Secure Leather Mesh Dog Basket Muzzle #11 Black - Pit Bull, AmStaff (Circumference 12", Snout Length

Secure Leather Mesh Dog Basket Muzzle #11 Black - Pit Bull, AmStaffI researched a muzzle to buy for a few days and finally settled on this one. I was looking for good quality on a budget. My biggest concern was that the dog would get the muzzle off and chew through the straps, thus wasting my money. I made sure that the size was appropriate for the dog by measuring his snout length and circumference, while allowing some extra space. This item has worked perfectly. I've had it for about a month and the dog has not been able to get off the muzzle nor chewed through any straps. There was room on the circumference/length straps for you to add several extra holes for a dog with a smaller head if necessary. My dog is aggressive 10% of the time but you never know when, however, he loves to be social and needs that social interaction from time to time. Using this product I am able to bring him to dog parks (or wherever) and feel comfortable that there will be no dog-fights. Overall he is better socialized this way and I am able to monitor what situations seem to trigger any aggression on his part and work with him in those areas. Some people shun us because he looks very mean with the muzzle on, but he actually is a sweet, playful dog that just needs attention and supervision. The value of this muzzle for my dog is exponentially more than $30....

The only negative thing I could say about the product is that I noticed some rusting on the small metal pieces that keep the straps together. However, I'm sure there is some kind of cleaner to fix that, or maybe I should dry it off immediately after he gets back from romping around in the snow. Actually any advice would be nice :)
