This dog is extremely intelligent and well trained, yet on a leash she pulls, lunges, and has herself choking (both with a regular collar and a harness). We have a crazy Great Dane puppy we should have gotten this for moooonths ago. We waited until he reached 170 lbs at 11 months old. Good idea right? Anyway, this collar is a MIRACLE! It literally worked on the first walk. I am NOT kidding. He would drag me and my husband everywhere before. Where he wanted to go...we went. Now he is the best walking dog on our block. I have these for both my dalmation and my rat terrior who like to pull, putting these leaders on makes an instant change. My dogs don't love them but they are walking 90% better than before. I am hoping that after long enough on these they will form good habits and I won't have to use them. It was really a must have to get them to stop pulling!

Thundershirt Dog Anxiety Treatment

Our older dalmation has severe thunderstorm anxiety. She shivers, hides, pants, and whines. It is terrible! I was another skeptical shopper, but willing to try the Thundershirt after reading about it in my Yahoo group. Some people in the group were getting good results.

I am happy to say that we have also had good results. Now, that doesn't mean it's an instant and 100% cure. It has lessened our dog's anxiety during storms by about 75%. She is still anxious, but she doesn't tremble, pant, whine, or hide. She will still pace some, but mainly she just lays down and looks unhappy until the storm is over. So it's a huge improvement.

I read another review about how tight the shirt is, so much so the reviewer worried about the product's safety. All I can say is that I think they bought the wrong size. We adjust the shirt so that it is snug, not tight. Our dog didn't like the shirt at first, and looked at us like we had lost our minds when we put it on her the first time. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical about how well this shirt would work for our 11 year old black lab mix, Mollie. She has ALWAYS been deathly afraid of thunder when a storm blows up, she paces, pants, trembles uncontrollably, and is just generally very, VERY anxious. We could never provide her much solace, even in our laps. But, I had seen a wonderful movie on HBO called "Temple Grandin" starring Claire Danes in the title role. Anyway, early in the movie, while spending a summer as a teenager at an aunt's cattle ranch for the summer, she observed that the cattle were calmed when placed in a holding device called a "squeeze chute" that pressed in on them tightly. She was fascinated by it, and her aunt allowed her to try it out. Finding that it calmed her nervousness dramatically, she built a smaller-sized version for herself that she used while in college and beyond.

Remembering this from the movie, I decided to get a Thundershirt for Mollie. Well, let me tell you, it works wonders, at least for our Girl. In fact, it is thundering outside as I type this and Mollie, with her pink rugby-style Thundershirt on is laying calmly on the floor in her bed beside me. No panting, trembling or pacing. Oh, and as an aside, unlike some other reviewer's dogs, our Mollie has no problem moving around & relaxing when wearing her Thundershirt. The key, I think, is to be sure & order the correct size by measuring your dog around the deepest part of their chest. Doing this caused me to order one size larger than I would have guessed she needed. Also, don't put it on too tightly! Finally, while the material could cause her to be hot, we run the air conditioning in our house consistently at 72° and she is comfortable while wearing it.

We didn't buy our thundershirt for "thunderstorms". We read that the shirt was supposed to help ALL anxiety problems. We have a two-year old Lab/Golden Retriever mix. We love him to death, but since the day we got him (he was ten weeks old)he got very anxious whenever we had to leave him alone or take him for a drive. We recorded him on our webcam whenever we left. We would leave him kongs of frozen canned dog food or peanut butter, or any type of food that would take him a while to finish off. Once the food was eaten and he realized he was alone, he would start to pant, start crying, then start howling up toward the ceiling, calling for us. The crate just wouldn't work. We made it his "happy place" by putting toys and food in it. He happily goes into the crate to rest when we are home, but as soon as we left, he would howl, bark, and try to break out of the crate. What we did then was put a gate up and left him in the kitchen so that he had more room. The barking lessened, but he still did it. Whenever he laid down in the recorded videos we had of him, his head would be up and his ears would be back. Our main problem was when he barked, we didn't want him getting the neighbors angry...he has a LOUD bark, especially when he's anxious. We tried the thundershirt. We put it on him, he didn't try to chew it off or get uncomfortable. We recorded him with it on and we left for an hour. While in the shirt, he simply went next to the gate and laid down. After watching the whole video, he didn't bark a SINGLE time. That made us so happy that he felt like he was being hugged, so he didn't bark. The only thing I don't like is, as I said earlier, whenever we leave, we leave him food to work on in his kongs. Since we have had the shirt and we leave him, he seems to lose interest in his food. He just chills out and lays down with no barking. I like that he gets mellow, I guess that's what it's SUPPOSED to do, but for our extremely food-motivated dog to NOT touch his food when we put him in the thundershirt is odd. I don't know, it just seems like he's drugged or something while in the thundershirt. It doesn't hurt him, his personality just gets really mellow which is what you want if you don't want your dog to be anxious during stressful times for them. I would recommend if you are using this shirt for crate training or seperation anxiety, record your pooch while you are gone and see how he reacts when you aren't there. It was just nice to see that this shirt is not JUST for thunderstorms. If the shirt doesn't work, then return it with the money-back guarantee.

