Holt Dog Walking Collar Pink Size 4

We had been using the prong collar for our puppy. Then the vet said that she prefers the "gentle leader". So I looked it up and found the Holt walking collar as an alternative. The strap that goes over the dog's snout has nice padding and a soft fabric which the gentle leader doesn't have.

I did take the advice of another reviewer get yourself ready for the walk first (it's winter, so I'm gearing up with coat, hat, gloves). When you are ready to start walking, put the collar on the dog. My dog did successfully get it off of her face a few times within the first 5-10 minutes of the walk. After that though, it was like we'd been walking with this type of collar for months! She picked it up very quickly. (I had also tightened the part that goes round the snout so it was harder to get off.)

As for performance of the product it's amazing! No pulling or jolting away from the human. This is a much gentler way to control your dog on a walk! I was skeptical of the vet when she said that people never go back once they try this method she is 100% right! I will never go back! Five starts in every aspect!

I have two French Bulldogs. I've been giving them Macs & Buddy Mini Bones as treats, as benny's after taking their meds and for other "good job" actions for 9 years now. This is not a comfortable leash. It is a very hard leather and left red marks on my wrist. It feels more like a plastic handle. I would not recommend this leash.

Great in theory: It is easy to record my voice: unfortunately, everybody who comes in the house apparently needs to pick it up & look at it...& as soon as the tiny black button on the side is depressed, the message is erased. I would recommend getting one of each size. I have small hands and bf has large ones. Since we are both active in treating our 9 week old pup, having one of each size has been very beneficial. :) Highly recommend!

***UPDATE***: 4-29-09 I have been using the small in puppy classes and in our class we play a game called pass the puppy while the owners are in a sitting position. I like the ability to 'lock' the treats up in the tote so other noisy pups cannot get in their and steal 'em :) I have used it with jeans and spandex pants with no issues with the clip keeping it on. I have even jogged/run with it clipped on and it stays perfectly! Great buy!

This is a really nice treat pouch like the size and as others have said, easy to clean just turn inside out, wash and let air dry. It stays on very well also never had a problem with it falling off. The drawstring closure is very easy to use. Size is perfect too if you're wondering, definitely get the 2 cup if your dog is in training, the 1 cup is very small.

The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because of what it lacks. It would have been nice to have a little pocket on the outside to put an (unused) poop bag and/or a clicker. The other thing I noticed is that the inside pocket does bunch up a bit and makes it difficult to get to the bottom of the bag easily. All in all though, it's a nice bag. And one more note: It would be nice to be able to choose your color vs. being told colors vary and having to accept whatever they happen to ship.
