Potty training a miniature dachshund in an apartment has NOT been easy. Even on walks outside she's too busy sniffing around to be bothered to stop and relieve herself. I thought if I could just get a patch of grass on the balcony, she would have her own potty area all to herself and *maybe* I could steam clean a little less.

I ordered a grass from a different source here on Amazon and it was ok. A few dollars more, the box was a bit bulky and it was very messy. Dachshunds dig... and boy did she ever. While she did start using it to relieve herself, I still had to steam clean all of the dirt she dragged in from it. I saw the DoggieLawn has an organic mat instead of soil so I thought I'd give it a try.

The one thing that could be better from this company is shipping info. I never got that so I had no idea when to expect delivery or by who. Living in a secured entrance apartment I need to know these things so I know who to keep an eye out for or if I need to leave a note at the entrance.

Still, I came home from work one night and there it was at my doorstep. Whoever the delivery service is, they got into the building and left it for me in a good location. The box opened up super easy, just pull the top off and it's ready to place outside. The grass was very nice, lush, green and attractive to the pets. The cat loves sitting on it, the dog loves peeing on it. It's a win-win.

I've had it for 3 weeks and it now needs replacing so I've ordered another. I do wish they had a monthly subscription service rather than bi-weekly.

I looked into getting a product like this before but the wood box it came in was too heavy. Doggie Lawn is wonderfulit's light, clean, and easy-to-use. I take my dogs for walks often but as they get older, I'd like to have an option for them on the balcony in case they need to go urgently or for days that they are not feeling good.

Both dogs love it and they seemed happy and amused to have a little lawn on the balcony. I highly recommend this product.

I wanted this to work. I just KNEW it was the answer. When it finally arrived, it was all yellow and sad from being in the dark so long. It never did recover. My dog wouldn't use it, but she's kinda 'special', so I can't really say its the grass' fault. But she LOVES To dig in it and get the DIRT everywhere!!

The description reads: "Grass is hydroponically grown so there's no dirt, just soil and grass"

What does that even mean? Ok. So she gets SOIL all over the place.

When I adopted my puppy Toby, a Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier, in July, 2011, artificial grass was the only game in town. I started out with Potty Patch As Seen on TV, Small, Color:Green and then upgraded to New! Ingrass Puppy Potty Bigger & Deeper Now! Free Spray Bottle of Puppy Attraction Aid Spray 22" X 32" Indoor Outdoor. In fact, I wrote a very positive review of the Ingrass product, viewable at the above link.

I used artificial grass for close to a year, initially for training, and then for convenience. I installed a doggie door that leads to an outdoor deck. The issues of artificial grass are well-documented in reviews. For me, maintaining artificial grass was time-consuming and somewhat gross. I used potty pads between the artificial grass and the draining tray, almost obligatory. Otherwise you have the task of pouring urine from a large shallow rectangular into a container. Every other day, I donned rubber gloves, removed the grass, squeezed the urine out of the potty pad before disposing of it, rinsed off the artificial grass in the bathtub which then had to be disinfected, then laid down a new pad, the grass, and finally disposed of the rubber gloves. Particularly on hot days, fumes would waft from the artificial grass onto my porch or into my living room. For the dog, the experience is akin to using a "porta-potty" every time you have to go, and dogs have many more olfactory receptors than humans to take in the experience.

As soon as I learned of the DoggieLawn product, I purchased a 24" x 24" piece of real grass on Amazon. It was delivered in an attractive Pizza-like Box and Toby immediately took to it. With real grass, there are no fumes and no upkeep other than watering it every so often. The urine dissipates organically. It just works. Depending on the time of year (I live in northern California), the grass starts to turn brown in sections after 5-10 days. This is to be expected. The good news is that the dog doesn't care. As far as Toby is concerned, it's like new.

I upgraded to the 24"x 48" piece and went on a monthly subscription with DoggieLawn which lowers the cost. This option is only available on their website. The larger piece retards aging/death of the grass by dissipating the urine over a larger area. Concentrated urine kills the grass.

If you are only potty training your dog for only a month or so, the advantages of using DoggieLawn over artificial grass are self-evident. DoggieLawn is cheaper as a one-time purchase and it's the real thing. It has no lingering noxious smell, requires no pads and no janitorial conscription. I have a high-rise apt with a balcony and a 40 lb. labradoodle. I used to order a grass patch that I picked up and put on a plastic base. It was DISGUSTING to clean the base part and annoying to have to pick up the grass patch. I needed these for my cat who had major surgery and needed to keep the area clean and free from him licking. but there was no product for cats. I used this one because it was for small dogs. it is his size but the whole was too close so he still managed to get the pee out the whole. other than that, it reminds me of Huggies and I really liked the absorbancey.

PetSafe Agility 3' Closed Tunnel

I was having trouble with my 32# English Cocker with a fear of going thru the closed part of the tunnel in class. I got this up in minutes and before to long he was charging thru it like a champ. I can handle the tunnel by myself and it is easy to put up and take down.

I just purchased this for my Basenji Terrier and it took a short while for him to 'get it'. I used positive reinforcement training methods and incorporated it with Cesar Milan's methods and it worked great. I also purchased the Petsafe ring jump and he loves that, too. The PetSafe Agility closed tunnelor shoot is a little flimsey and is too long-

the dog gets caught in it. I folded the tunnel back some and it works bette.

The actual AKC standard shoot is actually much shorter than this is.

It will be ok for practicing in the yard.

My year-old small 9 pound terrier rescue pup is full of energy! The tunnel was originally purchased for those days that we were housebound to run off some of that energy, but she loved it so much that we signed up for agility classes. She plays with the tunnel whenever it is available. When I forget to compress the tunnel flat and put back into the handy carrier (which I love!) after a play session, I can find the pup curled up and asleep inside the tunnel with a favorite soft toy. Rogz Grinz Treat Ball Dog Toy, Medium Blue

They really should of included the strongest of the ball. My dog did not play with it cause the rubber was to tough. It could almost knock the poor guy out. So I just gave it to the neighbors.

The dogs love to play with this ball, it has a hole in the back so it makes it hard to get them to hold it still to take a good picture but if you get one it's great

These balls are a great novalty, but not chew proof. They don't pass the Lab test. I have a labrador, she was able to get her teeth into the hole and rip it apart.

I love this leash! I like that it is adjustable and I think the padded strap is super. I bought two ;)

This leash is a good width for handling a larger dog, and the handle is very comfortable. It has held up well against my dog pulling me down the street after squirrels :) My only complaint is that the clip is very heavy. It tends to weigh down the martingale collar I use and would probably hurt if it was banging into your dog as he walks. But the clip is definitely solid construction.

Very pleased with this leash/lead. Ordered two for hiking with my Huskies and I found the leashes to be very well made and extremely comfortable. The padded handle does not chafe and is very comfortable. The clip opens wide to accept large harness attachment loops, unlike others that I've ordered here on Amazon and subsequently returned. The length is ideal, keeps the pups close (larger dogs, mind you... 50+lbs), but out of the range of your feet at a hiking gait.
