I've been using this for a few weeks now and so far it's been working great. I prefer to have my dog walk off leash in the trails behind our house but my dog has been known to run off if he catches a scent or spots another dog from far away. So, this e-collar has been a great way to keep him at bay while still giving him the freedom to roam around away from me and sniff things to his delight. I love how the collar and remote are both rechargeable (it would've been nice if they provided two AC adapters I charge the remote one night and the next night I'll charge the collar). The waterproof design will come in handy when it rains

The remote does shut off after a few minutes without use. While walking, I'll check the remote every few minutes to make sure it's on and if not, press the mode button to wake it up. I wish the remote had one button for vibrate and another button for shock but instead, you have to cycle through the modes using the mode button. It's not hard to do since there are only four modes (shock, vibrate, chime and I'm not sure what the fourth one does...). So you just have to know what mode your remote is in and if you need to change it, you only have to press the mode button no more than 3 times (e.g. mine is usually on vibrate but sometimes I need to quickly change it to shock)

No real gripes about this item which is why I gave it 5 stars especially for the price. I wasn't about to spend $100 for an e-collar and this one does everything I need it to do

I have wonderful, sweet 5 month old pitbull. She is the perfect dog...well...almost. Her ONLY 2 flaws are the jumping and running to my neighbors yard. She's not aggressive in anyway and is super friendly with everyone. But I'm sick of her jumping. She jumps on people (bcuz she wants to kiss them or is curious with whatever you have in your hand, it was cute when she was little but she's growing soo fast), jumps on walls, jumps on my couch, jumps to see whats on the table, jumps to see whats on my counters and she starting to scratch up my cabinets :/. So I ordered this little device. I just got it today and it did say to charge the transimmiter as well as the receiver but I plugged it in for about 5 minutes each and slapped that collar on her. She kept going on my couch so I set the mode to vibrate and started at 10 (the intensity of the vibration can be increased or decreased, 1-100) I kept going up till she started to respond, I stopped at 50. She was very confused at first but eventually was starting to get it..."Every time I jump on this couch this stupid thing is going to drive me crazy". After 3 or 4 jumps on the couch she stopped. She would want to go on and I've caught her going for it but would stop and think about it and turn around. As for my cabinets, the same thing. I can tell she hates that little thing but I love it. I've tried everything and this is it. She just needs to feel a little uncomfortable and she learns quick. I tried the shocking setting on my forearm just to see how bad it was. At 8 you can feel it. I didn't bother going any higher. I don't plan on using the shock unless its some kind of emergency like shes running into the road and a car is coming and I need something to get her attention quick. I feel like the vibration is enough for her. There are 4 modes, Shock, Vibrate, Chime, and light. I used the charm to get her attention when I want her to come in the house. The light is only a little LED light inside of the receiver, I guess the only purpose it serves is if you press it you know that it's getting the signal without bothering your dog.

If I could rate it a 4-1/2 I would. The only thing that concerns me is how flimsy it feels. I feel like if I drop it (I've dropped both once already) it'll break (it hasn't broken yet :) ). When you take it out of the box and you hold it in your hand it feels like a toy. Another thing is that the transmitter shuts off after a few minutes. I wish it would turn on a little quicker for times when I need to get my pups attention quick.

Other than those two things this thing is great. If you have a dog that's at all like mine this will work like a charm for you. I'll update you if for some reason something goes wrong with this seeing as how I've only had it for 3 hours now. But so far it's been very effective. I hope this helps.

We have an 11 month old Beagle, who loves to bark (at nothing & everything) and was a bit defiant when we called him to come in at night. This collar has made a WORLD of difference! He use the beep or vibrate mode as a warning (if he's whining alot but not barking or not responding to the "come" command) & that usually gets his attention. If not a 1 second shock on level 25 gets him everytime. I don't think it really hurts him, just surprises him & let's him know we mean business.

1 It works & our dog responded with better behavior immediately!

2 I love that it's rechargeable, so I don't have to worry with batteries

CONS

The directions included stink!! But it's user friendly & you can easily figure it out on your own. The mode button turns it on, then changes it between shock, vibrate, beep, & light. The "Y" button on the right delivers the shock or vibrate. The intensity is controlled by the up/down button on the right side of the remote.

