Can find the 7 oz bottle online at many other retailers for about 1/2 the cost of this. I would search elsewhere for this treat. My dog loves them, but not at this price.

Our two dogs enjoy these treats quite a bit and certainly look forward to eating them. I like the small size of the treats and the recipe formula that uses chicken as the first ingredient.

On the not so plus side, corn syrup is the second ingredient and also included in the mix is the wonderful, often used animal digest.

Luckily our dogs can't read. They just like getting their soft, chewy treats.

I researched a muzzle to buy for a few days and finally settled on this one. I was looking for good quality on a budget. My biggest concern was that the dog would get the muzzle off and chew through the straps, thus wasting my money. I made sure that the size was appropriate for the dog by measuring his snout length and circumference, while allowing some extra space. This item has worked perfectly. I've had it for about a month and the dog has not been able to get off the muzzle nor chewed through any straps. There was room on the circumference/length straps for you to add several extra holes for a dog with a smaller head if necessary. My dog is aggressive 10% of the time but you never know when, however, he loves to be social and needs that social interaction from time to time. Using this product I am able to bring him to dog parks (or wherever) and feel comfortable that there will be no dog-fights. Overall he is better socialized this way and I am able to monitor what situations seem to trigger any aggression on his part and work with him in those areas. Some people shun us because he looks very mean with the muzzle on, but he actually is a sweet, playful dog that just needs attention and supervision. The value of this muzzle for my dog is exponentially more than $30....

The only negative thing I could say about the product is that I noticed some rusting on the small metal pieces that keep the straps together. However, I'm sure there is some kind of cleaner to fix that, or maybe I should dry it off immediately after he gets back from romping around in the snow. Actually any advice would be nice :)

After trying numerous harnesses on the market, we finally ordered the Sporn harness and I'm thrilled we did! My dog is a 1 year old beagle/spaniel mix who puts her nose to the ground and GOES! She is extremely powerful for her size (30lbs) and would nearly yank my arm out during walks. I tried training her on a short chain leash to no avail my hands would be red and even blistered after these attempts. She pulled and pulled and the harnesses would chafe her so badly and cut her under her legs. One walk with the Sporn and she was a changed dog! She still tries to pull and tugs ever so slightly, but the design of the harness prevents her from really pulling as she used to. Walks have become so enjoyable for both of us. She walks right alongside me just as I always wished she would, on pace with me. The padding underneath the legs is perfect and comfortable for her. My Dog was pulling me so badly and one day because of it, I fell to the ground. I was really distraught and starting looking for a solution. I got this for my pulling dog, and it worked a couple of times, then she figured out that if she wanted to pull me she just needed to push off with her back legs, not her front legs/shoulders.

I maybe used this 5 or 6 times before this started happening.

The other reviews are mostly kudos for this collar, and to be fair, I think it probably does work on some dogs -the ones who don't figure out how to get around it -but not all. I think people should keep this in mind when looking at getting this collar.

If you have a smart dog who can figure out how to get around things that annoy it -mine's an Australian Shepherd -you'll want to skip this one, but if your dog doesn't do this then you should be fine.

From the first walk using this product, my dog's behavior changed dramatically. I highly recommend this. I ordered the medium for my cocker spaniel, and adjusted it to the smallest possible length but it was still too big. But then I realized it doesn't fit snugly, because it doesn't need to. The padded cords, not the collar, make the halter work. I use another Sporn product, the Simple Harness, on my older dog, and I would highly recommend that too--it's the easiest to put on the dog.

After hearing of this product, I ordered one. Just received it today and tried it out on a 30# terrier mix we recently adopted (who was a holy terror with pulling/tugging when on a conventional collar)

He was not too keen on having it put on him the first time, but I'm sure he'll get used to it as time goes by.

Right off the bat he was a perfect lil gentleman! NO pulling or tugging even while using a long length Flexi-Leash.

I've never seen anything work SO well and end such kind of issues before. My cousin is a professional dog trainer and warned me that our new dog would be a lil harder to train on leash than the German Shepherds I'm used to, but this halter took care of that problem right out of the box!

