Sofa Scram Sonic Scat Pad

High Tech Pet Sofa Scram Sonic Scat Pad Pet Deterrent, 3-PackThe Sofa Scram didn't deter my cat at all. First of all, it comes on when it wants to. I heard it beep once when the cat hopped onto it, and that's the only time I heard it aside from my own tampering. I eventually pressed my hand on the mat for better contact. This only worked intermittently, and when it did beep my cat was interested in the speaker--not afraid of it by any means. My cat isn't the shy, shrinking violet type, so perhaps that's why it didn't take. But, either way, this product was entirely ineffective for me.

My wife and I just got a new sofa and decided it was time to break our dogs of the habit of hanging out on the couch. Worked well with our two lab and Jack rat. It's pretty easy to fold up and you can store it under your couch.

The only reason I'm giving it 4 star is because it runs on 9 volts I think it would be cool if it gave you the option of plugging it in. So far we have been using it for 3 weeks with it on all most all the time other then when we are sitting and it's still running on the same battery.

product works great in the sound it gives off, but with dogs who can lift the ends or middle they get right through it and don't sound off noise.

Our Weims are too smart for their own good, so they would always find a way to sneak onto the couch... Now they have no desire to do so! All it took was to hear that loud, very annoying high-pitched noise and they are suddenly perfectly content with their pet beds ;) Great product! Should have gotten this thing a LOMG time ago!

Want Sofa Scram Sonic Scat Pad Discount?

The one drawback, is that the alarm doesn't respond when certain spots on the pad are depressed, but all I have to do is put it on the bed while my dog is watching and press it myself. I think he hears the sound and is smart enough to stay away from it once that happens. I think that dogs in general are smart enough to do the same. In short, it works...and it's only $25.

SportDOG Orange Check Cord, 30-Foot

SportDOG Orange Check Cord, 30-Footgreat lead, great quality, very happy, would recomend, only draw back is no handle/loop for the hand but not a big deal

This item is strong and very lightweight.

I use it for a tie-out for my terrier who loves to run around. Because I live in a community that does not allow fencing it is perfect for when we are not walking on a leash.

I am still using the check cord even after my vizsla chewed on it a bit. It has weathered being outside day and night for the last 8 months and would recommend it.

Herm Sprenger Pinch Dog Collar with Quick Release Snap, 16-Inch, Medium

Herm Sprenger Pinch Dog Collar with Quick Release Snap, 16-Inch, MediumThis collar is a great product for dogs that are too headstrong to listen. My trainer recommended this brand over all others because Herm Sprenger has rounded tips on the prongs instead of cut metal, so there's no cuts from using it.

I will recommend anyone using this collar learn how to use it properly (it's for quick corrections, not constant pulling), and note that this isn't recommended for extremely aggressive or shy dogs (their instincts overpower their pain response and can harm the dog), but for walking, running and training with a normal dog, there's no better collar to help get the behavior you want out of your dog.

Our wonderful shelter dog, Serena, is a chou lab mix and she is strong. Walking her was a challenge. I have tried many kinds of collars and harnesses to make life easier. Some worked fairly well but were a challenge to put on. Others pulled off just when I needed them most. But, once I learned the simple tricks of how to put it on this collar solved the problems.

I no longer dread trying to get the collar on her in her jumping enthusiasm.

This works instant. After walking miles a day with my 85lb German Shepherd pup and still having tugging issue when she must have a cat/squirrel, this was the answer! The photo looks menacing, but on the neck it is hidden by my dogs hair. Rounded ends Quality made Quick release As she grows I can add separately purchased extra links. Should have got it much sooner.

After much reading & research and talking with dog trainers, I did purchase this collar. When used correctly it will not harm your dog. If you have a large animal who will "bolt" without warning, this can certainly be a learning tool. Never to be used as a tie out-great for correcting "unsafe" behaviors that can harm pet or owner.

