This DVD was extremely well done, and it kept us all entertained! I received FLEA TV as a gift, and my dogs were thrilled! They ran around the TV, ears perked, barking, and looking for all the adorable dogs they saw on TV! It was beautifully filmed, and kept us waiting to see Blades' next adventure! I highly recommend this for anyone who has dogs or knows a dog owner. Furry FUN!!!

This did not capture my dogs attention at all. He is a herding breed so maybe a bunch of people or sheep running around would have been more interesting.

Dogmatic FreeLeash Hands-Free Leash System

I am a dog trainer by trade and I own four dogs of my own. I loved the idea of this leash, also because I hoped to get extensions so that I could have all four of my dogs on the same belt and still have my hands free.

Well after purchasing this and trying it out on just one of my dogs I realized that I'm not so pleased with it. The elastic stretches so much that the dog almost comes too far away from your waist.

The adjustment on the belt is not too high-tech and I had to make my own way to keep all the excess belt from dangling and being in the way.

I hate the bungee leash it comes with and ended up using one of my own personal leashes. The bungee allows too much freedom for the dog to "bounce" out and then back. It's more annoying than anything.

I may try the Buddy System and see how they compare. . . .

I liked the idea of what the hands free leash offered but it broke the second time i used it and my dog only weighs 19 pounds. The clips that hold it together aren't made of strong metal and with little tension and pull it snaped at the part that connects your dog to the belt. the belt is quite comfortable and it does have pockets to hold items which is nice. for this product to truly work you have to add your own little upgrads such as putting metal clips on.

1/6/10 Update: So only a couple days after writing this review the thing bit the dust. While jogging along at a rather slow pace I slipped and came to a complete stop and when my dog hit the end of the stretchy leash the metal plate that the swivel is attached to went flying off the belt and smacked into my dog. Like the belt buckle, the edges on this metal piece are pretty heavy/sharp and thanks to the bungy leash it hit him pretty hard. Thankfully my dog has a nice shaggy winter coat so no real harm was done, just freaked him and me out. I can no longer recommend this leash system at all. It could be incredibly dangerous if it had managed to hit him in the face/eye.

I actually picked this up at a discount store for less than 10 bucks, figured I wasn't going to be losing out a whole lot if it didn't work. I ended up chopping off a couple feet of the leash because I intend to use it with a dog coupler that is about 2.5 feet long and it would have been too cumbersome. I find the belt to be more comfortable when I fit it much lower than they are showing on the box; I keep it down on my hips. The clasp for the belt is a very heavy metal one and can be a bit sharp so you want to be careful when clipping it. So far I have found the velcro that adjusts the belt to be extremely strong but I've only been using this for a few weeks. It is nice that the leash clips off in case you need some extra control and the swivel keeps you from getting completely tangled. I have been using it with my two dogs who are about 70 and 80 pounds and haven't had any problems with the belt breaking away or swivels snapping as I've read in other reviews. I probably wouldn't recommend this for someone with a very unruly large dog.

I took my dog out for a run using the new Dogmatic Freeleash for the first time and was VERY disappointed. We didn't make it even a quarter of a mile before the front metal leash attachment completely snapped off and I had to call my dog back to me. I don't recommend this product to anyone who has a dog that will pull on the leash. Even a slightly tough tug and your dogs off and running which could really be dangerous! I don't think the claim the leash can hold a dog up to 80lbs. is true, my dog is only 54lbs. and it didn't hold up at all.

Pet Shoppe Dog Training Treat Game

My 10 week old Sheltie/Lab mix figured this out the first time we used it and it took her less than a minute to get all the treats out. My mom gave this to me thinking it would give me some peace and quiet when I'm trying to work from home, after previously using it often with her 1-year-old dog, who took quite awhile to figure it out. (Admittedly, her dog is a little "slow"... still can't figure out how to fetch or climb stairs at 2 years old, or maybe she's just not very motivated to do those things...)

My puppy does seem to enjoy playing the game and gets very excited when I take it out, but she goes through it so fast that it really doesn't give me much of a break, since she wants me to refill it every couple minutes. Overall, it seems very sturdy, looks nice, and I like that it's made of wood instead of plastic. We will probably keep using it until I find a game that is a little more challenging for her.

