New Great 2 Level Remote Control Dog Training Collar Vibration and Whistle

I bought this vibration collar for my older dog, Ellie, because she is losing her hearing; I wanted her to continue to be able to run off leash in safe areas but have a way to communicate with her. There are so many collars on the market, many of which include shock settings and I didn't want those. This collar is vibration and tone, and the settings on the collar are very effective. Ellie still has some hearing and responds to the tone, and there are 2 levels of vibration, neither of which startled her when she first felt them, so they are set at appropriate levels. I had some trouble with the first collar but the company was very easy to deal with and quickly sent a replacement, which has been working really well. The only complaint I have is that the batteries that come with the collar do not last very long; fortunately, the store-bought batteries I replaced them with have lasted quite awhile. Also, it's not in the instructions, but be sure that when you first put in the batteries and test the collar, start with the top button on the remote (vibration) and work your way down. Apparently that is the order you are supposed to test in (according to what the company told me when they sent the replacement) but it's not on the instruction sheet that comes with the collar. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and the company and am glad to be able to allow Ellie the continued freedom to run.

This item worked great for my Mini Schnauzer he has an agressive behavior problem and would attack the gate or the door whenever anyone came over or walked in and out of the bathroom. now he is more calm submissive however he still has his moments where I have to remind him of his unacceptable behavior. the remote and collare have a bit of a problem with the battery connection but if you wiggle them a little and get them in place they work great. I'm going to get another for my female mini to keep her from barking so much and being a little agressive toward a older blind mini schnauzer I have.

Ok, it is a bit pricey but it's well worth it. Used for a German Shepherd that had already broken a nylon and a chain leash. Sturdy and nice looking too.

This leash is very nice but not quite as outstanding as I was expecting at this price point. There are a couple of places in the leather that seem wrinkled and weak. The rivets are not centered which I don't think affects funtion but does look look sloppy. What bothers me the most is the constant leather shedding and peeling of the unfinished underside. On the positive side, the leather is soft and supple.

If this leash were under $30, I'd consider it a good value. At $45, I'm underwhelmed.

This halter is GREAT as a training aid. It keeps the dog from pulling. This helps you get its attention so you can teach it to walk properly (walk or heel) with you. I also like to use it when I am walking my dogs using a retractable leash because the ring extends over the back and lessens the occurence of "leash between legs".

I have used these halters for nine years on both my dogs (a long haired Belgian shepherd and short-haired pit bull) and have never once had a problem with them. At first, we thought this harness was great. Our dog who usually pulls like a mack-truck slowed-down quite a bit due to the restraints that went under her front legs. However... when we took her on a short hike, we realized later--to our dismay--that it would pulled her hair and created sores under her arms and where the straps pulled through the ring at the top of the harness. She now is still recovering two weeks later with 4 huge scabs where the harness rubbed her. Ps--it has nothing to do with the size adjustment on the harness.

I am a dog trainer and this is a great alternative for those dogs that need a mild "redirect" that a prong collar cannot give but are too sensitive for an actual shock collar. It has 6 settings for a nice gradual point to work with the dog.

This pet trainer was purchased for my mom's dog. We expected this to be a more humane way to train the dog than a shock collar. However the device we purchased was not effective at all. The dog didn't even notice the vibration from the unit and it did nothing to stop him when we tried to get his attention. I would like to also note that the battery on the unit was poor and barely lasted more than a half hour while in standby.

This collar just doesn't do what it claims to do. I have years of positive dog training and bought this to get my senior "hard of hearing" dog's attention when out on walks. I tried the collar in the house, and put my years of training to work. Sadly it just doesn't do as it claims. Following manufacturer's recommended use and instructions, this product does not vibrate enough for my dog to even notice it, and that is when the collar is set to the highest setting of 13. So I tried it on my thigh and even at the highest setting (13) it was hardly noticeable for me. My old cell phone has a stronger vibration.