Bungee Pupee 6-Feet X-Large Leash, Blue/Black

Bungee Pupee 6-Feet X-Large Leash, Blue/BlackOver the past three years, my hip arthritis has really made walking my 90-pound female White Cavalier Pitbull more and more difficult; when she sees a rabbit bolt across the street or a small dog running around, she pulls very hard. If my arthritis is flaring up, my dog would almost literally pull me off my feet. I found the Bungee Puppee leash being sold at the Farmers Market in the Great Park of Orange County. The vendor's prices were very reasonable and I followed their advice (same as given online here with Amazon and the [..] website) that the leash is picked one size up from our dog's weight if they are a strong puller. Got a chance to try it out same day I bought it when we got home, a neighbor was walking their little Chihuahua and my dog wanted to go meet it...the leash worked perfectly! My dog pulled enough to stretch the bungees, but I never felt unbalanced or even pulled very much at all. When my dog felt the resistance of the bungees pulling against her, she was fine with stopping her tugging! This is an AWESOME product and if you are disabled and have a hard time walking your dog, you will appreciate this Bungee Puppee leash even more!!!!

After reviewing the info for the Bungee Pupee leash, I ordered one rated for dogs up to 165 pounds. My pup is only 90 pounds, but he is an adult APBT and they have tremendous pulling strength, pound for pound. The Bungee Pupee leash exceeds my expectations. Quality manufactured. Timely delivery. Secure for very active pups. I highly recommend this Bungee Pupee leash for any pup, with various sizes to match.

Before finding this leash I struggled with the constant tug of war that my dog and I would play while walking...well Bungee Pupee solved that problem for me. I no longer have to deal with my dog pulling me where he wants to go and I control the walks with this leash. thanks for making walks more enjoyable again!

This is a nice leash. My bulldog is large and strong. Helps with pulling and jerking when we walk. Would recommend.

Want Bungee Pupee 6-Feet X-Large Leash, Blue/Black Discount?

My 100lb German Shepherd is a great dog... until he sees a cat. Then he pulls like he's on fire. This bungee leash is exactly what I needed to enjoy my walks. It gives us enough warning to brace ourselves when he goes crazy. Then when he gets to the end of the bungee he gets pulled back. Often, the poor little guy looks totally confused by what just happened. It's making him a better walker by giving him a funny feeling when he starts pulling ahead. I got this leash because a bungee leash seemed like an interesting idea. I'm never walking without one again.

Safety Vest

Guardian Gear Polyester/Nylon Safety Dog Vest, XX-Large,30-Inch, OrangeI have to agree with the other reviewer who said that the sizing chart is off. Both my dogs are about 28 inches from neck to tailbase, so I ordered size XXL only to find out that the vests are way too big. PPE exchanged them without a problem (I had the new vests within a week) to XL, which fits my 100 pound Black Lab. It is still a little too big for my 78 pound Lab/Husky mix. Otherwise this is a good quality product.

I purchased two of these vests for my dogs so that they would be seen in the snow as something other than a hunted animal. First off, I found them to run a bit small. My male, Herman Munster, has a very large chest, and the strap barely fit around it. The back strap also has a fit issue. If I were to close it, it would come right across his penis. Not a great feature. So I had to snap it together on his back, so it just kind of flaps around like a cape. The first time he wore it, the strap got caught on a branch, and totally unraveled. So even if the placement had worked, it's of no use to me now. My female, Lily Munster, is on the chubby side, and the straps barely fit around her. I couldn't go up a size, because it would be too long for her body. So all in all, I'm not impressed with them. Sizing was an issue, placement of straps, durability also did not impress me. The concept is great, but I could've been more impressed.

Buy Safety Vest Now

These vests are well made for the price (China,of course), but the sizing chart is misleading. The chart states that a medium will fit dogs who are 12 to 16 inches from their neck to the base of their tail, but the medium itself is 16 inches long. My dogs are about 15 inches and there seems to be plenty of strap material to fit a much larger dog. I double checked the tags and mine are indeed mediums. These vests have 3 straps; one around the neck that connects harness-fashion to the one near the middle (about even with the first reflective stripe), and one at the hind end. This last one must have been removed for the picture. If you don't want your dog to pee on the last strap, you will either need to remove it, fold or roll up the vest, or order the next size down.