Small Porch Potty Standard

NOTE:

I wrote this review a year ago on Amazon for a nearly identical product by the same manufacturer, then called "Porch Potty Standard with Synthetic Grass". It appears that this product is now offered in a smaller size and is called "Small Porch Potty Standard". The only difference I can see between the larger version (that I own) and this smaller version is just the size. My original review has been updated slightly to reflect this and to include a year's worth of observations.

MY REVIEW:

This is the first time I have ever reviewed any item on any web site but I felt compelled to convey some strong feelings I have after having our dog use the large Porch Potty for the last year. We were desperate for something like this and needed a doggie potty to put on a second floor deck, exposed to the weather. Our previous doggie potty used kitty litter but proved impractical with the exposure to rain outdoors. We needed something that could get wet and it would not cause any problem.

Good Points:

The drain system works nicely, just as advertised. The drain hose is plenty long too.

I think that, given the modifications that I have made (see below), this device will suit our needs.

Neutral Points:

We own the larger version of this product that is 2 ft by 4 ft in size. This smaller version is half the size, 2 ft by 2 ft. Our 28 pound cocker spaniel moves around a little bit when he does his business and he just would not fit on the smaller size. Since this smaller size is marketed for dogs up to 30 pounds, you might want to consider a larger doggie potty if your dog is near the 30 pound size.

This is nobody's fault, but our dog does not seem to like stepping on the artificial grass if it is wet. Maybe if we used real turf this would not be an issue.

Bad Points:

The plastic base of the larger size model is fairly flimsy. The company states that it can hold dogs up to 120 pounds. Our Large Porch Potty was very springy when our 28 pound dog walked on it, so much so that it sort of spooked him. I had to install support brackets under the Large Porch Potty to give it enough support so that it does not "give" so much when he walks on it. I don't see how a 120 pound dog can use this, both because of the flimsy plastic base and because of the size (2 ft by 4 ft). The smaller size offered here (2 ft by 2 ft) probably does not have as much "springiness" by virtue of its smaller size, but that is just my guess.

The artificial turf was not cut to fit the Large Porch Potty very well. I had to cut almost one inch off one side to get it to fit inside the plastic base.

The artificial turf backing has holes melted into it so it will drain. This is a really good idea for obvious reasons. Unfortunately these holes were not cleaned out very well so I scraped off all the loose and melted pieces on the bottom of the artificial turf mat before letting the dog use it. This is not mandatory but I did not want to deal with a lumpy turf backing or loose turf pieces after the artificial turf had been used.

We purchased the built-in sprinkler option for our porch potty. The sprinkler system does work to wet the grass but I found it impractical. If our dog does #2, I really need a hose to clean up what I cannot scoop up completely. If I use the sprinklers, it takes too long to clean the artificial turf in the one spot where it was soiled. A hose just takes a few seconds. If our dog does #1, I could wait and not water down the area, but then that area starts to smell bad. So once again I use a hose to wash down the area just used. Again the sprinklers take too long to clean things up. Also, the sprinklers spray outside the Porch Potty, getting our deck and house wet. Bottom line is that I found the sprinklers impractical. Since I quit using them completely I removed them, plugged the holes in the plastic tray, and purchased an extra square foot of artificial turf to plug the two holes in the turf, effectively converting the Porch Potty Premium into a Porch Potty Standard. I now have a garden hose next to the porch potty and use it as needed. That is the way to go in my opinion.

There are four little rubber "feet" on the bottom corners of the Large Porch Potty plastic base, presumably to elevate it off the surface it is resting on so that only these four points touch the floor/deck. The Large Porch Potty was flimsy enough that the whole thing sagged and these feet were ineffectual. In fact one of them fell off. I installed my own rubber feet. It took about a dozen of them to adequately keep the plastic base off our deck's surface.

The artificial grass provided has pretty well lost it "spring" and sort of lays flat where our dog normally walks on it. This is probably more a cosmetic issue than a functional one.

