Jake's original mountain collar was 13 years old and we are talkin' plain black rope with two little silver rings. It's totally served it's purpose and is now just starting to show signs of wear, but enough wear that I worry it will break one day when I'm walking Jake. So I bought this collar. This collar is SUPER high quality. Those extra metal cinchers make it impossible to fray or break. And Jake looks VERY handsome sporting his new collar. I still can't believe this collar was SO affordably priced. It's an amazing collar and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a mountain collar. For those of you who may be comparing this to your standard metal choke or the newer metal chokes with the nylon inserts .... do your pup a favor and get him a mountain collar. Much more comfortable for the dog. Jake has had a mountain collar since he was a puppy as that is what the trainer recommended.