This vest is great, my dog it's okay with it. I bought it because we were going to be in Vermont during hunting season, and I didn't want anybody to confuse my dog with a deer. Also when it's great when you are in the woods because you can find your dog so easy everytime we loose him for a little bit.

Bought 2 of these for our dogs and after 3 wears, one of the black straps came out of the seam. Since I sew I fixed it and reinforced all the places the black straps hit the orange fabric. The stitching it comes with is single line and weak. Won't last if you're dog/s run through woods/brush or wrestle. At least the price is right and it was an easy fix if you can sew. I ordered L's (1 55 pound husky and 1 55 pound lab) but which fits in around the body but the fitting is too long, so the back strap goes too far back and makes it bunch. If I had male dogs it wouldn't fit comfortably. I would order a Medium next time and loosen the black straps.

PetSafe Wireless Pet Containment System, PIF-300

PetSafe Wireless Pet Containment System, PIF-300Since we are in the process of selling our home we decided to give this wireless system a try. FIRST, I would suggest you take your dog's temperament into consideration. Although I wouldn't consider our adopted 90 lb. male Weimaraner a wus, he isn't the Alpha dog either. The training aids were good and he quickly learned how far he could go on static shock level 4. He has since become so accustomed to our establised boundaries that we have lowered it to level 2 (level 1 is just an audible beep). Adjusting the shock level is very easy it just involves unscrewing a small cover on the collar and depressing a button. On the transmitter, you adjust the RADIUS (remember that the signal is emitted in a circle from the transmitter) using a dial. EASY! It did take some effort to locate it correctly in our home they suggest it be 24" off of the floor and it obviously has to be near an outlet, but it can emit a signal up to 90 feet in every direction that's a total cross section of 180 feet! The only disadvantage we found and it is minor is that if your home sits higher (or lower??) than part of your yard it will add few extra feet to your radius until the collar picks up the signal. This can be overcome if you build this allowance into your transmitters placement. Overall, we are thrilled and we've had this about 4 months now. I have had people tell me that once water gets under the battery cover, the battery dies. I don't know, but after looking at the cover I think it would have to be a downpour before that happened or maybe the dog went swimming or was bathed? Regardless, I placed a piece of duct tape not pretty but functional over the cover to keep this from happening. Finally, we will continue to use this even after we move since it has worked so well. A good investment to protect your pet but PLEASE don't forget to take the collar off of your dog before putting him in the car and backing our of the garage. YIKES!!!

I have owned this system for a little over three years. It has been amazing. But it's a big investment.

I have an Australian Sheppard that I had allowed to run loose at a previous house where I didn't have neighbors, street traffic, etc. After moving to the new house in a subdivision, I couldn't find anything to keep the dog close to home. He dug under or jumped over fences and would spend all day howling when he was chained. At 5 years old I thought he was pretty set in his ways. This system worked in a matter of minutes.

I hooked up the transmitter and marked the circular area around the house where it started beeping. Then I put the collar on the dog without any charge and taught him that when he heard the sound to return to the house. After a couple of times I jacked up the amperage and let him figure the rest out himself. It only took two shocks before he was done.

For those not familiar with the product:

The transmitter is kept in a weather tight area (i.e. your house--I kept mine in a kitchen cabinet). It will need an outlet for power. Then the collar goes on the dog. The collar is battery operated (more about that later on). The transmitter broadcasts a signage and as long as the collar is picking up that signage there is no shock. By the way, power outages are not an issue. If the dog wonders to the transmitter's boundary, the dog will hear 2 seconds worth of beeping before the metal prongs begin shocking his neck. The shock lasts for 20 seconds or until the dog returns to the boundary. The shock is quite a tingle (which I discovered while holding it and marking the boundary). It's certainly not enough to kill or leave any lasting damage, but it is definitely unpleasant. You can adjust the intensity of the shock from high to off which only leaves the beeping.