#1 Major Bad Point This item is way overpriced for what you get. It is basically a molded plastic tray with a drain hose attached and a piece of artificial turf on top. If I were retailing this, I would put a price tag of $99 on it. It is plainly one of those items that you get mail order and think, wow, I paid way too much for what I just got. I was really disappointed that I sort of got ripped off from a price perspective.

I have no opinion on the included fire hydrant. We did not use it because our dog does not need it to be compelled to go.

I would think long and hard about purchasing any Porch Potty with the built-in sprinkler. Like I said, I converted back to the Porch Potty without sprinklers. That was about a $50 mistake given all the costs involved.

In the end, after the fixes made, it does seem to be working to meet the needs of our dog in our situation. But the problems with it make me drop its rating 1-2 stars. And, in addition, because of such a clearly inflated price, it really deserves to lose 1-2 additional stars. Thus, I give it a two star rating. In the end, given all its shortcomings in design and manufacture and its inflated price, I am still glad that we got it because it is now meeting our needs. It was just sort of an unpleasant road to get to this point.

I bought the PP because I live in a 3rd floor condo and during the winter, I don't feel like walking through the snow for 45 minutes so my dog can do nothing while I freeze. The product has proven quite valuable with housebreaking in combination with the crate. The reviews within the internet were the best compared to other similar products, and the product itself is great in my opinion. I have a standard, no sprinkler. I have a 12 pound dog and have experienced no sagging of the center, and she has plenty of room to spin around. You do have to be diligent about dumping the pee bowl underneath, otherwise it gets full and quite gross. But overall, its a great product. We use live grass so it needs to be changed monthly or it rots and gets nasty. This is where my reasoning for leaving off the 5th star comes in: I've had some issues with customer service getting my orders wrong, and the website screws up on credit card orders, but there is no weekend customer service on the 800 number, etc. PLUS, you cannot sign up for the monthly ordering of sod if you don't sign up for it when you purchase the PP. This to me is unacceptable. How are you supposed to know if you need it right away? Overall, it's expensive but truthfully, worth it, lest you buy one of the crappier products for way cheaper and learn it the hard way.

I have a chihuahua mix dog and I have to tell you this is the only product I could get to work for me without any major issues. Before this, I had tried pee pads which worked but needed constant attention and if she got bored, my dog tore them up leaving a huge mess. I also tried dog litter but again she liked to rip up the paper pellets and leave a huge mess. I tried similar products but they were very flimsy and she didn't take to using them; they also smelled really bad even if I rinsed it every day. It was a lot of work. I eventually bought the porch potty (I use the standard without sprinklers since I didn't think there would be a point) for her and she actually used it without any problems. I've had it for a year now and still in great shape. She actually prefers the porch potty even when she has a backyard. Check out the actual website for the porch potty for more reviews as well. I am definitely happy with my choice.

PROS:

* Very nice design

* A good size for smaller dogs (should watch your dogs bathroom habits because my dog likes to move around while she's doing her business as well but since she is only 8lbs there is ample room on this small size)

* Definitely the price for what you get but well worth given the right circumstances such as indoors, high apartment floors, hard to train dogs, etc.

Holt Dog Walking Collar Red Size 0

We have a 25 lb Rat Terrier who would pull no matter what we tried. This product works great. Despite what people fear about hurting the dog's neck, I found out from a vet that these fears are unfounded. He said that there are very few, if any reports of dogs hurt using the Holt. There are many reports of dogs hurt using choke collars and prong collars. Besides, why cause your dog pain, if you can train him without it.

The key is to train. Holt will keep your dog from pulling, but it will not do your work for you. The idea is that you constantly reward your dog as he walks without pulling. The best way to do so is using a clicker and rewards. Once he gets used to the idea that he will be rewarded for not going to the end of the leash, you can put the Holt on the dog, but fasten the leash to the flat collar and continue to click and reward.

Eventually, you take the Holt off and he won't realize it. Gradually you can wean him off the clicker and the food reward. Always keep some reward in your pocket. We all like reward once in a while.

