I have two very small dogs (under 10lbs each). I had to hang them on a suction cup on the door, instead of the handle, just for them to reach it. But they work well and the puppy is figuring it out. I'm happy with them!

Contrary to ad it was not easy to train my dog he still doesn't get the idea. In fact he shys away from it.

These training bells are very nice. The quality is excellent, the bells are much bigger than they look in the photo, and they are plenty loud when your dog noses or paws at them. Would purchase these again in a heartbeat.

I was hopeful that this would be the solution I needed to fully house train my dog. He's getting the idea of 'pottying' outside, he's just not consistent yet. What I didn't anticipate was that he would be afraid of the bells. Once I hung the bells on the door, he wouldn't walk past the door to go outside. As a result he chose to 'go' inside in order to avoid the door. So I had to remove the bells. He is still apprehensive of the door though the bells are gone. To be fair, I can see where this would work well for a dog who isn't a chicken like mine. So I didn't want to give less than 3 stars. If your dog doesn't shy away from loud sounds, give it a go!

This was a great tool for potty training our 3 month old black lab mix. It is convenient and our dog got the hang of it real fast. It also enabled us to know when he had to go when we were not in the room. Definitely a must for potty training. I feel the price-point is a little high for this item in my opinion, but couldn't find one anywhere else.