Purchased this for my miniature schnauzer who is a worrier, not because of thunder. She likes to get worked up in the evening about the people walking the neighborhood, bunnies in the yard, the cat, etc. She ends up running from window to window like a loon, whining and shrill barking. Put the thundershirt on and she stops dead. She will literally freeze. I pick her up, settle her on the couch, and she falls asleep almost instantly. Take the shirt off and she's normal again. It seems to be a lot like swaddling an infant. It's essentially a t-shirt with Velcro, but something about it does the trick.

Overall this is a good product. When assembling, I ended up having to superglue the peices together to make it hamster safe. (Make sure to air it our for a few days!) Now, my hamster sleeps in it, stores his food in it, and even manages to stuff all the extra space with bedding, which is quite amusing being he has to carry it up a tube mouthful by mouthful. The rubber loops that attach to the tubes are also compatable with the Critter Trail Tube Extensions, so this playground can be put in or out of the main cage. I wouldn't suggest using it as a main cage however, it would be to small. Also, the main pannels I recieved were not clear as in the picture, so its a little harder to see your pet when he is in it. (check out the customer images to see my design :)

This can be a little feisty to put together the first time, but once you get the hang of how the pieces snap together, it's easy. My hamsters absolutely adore the creations I've put together for them using this set. And best of all, the tunnels you can build are big enough for a full-grown adult Syrian hamster to use with ease!

I bought this product and was not happy at all with it..for one it costs to much for what little bit you get..it took me an hour to get it together. I would not recommend this product. My hamsters keep getting out of it..it is very cheap made and I did not like it when I got it..it keeps falling apart.

This product does what is described. It beeps and shocks at barking dogs. However, if one dog barks near the dog with the anti-bark collar, the collar beeps and then shocks. In very short order as the barking intensifies, so does the shock. I would NEVER leave a dog alone with this collar on, nor would I leave him with another dog with the collar on. It's a great device, though, with careful use. Customer service department is excellent.

Works well but a bit too sensitive and I wish the battery would last longer than a week. My dog hates it but my neighbors love it. That is sort of the point isn't it.

Amazon also sells batteries to go with this that are not compatible, so we've overpaid for something that doesn't work. Live and learn. ;-}

Working fairly. A bit unreliable, though. Beeps when the dog shakes, and does not increase its stimulation level when the dog continues barking. It just keeps beeping, and it does not deter my dog so much. Works fairly well, but not all the way through.

The picture looks as if they are metal strong flags....they are plastic and break very easily. If you are looking to have them last more than a day and if you are putting them into dirt that is hard in anyway, they won't last or will break going in. I bought them for invisible fence flags to mark an area and it is worth the money to buy invisible fence flags or ones that are actually metal and made to last.

I was a little disappointing with the plastic posts and a bunch of the flags were melted together for some reason, but the flags worked just fine. At least the plastic posts won't get rusty. They just aren't as durable as some others.

I have a blue-heeler-corgi mix and she's basically been untrainable with major behavioral issues. She is hyper beyond hyper and even with long walks and runs, there is no stopping her. This was used as a last resort and I cannot be more pleased. I was desperate because nothing was working for my dog. It has helped me teach her basic commands and even helps with walking on the leash (which was a nightmare before). It comes with both short and long prongs (I use the longer prongs because she has long hair). I like how there are a hundred different levels. On the shock part, I have only used up to a 10 level. She usually gets the point at 5, but there are instances where 5 just wasnt cutting it. There have been a couple of slight whimpers when she does get shocked, but no burns on the skin or anything extreme like skin irritation or loud yelps. She usually just 'hits the deck' when she gets shocked. I love how this thing also has a vibrate setting. I use it as a warning shot, or something to break her attention when she's overly focused on something. It has 100 settings for the vibration feature as well. It also has a noise feature, which is a honk-buzz type of noise. Its a great deterrant for when she is messing with things she is not supposed to touch (like shoes). It comes with a really bright LED light as well. The collar is adjustable, but if my dog was any smaller than 35 pounds, Im not sure it would fit her too well. She doesnt seem to mind it though. It is bulky looking, but doesnt seem to interfere with playing, sleeping, eating, etc. The only complaint I have about this thing is that you have to constantly reprogram it (if it loses signal, batteries die, drop the remote and the batteries of that pop out, etc.) and it kind of eats triple A batteries. Make sure to hold onto the instructions. Purchase some rechargable batteries while you are at it. Overall, great price. Great product. And it has kinda restored sanity in my home. :)

Bought this to help controll barking. The item seemed to be well built however after two weeks the power for the remote went dead and replacement battires are not of a standard size or make like aaa or aa or 9volt

I waited to use the item so returning it was not an option.