My Mutt Dewey, destroys toys. He loves balls but can rip apart a tennis ball in less than a minute. this is a bigger ball but he still can carry it around in his mouth. This has become his favorite toy. Even when I don't put treats in it he loves to play fetch with it. I break med. milkbones in half and it takes him longer to get them out than smaller treats. This would also be great for a dog that eats to quickly. I put his food in it alot. I bought him the Starmark bob-a-lot treat dispenser first and aside from it being really loud (it's made of hard plastic) he chewed the top of it off in no time. so there went 24.00 bucks down the drain. The JW ball is made of rubber and is still completely intact. I have had it over 6 months now. I highly recommend this ball to everyone especially to people who have very destructive chewers!

After reading the reviews, I thought this may help to curb my Doberman puppy's need to chew and steal everything in sight. My puppy is food driven, but this ball does not hold his attention for longer than 10 minutes at a time. My older Doberman has zero interest in it. I believe that it will only hold the attention of high energy,and highly food driven dogs. If your dog becomes bored quickly, and seems to have some sort of doggy ADD, then this ball will likely not hold his attention either. However, it arrived quickly and in new condition as described by the seller. Note that it does take a few minutes to load food into the ball because of the small opening.

I have a 1 year old APBT and he would chew up other toys like they were nothing. I've tried the ever-lasting treat ball thing, he ate that. Those tire toys? He ate those. Mostly any toy he would destroy in seconds. But this is one of the few things he's not managed to sink his chompers through! Plus, its a good way to keep him occupied and having fun. I would just say not to make the treats TOO small or they'll fall out too easily. I either put his dry food in there or break up a few Milkbones or cut up some Puperoni and then he's a happy doggie :)

Our 6-month old lab/hound mutt is a very strong chewer and very much food driven. Got the large ball and I put a variety of treat sizes in the ball, the biggest one is one of those 2-inch bone biscuits. The fact that the smaller ones come out keeps him interested in the ball and the bigger treat inside which takes some throwing around to dislodge. Because it bounces, there is something else he gets excited about. Plus, no matter how much he chews on the ball, no parts come off like other toys with "appendages". The size is ideal so he is not in danger of swallowing the whole ball (I fear this for tennis balls). By the time he's done with the ball, he's so tired he goes right to sleep. This long-lasting treat dispenser is definitely great value! Can't say enough about how happy I am that I got this!

This item smells absolutely TERRIBLE. I opened it and sprayed a wee-wee pad with it and my whole house reaked like a zoo. The product smells aweful, even if sprayed outside. It was completely useless to me.

My puppy wasn't potty trained when I got him so I got this Wee-wee housebreaking aid spray along with training pads. It worked very well. It did attract my puppy to the training pad. However, my home stunk so bad, I couldn't take it. I bought the Out! spray that didn't stink, but my puppy could barely smell it. I ended up just doing closer supervision to train him to use his training pads. When he was starting to smell the floor and go in circles, I lure him to the training pad. Thankfully after about a week, he learned where to go even without any attractant spray or me telling him where to go.

I bought the 1oz drops from my local pet supermarket for roughly $8. Before the drops, my shelter dog refused to go outside and used the wee wee pads about 10-20% of the time. I put the drops on each pad and she went on them within a few hours! The neighbor's dog also started uaing the pads after the deops were used. They do smell awful, but it is a tradeoff I'm willing to accept. 2 days later and she is finally making the connection between peeing on the pads and lots of praise/treats. I can't wait to see if she will pee outside if I put the drops there!!! Update to follow;)

I guess I'm the deciding vote between the other 2 reviews. This product stinks! If you've ever driven by a farm in humid hot weather, you know what this smells like.

Furthermore, I don't think it did anything for my puppy.

For the price, I say, test it out because I think it's more case by case basis.

These did not work for us at all. The collar batteries dies so fast, even on the collar that wasn't used much. They're not cheap batteries either. I had a 2 dog set before this, and it used AAA in the collar and the expensive ones in the remote. That was so much better. I don't recommend this set of shock collars at all.

Murphy is a 14 1/2 year old Old English Sheepdog with Kidney issues and arthritis. With his piddling with no control even with constant trips outside, I was beside myself with carpet cleaning every day. I bought these pads primarily because of the many very positive reviews and I have been disappointed. I have tried many brands of pads for my small dog (6 lb) and this one is thin, and frequently leaks right through the middle of the pad. Will not buy again.