Some things to know before you buy the product:

THIS IS NOT AN ELECTRIC FENCE. I know you read that in the description, but it needs to be restated. The circular boundary your dog has is not fixed and permanent. On a clear day he may be able to roam a few feet further than on previous days. Some days the dog is able to cross the neighbor's drive and other days he can't. If you want a perfect boundary then this won't do it. If you're just looking at keeping the dog close to home, this is what you need.

THIS PRODUCT GIVES THE DOG A CIRCULAR AREA. Keep in mind that the transmitter broadcasts equally in all directions. If you have a long, narrow yard he will only have access to a circular area around the base. I realized this when I discovered the dog had made a pretty uniform circle of poop around my house instead of going to the back corner of the yard. You can increase this area with multiple transmitters; however, if your neighbor has the same product and the ranges overlap then both your dog and theirs will be able to freely travel back and forth.

The system is not perfect. If you can live with all the limitations listed above, there are a couple of frustrations.

BATTERIES ARE EXPENSIVE. Different reviews offer different lengths of time that the batteries last. Some people say their batteries last for 4 months. Mine go dead after 1 month. You can find a 2-pack of batteries for between $8 and $12 or order on line, but those start adding up.

YOU CAN ADJUST THE SHOCK BUT NOT THE BEEPING. One of the neat things about the system is once you train your dog you can then take the system with you when you visit relatives or go camping. When the dog hears the beep, he returns to the base location. However, for most people, they will set it up in their house and never move it again. With the beep, you are training your dog to respond to the beep not to the area. Thusly, when the battery dies and the dog stops hearing the beep then he keeps roaming. I would rather be able to train the dog to the area he is allowed and then turn off the beep so he learns where he can and can't go.

REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE EXPENSIVE. The material on my collar started showing wear within the first year. The collar device is scratched and the indicator light no longer works. When I priced replacement collars and discovered they cost almost $200 a piece I started babying it. The collar material finally fell apart last weekend. I was able to find a cheap collar and fix it so it would work with my existing collar device and make the repair for about $5.00. I'm not going to be a happy camper with the collar device finally fails and I have to drop another $200.00.

THERE ARE SOME ETHICAL QUESTIONS. I understand people complain that it might be cruel to shock a dog. Personally, I think it's considerably less cruel than keeping the dog chained or allowing him to get hit by a car. However, the first few times your dog gets a shock and wimpers are hard for an owner to hear. My dog did seem to have some nervous reactions during the first few months of use. Perhaps I could have prevented that with less ambitious training. He has since adjusted and doesn't seem to mind the collar at all.

HIGH OPERATING COST. All told, I spent $280.00 for the original unit and have spent about $5 per month in batteries for 3 years. Over the three years I've had it I've averaged $12.77 per month to operate it--pretty pricey. And, as stated earlier, it looks like I may have to drop another $200 for a replacement collar before the year is over.

*****UPDATE JUNE 2011*****

Well it finally happened. The collar crapped out on me. It just started randomly shocking the dog. The new collar was right at $200.00. It's back up and running now.

*****UPDATE OCTOBER 2011*****

Just got a new puppy...a 3-month old golden retriever that loves to roam. Two shocks and she is trained. Yes, it was another $200.00 for another collar, but less expensive than explaining to my son that his dog had been hit by a car. This new dog is a water lover. I'm not sure how the collar will stand up to that, but I'll keep you posted.

We purchased this item on Saturday. Hooked it up on Sunday and by Monday afternoon our 5 month old Rat Terrier/Bichon was staying in the yard consistently. We are really pleased with this product. Our dog has been staying in the yard with many people walking by and other dogs passing by as well. It appears that he seldom has to experience the shock, he turns around rather quickly as soon as he hears the warning beep.

The only difficulty we have encountered is that we have cable and electricity boxes on two corners of our lot and it appears that there is some interference with the signal. We still have the signal , but it is not in the perfect circle from the transmitter that you would expect.

So far, excellent product, highly recommend. Great alternative to expensive in ground systems, and much easier to install.