NOTEWORTHY-the vibrate & shock mode both have intensity levels. We didn't know that for the 1st few days & thought the vibrate mode didn't work, it does work we just had it on 0...oops.

I am pretty happy with this collar. I have it on my blue heeler who is half demon and the shock stops him in his tracks every time. The shock setting goes up to 100 so dont be afraid to turn it up. The vibration and beep settings are pretty worthless on him but may be effective on a smaller dog that is not as tough/evil lol. He's only a 30-40 lb dog but he would walk me and with this collar he is doing awesome! The rechargable setting is pretty cool so I dont have to go out and keep buying batteries for it. This dog absolutely loves the water and the collar still works so far. It does have two frequencies to set it too for the wireless remote. So far I'd recommend this collar.

the collar only goes to a 18"..so if you need bigger or smaller it will not work..more for the medium size dog.Wish they put this info on the listing...the clips on the receiver that hold it on the collar are terrible..they broke off within a few days..I still have not found it in the yard...very cheap...should be bolted to the collar like others...do not bother..get a better product..I did like the LED and no batteries though..

This Shock Collar was junk...it is in the trash now!! It wouldn't work properly so we took it apart. We found water damage inside. This was supposed to be a brand new item. We are very Disappointed to say the least!!!

I was very disappointed in this item, cheap garbage, wires come loose inside, it is not even damp proof. Any type of moisture and you can hang it up. Sucks the batteries dry within a ew days.

This is a great leash. The handle has a soft velour on the inside so it's comfy to hold. The straps are thick but light and the clips are wonderful. The open up in the middle like a clamp so they are easy to get on the collar or harness. The slides to adjust the length are great too. They are the kind that you lift the metal flap and slide the strap through so you can do it with one hand if you needed to. The thing I like about htis more than the coupler you add to your own leash is that by having it all in one (think of the letter Y) it feels more sturdy.

I have 2 small dogs but this is still too small for my shihtzus. They bump into each other a lot. I am going to try it hooking it to a harnass instead of their collars.

works exactly as discribed. Thought shock function didn't work but it needs to be turned up to about 5 before it's noticable. Using it to keep my 7 mo old standard poodle from running out the front door at the liquor store I work at. I've been terrified she'd end up a poodle pancake in the busy hwy my shop is on. The tone function is enough to distract her from distractions outside and distresses her enough that she comes behind the counter and lays down. Awsome.

I am writing this review with the caveat that I bought them about 2.5 weeks ago and with the purchase price on each individual bag at $9.00. I just looked and today, the same bag is $23 and change PLUS $12 shipping. Big difference.

I bought 3 of these as I was looking for made in the USA Dog Chicken treats with no additional by products and/or chemicals. The treats do smell more than others that have chemicals as they don't use anything to mask the treat. I have two cavalier spaniels and they love the treats. I am confident in giving these treats to my dogs and happy they are not at risk of getting sick from bad chicken jerky.

At $9 a bag, this is a great product. But with the price I just saw at what amounts to $35 for a single bag, I would not buy again. I probably would find the nearest petco or order the colorado chicken jerky from petco online for a chicken jerky with similar pure ingredients.

Lightest Long Line Ever: 25' Outdoor Line

I have access to a large yard but it's not fenced in. This lead lets my dog run around but gives me peace of mind since I can step on it to stop her from, say, chasing a cat out of the yard ;). It's great for teaching recall, too.

Edit: After reading another review I wanted to say that this is not meant as a tie-out! It's for supervised play and training. If you're looking for something as a tie-out you'll need a thicker material.

I purchased this item over a year ago. It has held up so nicely! It still looks brand new even though I use it often while walking my dog through open fields or letting her swim in the river while I stand on the shore holding the other end.

It's a good length and weighs practically nothing. When my dog drags this line through the mud, I just toss it in a mesh laundry bag, throw it in the washing machine, and hang it to dry. Good as new!