People complain because it's a Chinese product. Who cares? If we can't make a good product in the USA that will help me train my dog without causing him pain, then I'll buy it from where ever they sell it. The Holt is better than Gentle Leader for two reasons. First, the Holt is clipped onto the dog's collar. If the dog manages to take it off, your leash it attached to the Holt which is attached to his collar. He's not going anywhere. Second, the Holt has side straps that Gentle Leader does not have. These keep the padded nose strap from riding up toward the eyes.

Does the dog like it? It depends how you introduce him to the Holt. I left mine on the floor where I could see it. The dog played with it. I gave him a treat each time he did. Then we played by holding a treat on one side and having the dog slip his muzzle through the opening to get the treat. Gradually, we learned to put it on, get a treat and take it off. Finally, we put it on and kept it on . . . off we went for a short walk with lots of treats. Each walk got longer. He still squirmed when he had to "get dressed" to go out, but quickly learned that unless he put it on, he was not going out. Now he looks at it and whines until it's on and he's on the way out the door.

To close, there is one negative. Buy small. I don't know about the size of dogs in China, but they must be larger than our own. My 25 lb Rat Terrier wears a zero.

I cannot really say if the product works because it didn't fit my dog. Even though the size specs say it's for my breed, it was very very large and I had to return it.

We recently purchased the Sport Dog shock collar. Me being the reluctant female(thinking..."ohhhh...how cruel", and my husband being ever so reassuring that it really would be beneficial, AND he would test it on himself(be he ever so manly...I had to see that one!)... We bought it for the sole intent of gaining immediate and definitive control of our then 7 month old/70lb doberman pup, since we have two children roughly the same size as the dog with the dog soon to surpass them in size. Setting 1 did absolutely nothing, setting 2...well, dog ran around confused after the correction. Setting 3 definitely got his full attention. I was a believer after using this the first couple of times that it is VERY VERY effective in a good way. The best part is the warning tone... you give the corrective command, and when dog does not respond, you beep then immediately give the corrective shock(what really amounts to a strong static shock from walking across the carpet and touching another human...even tried it on myself...and I'm a GIRL!)... The positive thing about the warning tone is that after just a couple of shocks after the tone...ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS beep...dog magically responds, and does as he should. Great for a bark collar as well. When my overzealous barker goes nutzo in the backyard just because he wants to hear himself bark...I give the tone from in the house...he STOPS barking, and will quietly go about his routine outside time only to bark at the really emminent threats(well...that he perceives when the cat walks on the fence!). Batteries last okay... we really just got lazy about turning the unit off EVERY time, so they did run down within a couple of weeks of use, but not that expensive to buy a couple more at the local market. The ONLY CON is that when the collar is not on the dog, he KNOWS it, and pushes his luck a bit more. I have heard tale of other collars having a dummy collar for just such cases, so I am considering making up a dummy for him to maybe trick him into thinking it's always on until he is a grown up doggie, and will be all knowing in the ways of human expectation of less barking, no jumping on the glass door, no sniffing the no-no area on guest or pack members, and come to my side when I say... On that last note: that was the BEST part when my lunatic came immediately to my side after saying "Come", tone, zap! Pretty soon, "Come", tone".... now just "Come", and voila', he's there! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.

I did a lot of research on these before I purchased one for my cocker spaniel. Many of the other products out there, at $20-$50 less, had great reviews BUT when you looked at the actual review, the products had many problems (distance less than expected, batteries wearing out quickly, not working at all after a few months, etc.). It appeared as if they were scored high because the dogs stopped doing what the owners wanted and therefore rated thier experience as good even thought the product failed.

My dog was quite well behaved but at one year old, I still struggled with "come" and "stay" and he also didn't walk consistently well and when excited would constantly pull on the leash. THIS PRODUCT HAS TURNED HIM INTO THE PERFECT DOG!!!

At first, he wore it all day and I used it for every command. I followed the directions carefully and combined my command with the tone and then correction when he did not listen. He now only wears it when we walk or are just hanging out in the front yard (non fenced). He listens to me with out the collar on 98% of the time (still a puppy) and when wearing the collar he rarely needs corrections. I walk him with this instead of a leash and we can walk by other crazy, pulling, barking, snarling, yapping dogs and he stays right at my heal and looks at them like they are crazy.