My husband brought this fence system home about a month ago. We have a 10 month old Golden Retriever(Molly)who weighs 80 lbs and is very high energy. Molly was used to being on a long tethered lead when she was out. It took about an hour to read the directions and set up the boundary, only because we have woods and needed to decide where she was allowed to go. After we figured that out, it took about 1/2 hour to place all the flags (only took THAT long because the kids were "helping"). I am NOT kidding you when I tell you she was trained that same evening! I only had one incident of her going past the barrier as the school bus was just TOO inticing. I turned the collar up a level (VERY easy to do) and took her out side. As soon as she realized it was less comfortable to escape, she decided not to do it again. It has been a mont and she has had the whole yard to play in all day! Its wonderful to just be able to put her out and not worry. She knows her boundary and does not go past it. I highly reccommend this fence. A feature we have NOT used yet, but look forward to, is being able to take it with us when we travel SO cool!

I do wish there was a feature that allowed us to remotely page her to come in, or "correct" her when jumping or chewing something she shouldn't. That is the ONLY thing I would add.

Thanks!!

K. Ellis

West Simsbury, CT

a later note:

I wrote this review about a month ago. Still a GREAT product, however my batteries died without a warning and she escaped to the road. No biggie they were easy and inexpensive to replace. However, there should be a warning sound on the main unit or something. I did buy another pet safe product, a separate collar for manual control for jumping on people or diggling holes (etc.) seems to work if you are watching all the time. Not as impressed with it as it sometimes doesn't seem to piick up the signal. Also the directions are nonexistent.

After much research, we are SO HAPPY we chose this product over the traditional in-ground fences! No worries about ruining any wires when we aerate the lawn or do our landscaping... It's a very flexible, cost-effective solution and it works GREAT for our very feisty 2-year-old Schnauzer mix. We keep the collar on the lowest correctional setting and to tell you the truth, at this point he probably doesn't even need the correction -just hearing the warning beep is enough for him. He immediately turns around and gets closer to the house when he hears the beep. It only took one or two days for him to figure out his boundaries. At first he was a little afraid to go outside at all, but within less than a week he was happily playing outside in the "pet area" of the yard. Only drawback to this product is that there's no "safe gate area" where you can exit the circular pet area. (So we just take the receiver collar off our dog and put on his regular collar when we want to exit the yard to take him for leash walks.) Highly recommend this product.

Pet Tag Pro Remote Control Dog Trainer, Black

Pet Tag Pro Remote Control Dog Trainer, BlackWe recently adopted a second dog, a 2 year old Brittany Spaniel mix. She is a sweetheart, but we've had some training issues with her prey drive (birds, mostly), barking too much and not consistently coming when called. We have an upcoming trip that makes these issues dangerous for her. I am ADAMANTLY opposed to shock collars on dogs, but when I stumbled on the Pettags Dog Trainer and read that it only uses vibration and sound, I thought I'd try. It's been amazing! Our new dog has done a complete 180 with her problem behaviors! Our older dog has always been a problem barking at the neighbors at the back fence, so I tried the collar on her today. Two or three sound corrections with a "NO!" when she barked and she immediately stopped barking and stayed away from the fence. The collar had worked on our Brittany so well that even though she wasn't wearing it at the time, the sound effect and command still worked to keep HER from barking. I'm thrilled. This is an amazing product when used responsibly and properly with verbal commands and lots of praise. I have two new dogs. Love it!

I purchased 1 from Amazon, opened it, charged it, but the vibration never worked rightit would stutter and never vibrate with the same consistency. It is impossible to train a dog with this collar when the vibration is not consistent.

So I sent it back to Amazon to exchange for a new one. I open the new one, charge it for about 8 hours, but it doesn't hold the charge. So I am in worse shape now. Will not be getting a third. This product is cheap, flimsy, and poorly crafted.