My 10 lb. mini-poodle chewed through the lead and nearly was hit by a car when I tried to catch him. Scared me to death. I've gone through two cable leads, they coil up a lot and the plastic coating doesn't last. Is there a another option for a small dog who loves to hang out outside? I've attached his lead to the inside next to the sliding patio door. He lets me know when he wants out. I hook him up and off he goes. I need a long lead that he can't chew through but isn't too heavy. I was hoping this was the answer but it was a near disaster. The nylon lead is very flimsy and only has a clasp at one end which is also small and flimsy.

I was somewhat disappointed with this extra collar I bought. The collar itself is narrower than the original that came with the transmitter and the battery life is much shorter. Though it does do what it's supposed to and the narrower collar makes it easier to distinguish which collar goes to which dog, I have my doubts about the longevity of the narrower collar because my borders play rough and are always grabbing each others collar.

Product delivered rapidly. Called customer service to help set it up as the manual could be confusing. Customer service was very helpful. Product performs as described.

I bought this for my Siberian Husky, since she needs to run...a lot. I figured I can't run as much as she needs, so I'd just let her pull me on my roller blades. The harness seems to be very well built, there are 3 rings to attach a lead from, one on the top and one on each side. It's just slightly too big for her though, even when tightened up as far as it goes. She's just over a year, and around 40lbs, I know she'll grow into it eventually. It has padding in every area that would rub on a dog, and she seems to love it. Had the harness for several weeks now, and I'm very satisfied.

Simple Solutions makes the (very useful) Male Wrap product that these are supposedly for, so it's unbelievable that these pads are so useless. I thought these would be large flat pads that fit the wrap; instead, these pads are just really cheap maxi pads that cover maybe a third of the "catch" area. For the same price you can get a much bigger pack of human incontinence pads, and they work a lot better.

If these pads totally covered the catch area, were a little thinner, were made with better quality (more absorbent) material, and cost about half as much, they'd be a winner. As it is, I have no idea what Simple Solutions was thinking putting this out.

I have a large lab mix and these pads are not even a quarter of the size I wanted. If you have a "large" dog, you are better of buying the largest pads made for bladder control.

Before I got my TreatToob, I was using a can of Cheese Whiz as a training aid to try to teach my dog how to use his nose to push things. They Cheese Whiz was clumsy, messy and rarely stuck to things. The Treat Toob is amazing! I filled it with peanut butter. The opening is very wide and when you remove the cap completely it's flexible enough to even fit a spoon or spatula through. I use the Toob to apply peanut butter to the pointer or item I want him to push and he's learning what it really means. It's also a very good reward following clicker training, since he can take a little lick as a reward and not have to chew a treat. I haven't tried cleaning it yet but it doesn't seem difficult.

I have 2 dogs and purchased this product because once our dogs get barking, it's difficult for us to get them to stop. We didn't want to use a bark collar because we want them to know it's ok to bark and alert us, but want them to learn when to stop. The first time I used this product I knew it was working. They went quiet immediately. They seem a bit apprehensive after they hear it each time, but you can tell it's not hurting them. We have only used it about 6 times, but it seems to already be starting to have a positive effect. This product definitely works, but it is up to the owner to use it in appropriate situations for it to be a successful training tool.

Total scam. I wanted to use this for some particularly annoying and vicious dogs that live next door (on the other side of my fence). It had absolutely NO effect. But to test it further I took it along on a walk with my daughter's dog in her neighborhood. We encountered numerous dogs of various breeds, sizes and temperaments behind fences. It had absolutely no effect on any of them. At one point, we were walking on a sidewalk where a lab was tethered near a front porch. I wrongly assumed the owner would have tethered the animal so it wouldn't have reached the sidewalk. Wrong. As the dog charged towards us, I needed this device to work! When it didn't, I quickly retreated to the street with my daughter's dog. Still, the lab came into the street towards us! Had it not been for a last second kick to the lab's chops, it would have bitten my daughter's dog...or me. I'm not sure if I was more upset with the lab's owner, or this bogus product.