As you can tell from the 1st review on this item, Its obvious that it is not something for people who do NOT know how to use a choke chain. FYI: 1)It is not adjustable. Its not meant to be adjustable. Thats why they come in exact sizes. 2) It does not come with a clasp because its not meant to have a clasp. Its a choke and release collar. If it had a clasp, it wouldnt be able to do its job. Also, in order for it to work while you are walking the dog. You need to have your dog on your right side, in order for the collar to relase. When your dog is wearing the collar and you pull on the leash, if the collar makes the shape of a "q" then it is on the dog wrong and will not relase correctly. It needs to look like the letter "p" so the circle the of the letter "p" would represent the collar and the line of the letter "p" represents the leash. to get the collar to be a circle chain(like a necklace) instead of being a chain line, you have to fold the chain part and slide it all the way down through one of the rings and then the collar will be connected as a circle so you can put it on your dogs neck. And please do your dog a favor. Do not keep this collar choked up on the dog the whole time because you dont know how to walk a dog with a choke chain or a dog thats untrained. When you dog pulls you or doesnt listen. You give him alittle "check" by doing a quick firm pull to the leash which then gives the dog a quick choke up for get this attention and you do this everytime until he obeys it doesnt literally choke you dog when you do it. If its worn correct it will release immediately. To end, it a good collar and cute item. So measure you dogs neck and give alittle bit of room to allow you to put the collar on and off over the dogs head. Hope this was helpful for anyone who does not know how to use a choke chain.

I really liked this chain that I purchased for my French bulldog Babs. The only bad thing about it was when I received the chain it already had chipping of the pink paint which I was VERY DISAPPOINTED about!

Great bold color, nice heavy duty chain collar. The only minus on this is the paint is rubbed off in a few places, my guess wherever they had hanging to dry, either the paint didn't get in that area, or it rubbed off. Other than that, great collar. Easy to spot on dog, even at night!

I initially ordered this one size smaller and the quality was great. Reordered 1 size larger and a total of 5 of this type in different sizes and colors. Paint quality was not great. On 3 of them the paint must not have dried before they put it in the plastic hangers, as those three had very sharp paint edges sticking up. The colors are all beautiful (I ordered electric blue, candy apple red, bubble gum pink, purple, and lime green.) What a shame there isn't better quality control on this product. Incidently, as the length goes up; the the links are larger and much heavier. The 20 inch collar I bought is actually quite heavy a little too heavy, I think, for the gentler breeds.

Sporn Halter Red Medium

This is the second sporn collar that I have purchased. Both my dog and I think the collar are great. The collars are sturdy and my dog appears to comfortable wearing the halter. It has certainly helped reduce the amount of pulling he does, which is a good thing.

My 16 pound schnoodle (half schnauzer, half poodle)is aptly named Tiger because she is as strong as a tiger and I have tried many products to prevent her from pulling me down the street, giving me a sore arm as well. Some headgear helped briefly, but she hated them and spent most of her time trying to get them off instead of walking--until I got the Sporn halter, which is perfection. She walks nicely at my side without pulling now and our walks together are a highlight of our time together. Sporn also makes a mesh harness and that works just as well. Before I got my TreatToob, I was using a can of Cheese Whiz as a training aid to try to teach my dog how to use his nose to push things. They Cheese Whiz was clumsy, messy and rarely stuck to things. The Treat Toob is amazing! I filled it with peanut butter. The opening is very wide and when you remove the cap completely it's flexible enough to even fit a spoon or spatula through. I use the Toob to apply peanut butter to the pointer or item I want him to push and he's learning what it really means. It's also a very good reward following clicker training, since he can take a little lick as a reward and not have to chew a treat. I haven't tried cleaning it yet but it doesn't seem difficult.

I bought this on sale for about $14 instead of the full price of $30, and it was definitely worth the sales price. It is really nice to be able to see the dog at the park, since it gets dark so early. My only gripes are that the lights could be brighter (you really only see the individual lights, not the full stripe around the collar), and that it is too easy to turn off. The dogs play with each other and easily bump the button to turn the collar off. Still, several of us at the park we usually go to have them, and we are generally happy with them.

I bought this collar for night walks with my dog, but after just over 30 days (37 Days to be exact) the collar stop working i replaced the batteries twice with no luck. Don't buy this collar if you want a light up collar THAT WOULD LAST !!!!!!

I bought two of these collars and one broke in 2 weeks and the second broke in 3 weeks.

When they work they are great but expect the lighting to malfunction quickly. Hopefully if you do buy it, it will brake within the warranty. If not you've been warned.

Main Issues:

I have two small dogs, a beagle and a Lhasa Apso. Since LED collars are flat dogs with thinker bushier hair will tend to cover up the lights and become harder to see. On my beagle it was very visible but on my Lhasa Apso it was not as effective.

The flaw in their design seems to be that they double as a lighting device and have the leash connect to the device to restrain your dog.

I suspect over the course of a couple weeks the normal tension on the collar stretches it out causing breaks in the electrical connections. I noticed the problem when all but one LED lite up on the dogs collar but when I took it off and laid it flat (changing the tension and position on the connections) the others started to light up (not consistently though).

I have returned mine and I'm thinking about going with a lighted device that is round and is not used to do any restraining.

As our beloved dog has gotten older,, it has been increasingly more difficult to take him on the runs he so loves. We were constantly afraid he would wander off and get confused when we called him (once he did wander into a church service!). Now we feel much more secure as we can see Macgregor lighting up the park as he runs. Great product!