I bouoght this collar months ago and have used it with three very different dogs and had positive results with all three. This collar is NOT meant to be a substitution for proper TRAINING it is meant to be a very handy aid in achieve results in TRAINING. This is NOT a stand-alone anti-barking collar. When you are WORKING with and TRAINING your dog not to bark this is a very effective, and reasonably priced, tool for helping you TEACH your pet acceptable behavior. The design of this product is not neccesarily for a dog training for field or retrieving but is a great starter step before needing to step up to longer ranged, waterproof, and generally tougher remote collars. I felt the need to add my positive review because I do see several reviews that complain that this is either a cheap or ineffective product, I feel differently. I appreciate that I did not need to INVEST in a more expensive collar to get some assistance from this product in reminding my dogs how to behave properly, and it has worked as expected.

I was excited about a non-shock collar for my 85lb. dog to use at the dog park. She likes to run from me when it's time to go. We had borrowed a Petsafe training collar from a friend that had a shock on it, but she responded to the alternative beep very well. So it was great to see a product without a shock, since we did not need it. Upon the arrival of the product, I watched the instructional DVD. After charging the collar, the light on it turned green and it was ready to use. The collar did not stay charged and both products seemed to be made of flimsy cheap plastic. I suppose that is why it was so inexpensive as compared to the others. I have returned it and will shell out the money for a Petsafe, because at least I know those work. Buy at your own risk.

PoochieBells EcoFriendly Bark Brown Bamboo Webbing Dog Potty Training Doorbell

PoochieBells EcoFriendly Bark Brown Bamboo Webbing Dog Potty Training DoorbellWe recieved the wrong color, but that was fine.

Trying to train the puppy is a headache, though. He uses the bells when he wants to go outside to play, rather than when he needs to pee. Sometimes he does this right after he pees on the floor. :(

Some days are maddening with the constant banging of the bells. I would think this might be better with an older dog that is not full of such energy.

Also, the door is getting very scratched up. It is almost like this teaches the dog to jump on the door.

I ordered this product in brown. Unfortunately when I received it, the ribbon was green but the little bag that it came in said brown. I contacted Poochie Bells about this issue also.

We bought this harness for our large (120 pounds) Bullmastiff. He loves it! He loves putting it on, (probably because he knows a walk will follow,) and he has stopped pulling when we walk. This is a wonderful product. It is sturdy and very easy to get on and off.

I have used harnesses on my dogs for many years. The Dean & Tyler All Weather Dog Harness is the best harness I have ever found. The construction and materials are excellent. I have never found a harness of this caliber at any of the brick and mortar pet stores. I particularly like the small handle at the back of the harness for extra control if needed. Highly recommended!

I bought this harness after reading the awesome reviews from other dog owners who had 100+ lb dogs with the intention of using it for both walking and running. The first day after our first short jog I noticed a line of matted fur where the bottom strap goes across his belly. I figured maybe being a new strap it just irrated the area a little so we used his regular neck leash for walks the rest of the day. The next day after our jog when I took off the harness and hung it up I noticed him licking the bottom strap. After taking a closer look at it I realized it was blood. Obviously I immediately examined his belly and found that the strap had rubbed his skin so raw that his was bleeding all the way across his belly in the exact size and shape where the bottom strap was.

I've never had any problem like this with any other harness. My dog is completely normal with no sensitivity issues and the harness was definitely put on correctly and not too tight. I'm not a marathon runner or anything and these were both short 2-3 mile slow jogs so it's not like I ran so long that it was bound to happen.

This is going to be my first item ever returning with Amazon so I don't know how easy that process will be but I recommend saving yourself the time and pain your dog could possibly go through and maybe explore other harness options.

Want Dean and Tyler DT Dog Harness, Black With Yellow Trim, X-Large - Fits Girth Size: 34-Inch to 47-Inch Discount?

I bought this harness for my 2.5 year old Newfoundland who is about 165 lbs. We both absolutely love this harness. It is built very well: strong and sturdy. It also looks very sharp on him.

It is not a harness meant to reduce pulling while walking, but I use it for when he is on a long lead outside. Having a D ring on the top of the harness has seemed to help in keeping him from tangling the rope up in his legs. I will definitely be buying another if this one ever gives out.

It seems to be very comfortable for him and I have not noticed any rubbing or chaffing on him from wearing it. It also has more room for a larger dog of needed, which would be very few breeds.