Update:1/22/2013

After going through all 100 pads, I have to say that this one is okay, not awful like the first 20 or so I used. Usually the urine does not soak through the middle of the pad. However, if the dog goes near the edge, the urine will run off the pad and onto the floor. At a price of $44 per 100 pads I would expect more absorbency and better edges.

I buy these for my Shih Tzu ..she is pad trained for indoors. One box of 100ct. last me months. I first ran out to the pet store & bought a pack of pee pads, did not work very thin & would stink. I went to costco & found the abzorbs & it's all i bought for 3 streight years .. I now purchase them through amazon due to it is hit or miss finding them at Costco. They are the best absorbent & hold alot without smell. I put 2 pads down and change them every 4th day .. changing them of course will depend on size of dog. You can never go wrong with this brand & it locks in the urine , has never leaked onto my tile flooring. Amazon & costco are the same price , Amazon is the way to go for the purchase due sometimes hard to find in the stores or very pricy for this 100ct. package at pet stores.Hope this review has helped.

PetSafe In-Ground Deluxe Ultralight Collar with Radio Receiver, PUL-275

The features of the collar work well. I bought it to replace a Petsafe ProLite collar that failed after many years of service. The only issue is finding replacement RFA-67 batteries that are fully charged. The old collar used standard cell batteries, but this collar requires the RFA-67, which uses a Petsafe proprietary from factor. I've tried buying replacements from several stores and found that the low battery indicator will light up immediately or a few days after installing the replacement battery. There seems to be an issue with the shelf life of the replacement batteries. However, I found that several vendors are selling RFA-67 adapters that allow you to use normal CR2032 cell batteries with the collar.

UPDATE: After using a battery adapter and trying several brands of cell batteries, it looks like the problem is with the collar, not the batteries. Batteries do not last more than a few weeks. Since I will most likely replace the collar due to this issue, I'm changing my review to 2 stars.

My 2 dogs have used the invisible inground fence for years without a problem (old collars). When my friends 3 dogs moved in, I bought 3 RSC UL-275BM collars. The first collar's battery failed immediately and I returned the collar. The batteries in the other 2 collars failed within 3 months outside the Amazon return period. The collar indicates battery failure via a blinking light. I contacted petsafe who advised to reset the unit by removing the battery and draining the capacitor. Did not work. Old collars work well. I have not located any info on battery failures on these units but 3 failures is not acceptable.

My kids left the old collar on the grass and it was mutilated by the lawnmower. So I ordered this new one, and price and service were excellent.

For those considering an in-ground radio fence, these things are great. I have a border collie that was digging under a 6' privacy fence, so I put up an above ground electric fence to stop the digging. He got shocked once, ran around to the other side of the yard, and jumped the 6' fence. After that, he knew he could clear the fence, and would get out frequently. We knew when he would get out because our female dog would yelp and endure the pain of the electric fence while she dug to get out with him. Finding them was another matter. Soon after I moved to a house with a three rail fence, and rather than put mesh up that I knew would do no good, I tried one of these in ground radio fences. As long as the fence is working and the battery is charged, my dogs have never gotten out. It is very humane, as the fence beeps prior to a shock, so after the initial training period, my dogs have only been shocked maybe once or twice, and then they understood the boundary. My female dog would run her battery out rather quick because she would always run around in the beep zone. I started using this 7 years ago, my female died and my 12 year old bought him a Brittany (very high energy)one year ago, and she trained quick and understood the whole fence thing with minimal training when we brought her home at 10 weeks.

I was worried that the 5 different correction levels would not be enough for my stubborn dog. However by level 4 he got the point and we had him trained in 1 1/2 weeks. I am also impressed with how small the device is (since my dog is only 40 pounds) it's nice that it doesn't weigh him down like the typical receiver collars. My dog also swims in our stream constantly and the collar has proved to be very waterproof. The seller shipped the item promptly. I am very pleased with this purchase and have now purchased 2 (I ahve 2 dogs). :)

Wee-Wee Housebreaking Pads for Little Dogs

These pads are small, and I did want something smaller than the 24x24 I had. But the puppy is only 10 weeks old and he can 'fill' a pad because it spreads out instead of the 'gel' absorbing of my other pads. When I pick up the pad after only 1 use, the floor under seems a little damp. He's only 3 lbs!

we used these and then got cheap and bought bulk medical ones and those barely absorbed 1 pee from our dog (12lbs) while these can absorb 2-3 pees. We have a wiz dog wee wee pad holder that is basically a tray with a grate on top so that the dog doesn't walk in the pee and it allows the pad to be used more than once. Save your UPC codes from the package and when you get to 10 you can mail them in for a rebate. These are great for when we leave the dog at home alone, or travel with him. Plus, they fit perfectly in the wiz dog (they're the right dimensions).

