURCHASED AN ECOLLAR

I have traditionally felt that eCollars are bad and can seem abusive. So, this is the first time in my years of working with dogs that I actually gave it a try because I felt it is best to speak from experience and not ignorance on any topic. I have been working with two Beagles and what a great breed...totally hound dogs and their noses lead them everywhere. They can be very stubborn at times, but very loving in general.

I purchased the SD-400S primarily because I wanted a black collar and not a bright orange one..although I was a bit concerned about the higher stimulation level. I figured I could just keep it set very low.

Doing the traditional training I've always done, I've never really had a dog offleash except for in the enclosed park areas and other similarly very controlled confines. Normally, we go on very long walks all over the place and in new environments, but always on leash. I've always wanted to be comfortable having a dog offleash(in the right environment) and feel it's so much free-er for the pup. Some breeds need that more than others.

Wow! So amazing... Truly it was like opening a door...or getting to the 'next level' with training together. TOTALLY does not break his spirit. *HOWEVER*, it is so very important that the handler show restraint and use the tool properly...which the very excellent booklet that comes with the device reinforces over and over(btw, the authors are totally Pavlov'ing us...lol). The intent is to set at the lowest possible level that the dog can feel and when used that way, it's simply like a small leash tug...but at 400 yards! Amazing. The fault with any failed training or 'bad dog' is always with the humans, in my opinion. And over-stimulating or setting too high, or TRYING TO USE THIS IN PLACE OF Basic obedience training...will surely cause problems and fail in the end. Remove emotions..focus on the dogs needs and responses and you'll both be so happy using this together.

The product is great. I have 4 small dogs that do NOT go walking in heat, do not like rain, do not like wind, so I often have issues. I used "wee wee pads" and generic ones for ages. They had to be cleaned daily and were rather nasty looking. My condo is done in an "Asiatic" motif so they fit in nicely. I loved them BUT they hold TOO MUCH urine and feces. The fact is that while I loved them, after a few weeks I had to call and ask how to remedy the situation. They are a better alternative to wee wee pads in an aesthetic way, BUT not in a functional way. I have hosed them, used vinegar, (which repels the dogs) used fabreze (same issue) name it I have tried.

In general I like them and the company is much more honest than their AKC backed "puppy potty" but the fact is I can drench the grass and barely any water even gets into the tray. This means a whole lot of urine is getting trapped. I finally hosed them off outside today and experienced SOME relief but I still smell that odor.

If you have a patio you intend to use them on, I recommend them. I also would recommend you contact the company if you have an area you want to cover, they make "fake turf" so it is perfect. But for indoor use unless you have well trained dogs that will go to a basement or unused area, it is smelly and I have yet to remedy this. That said, it does look much better than the pads.

I live in an upstairs apartment so this made life so much easier. My dogs took right to it and seem to enjoy the synthetic grass. And it's easy to clean.

I live on the 3rd flr of an apt and this works great! Put it on the balcony and the pup uses the puppy potty in the middle of the night instead of us going all the way down stairs. Really helped us train her.....she knows to go to the door to go out and we only have had her for a month, she is 4 month old. Only issue is having to clean it every week so it doesnt smell.

I use this for my 30 lb soft-coated wheaten terrier. It's simply a convenience for Toby. The synthetic grass is outside on my porch.

Have had this product now for a year. I finally got around to giving the grass a major restoration. I simply immersed it in the sink using 1 gallon vinegar mixed w/one gallon water for several hours. Miraculously, all the urine smell has been neutralized. I put my nose right up to the grass and couldn't smell anything. I now plan on doing this once a month. I purchased the puppy potty because I was tired of looking at the "white" pads and the expense! I have a 12 pound Shih Tzu that has been housebroke to use the pads and go outside. She does not like to go out when it is raining and this is a wonderful alternative. Also, my husband and I work and do not worry about hurrying home to let her out.

The puppy potty arrived very quickly. I was impressed with the size because when using the white pads I always used two, side by side. My dog didn't know what to think of it at first. So, I placed a soiled white pad, on top of the grass for the scent. Once she used it, I then placed it underneath the grass pad. She started using it right away!

I was a little leary about purchasing this item due to those reviews about the smell. I wash the pad every couple of days, with mild soap, rinse it well and have had no odor problem! I would highly recommend this because it is an awesome product, and you gotta love the price!

I have tried several methods methods to break this bad habit and nothing has worked. I have 3 dogs that are house dogs. They only go outside to play for a while or to go to the bathroom. I would clean up the feces at least once to twice a day, but one of the dogs would still go and eat whatever was still out there before I could get to it. I even tried the pineapple in their food that so many people would swear works. It did not work for us. I bought this with little hope of it working, but I thought what did I have to lose...IT WORKS!!!! All I can say is wow!! The one dog goes no where near it now. Only bad part is since I have 3 dogs, I have to give the pills to all three of them. I bought a pill grinder and I just crush them into a powder and sprinkle it on their food. Works like a charm. I have 2 small dogs and one medium size dog, so I go through 8 pills a day, so I will go through 2 bottles a month. If it works though, I guess it is worth it.

We've had house rabbits for the last 4 years, and it was a pain to clean the cage and litter box until we stumbled across this little gem of a litter pan. Most rabbit litter pans don't include the grate, and that's the big secret with this one. It's got a nice little locking mechanism that keeps the grate on. The grate works so well because when the rabbits sit on the litter they scatter it around the cage thus making tons of mess all over the place, but since this has the grate on it they can't do that. Simple and easy, plus it's plastic and lasts through many months before needing to be replaced (mostly because it just gets gross rather than falling apart or anything). I won't buy any other litter box now.

I originally couldn't install this litter box in my hutch since the upstairs walls are wood. (My bunny chose upstairs as the bathroom so I had to do something to secure it inside. If you take the knobs off the cage clamps, using the threaded end, you can mark and make holes through the wood to stick the clamps through and still secure through a wooden wall. The jumbo size is really big for a cage but it still fits. Anything small would have been too small for my bunny. (I have a mini-lop mix.) Go for the jumbo size, the smaller sizes would probably only be good for guinea pigs or small dwarfs. Any normal sized or large bunnies would just be too big for these.

This Jumbo Pet Pan was so much better than I expected. I thought it wouldn't even fit in the cage I got for my bunnies but when I received Living World X-Large Deluxe cage I realized it was perfect.