Great product!

Tattle Tale - Vibration Pet Trainer

Tattle Tale - Vibration Pet TrainerMy smart springer spaniel used to sneak on the couch at night but after hearing this beep a couple of times she knew she was "caught". I left it on the couch for a couple of weeks to reinforce her behavior and have not had to use it since.

As a bonus, the device (set on high) would also pick up on her bark and go off. I set it on a window sill that the dog looked out of and now she no longer barks as stray dogs, passers-by, etc.

My only complaint about the device is that there is no way to turn it off without it going off.

I was very hopeful that this product would keep my two cats off our dining room table. Nothing has worked in the past -neither sprays of water, nor aluminum foil, nor scolding them, nor citrus smells -nothing.

Here's what happened when I set up the Tattle Tale alarm. Cat 1 jumps on the table. The alarm (which lasts only 2 seconds and is relatively quiet -my microwave beep is louder than this) sounded. Cat 1 is on guard at first, then curious. He walks over to it. The "alarm" remains silent, even though it's supposed to be sensitive to any and all movement. Cat 1 swipes at alarm. It sounds and stops. He swats again, and it sounds and stops again. Then, he walks around the table for a while while the alarm sits silently. Finally, he curls up for a nap on one of our placemats about 4 inches away from it. Cat number 2, intrigued by the sound, hops up on the table. The alarm sounds. She goes over to it. Although she's sniffing it, prancing around the table, and stretching, it doesn't sound again. So she curls up for a nap as well. And there I am, watching the "Tattle Tale" oversee the afternoon siesta of the two felines it was supposed to scare off.

My guess is that it's not sensitive to most of the vibrations caused by cats' paws and that the 2-second, relatively soft sound of the alarm is not frightening enough to scare cats away. Even cats more skittish than mine, I imagine, could easily tolerate the benign beep eminating from this device.

Don't waste your money. I burned $6 on shipping and now have to pay a 25% restocking fee. And the cats are still on the table.

Well, this does emit a loud piercing sound, but only for a few seconds...long enough to make the dogs and cats look around, but as soon as they get a bit bothered, the sound quits. I think that this product might work IF it beeped longer. It was a total waste of money for me. Now I'm just passing it around the office as a prank...it's a hoot to use at work as a joke on unsuspecting coworkers.

It sounds like a description of a bad date: Hypersensitive and shrieks at the slightest disturbance. But for this product, that's just what you want. (Anybody who thinks theirs is quiet probably just needs a fresh battery!) It's a fairly simple device. My cats hate it, even though they're not the reason I bought one -I'm using it as an automated warning to my kids that they're playing too rough near my computers.

For my purposes, it would be especially useful if there was an adjustment not just for low or high sensitivity, but for vibration frequency for which it sounds an alert. Motion with a high frequency (like touching it) sets it off, but I can rock the shelf its on without setting it off. To use a water analogy, it's like the difference between the ripples coming out from a pebble thrown into a lake versus ocean waves, and I need sensitivity for the latter. Having that sort of adjustment would earn this more stars from me, but for its intended purpose it seems to work excellently.

My dogs quickly learned that if they carefully got on the couch that they might not trip the alarm. So I attached the Tattle Tale to a Yard stick with adhesive Velcro and now it is the best. No more dogs on the couch!!!! YEA!

EZwhelp Washable Whelping & Puppy Pad 17" x 20"

EZwhelp Washable Whelping & Puppy Pad 17' x 20'I was definitely skeptical about a washable puppy pad, but it has completely made me a believer. I have a 4-month-old Shih Tzu with a microscopic bladder and we live in an apartment, so even though I take him out every hour, accidents still happened. As soon as I put this pad down, he began using it and hasn't gone anywhere else in the house. The best part is that there are no stains or wet marks about three minutes after. It's just super absorbent and super awesome. And the best part? It's cheap! I shudder to think about how much people spend on the disposable pads when they could have something high-quality. It's also slightly larger than the disposable pads, which is nice because, well, sometimes aim is tricky with these things...