This is a very beautiful collar. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is that most slip collars are flexible enough to easily draw the chain, or leather through it to make it a slip collar. This chain is not flexible. It does not arrive as shown in the picture with the slip already to go. you must bend the chain forceably to slip the chain through to make the slip knot. Some people will not be able to do this. It will withstand the bending to do this, even though it does not seem as if it will, but don't be afraid. The chain is made very well, and will withstand the rigger it takes to assemble it properly.

Once assembled it is a really great chain! Substantial enough to hold your dog, yet light enough to not bother the dog as he wears it around the house.

And it really is pretty, without being froo froo. A handsome piece of functional jewelry for your male or female dog. Also this seller is the cheapest for this product, and it did arrive quickly.

One inch sounded long when I ordered these but my Golden Retriever doesn't seem to have any problem with them at all. I generally remove the collar after walks, but it has been left on during the day at times. No irritation problem.

I have a German shepard. I tried these because the normal points would not go through his fur. The long points made the collar stick out far and flop a bit. Making it tighter seemed like it would really hurt the dog. If your dog has very long and thick fur these might work better. I recommend useing the shorter points and just trimming the dogs fur in that area. It gives the collar a more snug fit without causing pain.

I am taking my dog to Europe and was told I needed to bring a muzzle for him. He is a 7 pound chihuahua mix. I went to various pet stores and couldn't find a muzzle small enough for him. I finally went to a local pet groomer and asked if they had a muzzle that would fit him. They brought out this one in a size 0 and although he didn't like it, it did fit. I found it on Amazon and ordered it. It was nice not to have to guess at a size and have to keep returning them. This muzzle seems relatively comfortable although I know he won't tolerate it for very long and as they note, it should not be used on a dog that will be left alone. This meets our needs.

My dog is a chubby Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. His noggin look quite chi, but his 15 lb body is long and low-rider. Little dude also has a penchant for snapping at strangers. I had no idea what size muzzle to get for the beast. Much to my surprise, this muzzle is on the money! It looked too big upon opening, but it keeps him from inflicting damage perfectly. It also arrived in two days. We and all potential victims are extremely pleased.

I had before was a size 2 from Petsmart and it was way too close to

his eyes. I just made sure his mouth was closed properly (tongue not

even a little out) and put it on. He was fine. HATES his nails cut

and that's why I got it.

I looked all over for the size 1 at Petsmart, but for whatever reason

they don't carry that size. So glad I went to Amazon and found this one.

My pup and I love everything Zukes. We were big fans of Zuke's Mini Bakes so we thought we'd try this new Zuke's product. We ordered the Very Berryz flavor and we were not disappointed. The ingredients are great and about 50% of the items on the ingredients list are organic, which I love. My dog enjoys these treats and happily trains with them.

The one issue for us is that they are a little big. My boy is 15 lbs and it takes him too long to eat one of these (when given whole) to use effectively for a training session. So i have to break them up before a training session which I find a little difficult to do the cookies are a bit hard and they crumble a bit when broken. For larger dogs, I imagine this would not be an issue. In other words: Zuke's (if you're listening) I'd love to see this product in mini-bakes formulation! i have posted photos of the size difference of this product versus the mini-bakes for reference.

Also of note, this box is 14 ounces versus the 16 ounce box of mini-bakes. The cardboard product boxes are the same size, but the weight is clearly labeled, so it's not that I feel misled, but wanted to point out that you are getting less product.

Updated to add that my dog loves these treats so much, that after examining the ingredients and finding them to be vegetarian, both my partner and I tried a little piece of the treat! i was surprised that they are not especially sweet even though they have molasses in them. It reminded me of the crackers called Wasa Crisps.