This is a very cute collar with a pattern fit for a princess. Easy to clasp on and off the collar and has never come undone (i have had other types of closure leads slip off collars) For the price I feel the lead is pretty good quality-only showing slight wear after 3 months of use (a tiny bit of fraying on the edges). This is only the second muzzle I've owned. I have a 4 1/2 year old Golden Retriever, and after a little "incident" with another, smaller dog in my apartment complex, I decided to start putting a muzzle on whenever I take her out. I say this so that you understand she hasn't grown up wearing muzzles at all.

The first muzzle I got was a different one from Dean & Tyler, and while the quality was great, it fit too snug around her snout to allow her to open her mouth and pant. Not only can this become bad for dogs (if left like that for extended periods, not being able to pant causes over-heating in dogs), but she hated it with a passion and constantly tried pulling the muzzle off. I figured she just wasn't used to having to wear one.

Then I found out about the DT Freedom line of muzzles. I bought this muzzle to replace the regular DT muzzle I had, when I saw that it was designed to let them open their mouths and pant. I bought this muzzle about 6 months ago. I have a 'mutt' dog of little known origin, so measuring was an absolute must for this product, though I strongly recommend you measure twice for any dog! I originally got the pitbull female size, and it was way too big for my dog. I had been using a cloth grooming muzzle for a while as my dog is fearful and will attack dogs when they get to close to him. However, the cloth muzzle was very uncomfortable and my dog was constantly trying to get it off. It also rubbed away some of his fur on his snout, which was unsightly and obviously itchy/painful for the dog. I was slightly skeptical about how well my dog would keep the Dt Freedom on, but amazingly he has never once tried to get it off! That being said, it would not be particularly hard for him to pull off if he wanted to do so. This might be because he was hard to fit. There is no more rubbed off fur. The best thing about this muzzle is that it really does let him open his mouth, drink, pant, etc. It also lets him go through the motions of snapping, thus letting us correct the behavior (he now rarely snaps). The only thing I would change about it is how well it stays on. I have considered adding a strap that goes around the dog's neck like a collar so that it could not come off if he wanted it to. This would make me feel more comfortable taking him to a dog park for socialization. This really is a great muzzle for everyday, long term use!

I was definitely skeptical about a washable puppy pad, but it has completely made me a believer. I have a 4-month-old Shih Tzu with a microscopic bladder and we live in an apartment, so even though I take him out every hour, accidents still happened. As soon as I put this pad down, he began using it and hasn't gone anywhere else in the house. The best part is that there are no stains or wet marks about three minutes after. It's just super absorbent and super awesome. And the best part? It's cheap! I shudder to think about how much people spend on the disposable pads when they could have something high-quality. It's also slightly larger than the disposable pads, which is nice because, well, sometimes aim is tricky with these things...

We've had these for a while now and, for the price, you cannot beat these pee pads! We have a little Chihuahua who uses pads for going to the bathroom, and we've paid a lot more money for pads that are about the same.

I like that they are brown in color. Others we've had were white and you can really see the urine all over the white ones. The brown hides the pee a little better!

They've held up great in the washer, and I'd definitely buy them again when it comes time to replace our current ones.

Have two 6 Month old Morkies, and these are perfect for housetraining our little guys. Wash in hot water with detergent and Vinegar. They will be good as new.

I'm not gonna say I love this product, cuz who really loves having to touch a pee pad? I know I certainly do not. However this is my favorite of the pads I have used thus far because a) its the second most absorbent pad I have used thus far (including throwaway pads) b) its reusable and c) its brown, so no unsightly pee stains.

I have a dog that thinks everything is a chew toy and if given the opportunity will run around the room with her pads, so I have a plastic snap into place plastic holder that I bought from Walmart. for the most part this pad fits into place.

Also we have used a scent spray to teach our little booger Bailey where to pee from the get go. We currently only have one reusable pad (I am actually buying more this week) but to make an easy transition on the days we use this one I just spray our scent and she uses it just fine. She likes it better than the current reusable pads we have because the pee is absorbed better. Obviously if you are not using any scent and your pet went through regular house-training without it, you may have to retrain them when you buy it, since it does not look like the regular white ones and they may be confused, but that is with ANY time a new type of pad is used.

Since we live on the top floor of an apartment building, being trained to go outside would be silly. Our dog is little (has a little bladder) and I imagine I would be running outside with a dog peeing on me if I even tried that. This pad helps with the option to go inside.

Also when I did go to change the pad I was amazed because pee did not drip everywhere like I thought it would. the pad held it in really well. So for the gross idea of a product it is, it is very effective, and I will buy it again.

I just ordered one pad to try out. My 9 month old Yorkie was trained on disposable pads (she never goes outdoors) and I wasn't sure she'd take to it. She immediately did. I like that the stains don't show on the brown cover (I had to look twice to see if she'd used it). And there was virtually no odor unlike with the disposable pad. We used this pad all day where I might go through 2 or 3 disposables a day. It washed up nicely with no odor.