We've had these for a while now and, for the price, you cannot beat these pee pads! We have a little Chihuahua who uses pads for going to the bathroom, and we've paid a lot more money for pads that are about the same.

I like that they are brown in color. Others we've had were white and you can really see the urine all over the white ones. The brown hides the pee a little better!

They've held up great in the washer, and I'd definitely buy them again when it comes time to replace our current ones.

Have two 6 Month old Morkies, and these are perfect for housetraining our little guys. Wash in hot water with detergent and Vinegar. They will be good as new.

I'm not gonna say I love this product, cuz who really loves having to touch a pee pad? I know I certainly do not. However this is my favorite of the pads I have used thus far because a) its the second most absorbent pad I have used thus far (including throwaway pads) b) its reusable and c) its brown, so no unsightly pee stains.

I have a dog that thinks everything is a chew toy and if given the opportunity will run around the room with her pads, so I have a plastic snap into place plastic holder that I bought from Walmart. for the most part this pad fits into place.

Also we have used a scent spray to teach our little booger Bailey where to pee from the get go. We currently only have one reusable pad (I am actually buying more this week) but to make an easy transition on the days we use this one I just spray our scent and she uses it just fine. She likes it better than the current reusable pads we have because the pee is absorbed better. Obviously if you are not using any scent and your pet went through regular house-training without it, you may have to retrain them when you buy it, since it does not look like the regular white ones and they may be confused, but that is with ANY time a new type of pad is used.

Since we live on the top floor of an apartment building, being trained to go outside would be silly. Our dog is little (has a little bladder) and I imagine I would be running outside with a dog peeing on me if I even tried that. This pad helps with the option to go inside.

Also when I did go to change the pad I was amazed because pee did not drip everywhere like I thought it would. the pad held it in really well. So for the gross idea of a product it is, it is very effective, and I will buy it again.

I just ordered one pad to try out. My 9 month old Yorkie was trained on disposable pads (she never goes outdoors) and I wasn't sure she'd take to it. She immediately did. I like that the stains don't show on the brown cover (I had to look twice to see if she'd used it). And there was virtually no odor unlike with the disposable pad. We used this pad all day where I might go through 2 or 3 disposables a day. It washed up nicely with no odor.

Red Dingo Dog Lead, Large

Red Dingo Dog Lead, Large, Mid-BlueI love this leash! I like that it is adjustable and I think the padded strap is super. I bought two ;)

This leash is a good width for handling a larger dog, and the handle is very comfortable. It has held up well against my dog pulling me down the street after squirrels :) My only complaint is that the clip is very heavy. It tends to weigh down the martingale collar I use and would probably hurt if it was banging into your dog as he walks. But the clip is definitely solid construction.

Buy Red Dingo Dog Lead, Large Now

Very pleased with this leash/lead. Ordered two for hiking with my Huskies and I found the leashes to be very well made and extremely comfortable. The padded handle does not chafe and is very comfortable. The clip opens wide to accept large harness attachment loops, unlike others that I've ordered here on Amazon and subsequently returned. The length is ideal, keeps the pups close (larger dogs, mind you... 50+lbs), but out of the range of your feet at a hiking gait. Thickness and construction are really nice, offering the needed peace of mind... not worried about disconnects or failure when holding back an excited Husky.

Dean and Tyler Wire Basket Muzzle, Size No. B1 - Small Boxer

Dean and Tyler Wire Basket Muzzle, Size No. B1 - Small BoxerI bought this muzzle to stop our 40 pound Am Staff mix from eating 'stuff' in the yard. On one of the side straps, the leather split around the rivet leaving the muzzle useless. The leather gets very thin on the ends of both of the side straps, a serious design flaw. A dog with any level of determination will break this muzzle in no time. For this price...very disappointing!! If you need a serious muzzle, keep shopping!

Muzzle is sturdy and good quality. Still in the introduction phase with my pit bull- treats for putting her nose in it. Going very slowly as she is wary but hope to be able to use when I have house guests this summer.