And I have owned this product for 3 months and have not had to change or replace the batteries and have yet to find a range/distance it did not work. Sometimes I can't see where my dog is and I call him and give the tone and he appears immediately.

THIS PRODUCT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY I PAID. Highly recommend this brand.

I just got it and I'm fairly happy so far. It's small and lightweight as advertised and the quality seems good. Loading batteries into the receiver can be tricky so be careful. The transmitter and receiver each take two batteries. I don't know yet how long they will last. The snap collar makes fastening easy. My biggest disappointment was that the collar would not fit my Cocker Spaniel. If your dog's neck size is smaller than 15", look for a different collar. The stimulation levels seem good I tested levels 1-4 on my underarm. Level one was barely noticeable, level four approaches discomfort and will probably be the highest I will need. Features that this model doesn't have but you may want to look for include rechargable batteries, waterproof transmitter, momentary stimulation and remote turn-off.

I ordered the yard trainer for my LAB. We go to the park Monday thru Saturday mornings and walk with other dog walkers and their dogs. Our dogs are allowed to run free, and they love it. My dog was the only one who kept her nose on the ground and ate everything from paper to poop. The trainer has helped a great deal, but we're not "there" yet. Only one problem so far. When it is cold (below 20 degrees or so), it freezes up and won't stay "on" or won't even turn on. Come warm weather, I hope to see more improvement both in her disgusting eating habit as well as her obedience.

I was hesitant to use an E-collar but my 7 month old GSD puppy was just getting a bit out of hand with the chewing and jumping and barking and everything else. She is a good puppy most of the time but when she wants something, she'll pretty much knock down the glass door and she won't stop no matter what we do. Knowing that giving in would just empower her and reinforce the behavior, I got this collar after researching all the alternatives.

I tested it on myself and determined that level 2 gives a slight numbing pulse while 4 gives a little snap like a higher powered static charge when you get out of your car and touch the car door on a cold day. I read the manual which is pretty good and straight forward and started working with the dog. The dog is already pretty good with "sit" and "down" and sometimes "come" but not "heel". I also couldn't take the dog out without a leash and it was always a battle with the tugging and pulling. One time it broke off a smaller collar and I had to buy a big thick double heavy duty nylon collar to hold her.

The behavior changed within 1 day of using this collar. The dog comes immediately when I call and I just have to beep and she'll run over and sit next to me. I don't need to shock her anymore after just 1 day as long as she sees me. I still have to shock her though if she doesn't see me and she will still jump all over the wife and kid so I have to monitor her.

First time walking her without a leash, she ran off to the neighbor's house as she always does, I beeped, she didn't respond, I turned on the shock, she ran back so fast at a full gallop that when she couldn't stop in time next to me, she hit my legs and almost knocked me over. The second time, she ventured out a few feet but didn't dare go past me. We took a walk around the neighborhood without a leash and she was always by my side. Truly amazing.

Like the heading says, it's only been 3 weeks and I have to constantly monitor her with the collar and once in a while I have to beep it to remind her to behave but I don't have to use the shock unless she is getting very unruly with the wife, then I have to use the shock to remind her to behave. Batteries are still good, but I always turn it off when not in use.

Even though this is a great tool, it is no substitute for taking the time to work with the dog. This will speed things up and supplement a good training regimen, but it is not a substitute.

Easy Walk Harness - Black Small

Yes we've tried the Gentle Leader, and Sporn Halters, and a zillion other things. This halter is the greatest. With many dogs in tow, my 2 small, alpha dogs were contantly pulling me and the other dogs in a rendition of some sled dog movie they must have caught on TV. After the intial figuring out of how to put it on, there was an immediate difference in how my dogs walk after the first walk. So now I don't have to juggle a bunch of clickers, treats, and other what-nots, my dogs just walk like nice dogs now. Shew. Now I can finally concentrate on regular obedience training.

The best way to use a harness with a D-Ring on the chest is to attach the leash to the d-ring on the harness and also the d-ring on the dogs collar. I had a harness similar and that was the recomended use by a trainer, forgot the brand name. When attached in this manner if the dog slips out of the harness he still is attached at the collar. You might think attaching it to the collar is defeating the purpose of the harness but it does not. The harness keeps the collar d-ring on the underside of the dogs neck and allows you better control over the dog. Without the harness the dogs collar and leash rotates to the back of his head and when the dog pulls you have little control. So if the front strap of the harness is loose enough give this method a try and see how it works out for you.

I had to return 2 of these harnesses (and got dinged a 20% restocking fee from this seller on top of the cost of shipping both ways). This harness does not work with all dogs. Both my dogs fit the "girth measurement" but the loop where the leash attaches drags on the ground. My two dogs were able to walk out of the thing and kept getting their front legs tangled up. Also there is one dimension where the harness can't be adjusted so you might find, as I did, that the girth measurement is correct, but it still is too big for your dog. The description should have warned the owners of "short" dogs that this would not be a good choice.

If you want to try this out on your dog, buy it from a dealer who will refund ALL your money other than the shipping costs. It's too risky otherwise.

Prompt delivery and good service. I have found that my dog can slip out of the harness by standing up on her hind legs, but she is a very small dog so maybe I should have gotten the smaller size. I only gave this item 4 stars because I just used it for the first time yesterday. I also have a small dog who thinks he is a sled dog. Upon using the harness for the first time yesterday I immediately saw a 50% improvement while on our walk. However, I do need to adjust the harness a bit more. Dog Whisperer Training Dog Leash in Black, 6' L X 5/16" W

It really works. I did have some training on how to use it. Both my dogs were aggressive toward other dogs. One little pull on the lead the right way to distract their attention and back to quiet, normal dogs.

after buying a larger size leash, i ordered this size for my small dog. i got it yesterday and tried it out . it really works well and am pleased with this product. would get again and would recommend it to others.

This is a fantastic product. My 8 week old puppy was completely trained withing two weeks. Whenever she needs to go out she just rings the bell. The leather is sturdy and bells are well fastened. Great product.

It is great that my 7 and 9 month old boxers can let me know when they need to use the bathroom. No more inside accidents, as long as I' m paying attention that is, lol.

Dogtra IQ Bark Collar, Black

We have tried many bark collars, living with 5 dogs in a busy neighborhood. From citronella collars, expensive items from Petco and Petsmart, Dogtra rechargeable models, you name it, we've tried it. This is the first collar that WORKS without hurting our dogs necks where the contact points meet the fur. I highly recommend trying this collar before you spend more on an expensive rechargeable model, because these batteries last a long time and the collar is worth every penny.

It fits snugly against the dog's neck unlike the PetSafe little dog collar which I previously had. The PetSafe wouldn't hang straight and had uncomfortable looking prongs.. The warning buzzer is a great idea. Shock intensity is adjustable in 10 steps from next to nothing to yelp. I like the test feature too.

I purchased this collar, as one always excited about new technology. I have multiple dogtra bark collars and ecollars as well as tri-tronics. This new collar just doesn't work as well as the YS-300 from Dogtra. Dogs were barking and the stimulation was erratic and unreliable. After trying to love it for a week, I returned it. Not to mention, manual says that batteries will last about 2 weeks. So every two weeks, you will pay to replace batteries OR just get the YS-300 that you can recharge for YEARS. Most of mine are pushing 6-8 years. Sadly, can't recommend this collar.

Pet Buddies PB1144 Pooch Razzler Dog Toy

I've found this toy to be great for playing tug-o-war with my dog! So far, it seems pretty durable (after 2 or 3 weeks) and my dog still likes it!

When it came, I thought it would be too huge for my 5.5 lb Shichon puppy, but she LOVES it. The ends, of course, are easy for her to grab, but even the large middle fits in her little mouth because it's softer plastic. She looks so funny running with it, but will enjoy it for a long time, I'm sure.
