Cute collar, easy to apply but my cat is able to remove it. He never goes out (it's a warning for the other cats in my house) so it's not critical that it stays on. Generally, he seems to enjoy wearing it; the collar is thin and has not caused any matting of fur. It's also very attractive!
Price was right.

SportDOG Plastic Dummy 3-Pack
Buy SportDOG Plastic Dummy 3-Pack Now
I have gone through more than a dozen of these from several makers/suppliers. My 21/2 year-old Black Lab loves these, but he destroys them within a month of daily use (one hour/day in the family pool). The black valves fall out in a few days and he eventually slashes the the orange body with his teeth until they won't float. A good but short-duration toy. My dog will insist that I buy more.I got the these thinking they would be a hard plastic, my dog played with one of those at the dog park and loved it. However, they are a soft rubber. My Lab is only 7 mos so we are still working on "drop it" with her. Threw it once, she brought it back, two chomps and she had completely bitten through the loop where the rope goes. Since the the loop is hollow and part of the main body of the toy, it can never be used in water as it will fill and sink. I will also never be able to attach a rope to it again unless I come up with a duct tape solution. Oh well, guess I have to wait until she learns "drop it" before I try with the other two. Will keep looking for one that is actually the hard plastic, she'll probably still kill it, but at least we will get more than one throw out of it.Good product made of quality materials. Holds up well and made of softer rubber than other bumpers. I will be buying more of these in the further.Sunday, September 15, 2013
PetProjekt Tretbon
This toy is hollow and constructed from approximately 3/8" rubber. When it arrived, it was a bit dirty and had some black markings on it (think like sole marks from sneakers on a gym floor. I thought this was just from shipping, so I washed it off and gave it to our 30 pound dog.
There is a cross shaped cutout on both ends that is designed to enable treats to be incorporated, but its serve as a weak point. Our dog quickly tore off all of the tabs in the area. After I took it away from him, I saw MORE dark streaks inside.INTRO
I am always on the search for new and reliable dog toys our 25lb whippet-shepherd mix has plenty of energy and does not like to be ignored for too long! On a search for new toys, I came across petprojekt's website and was intrigued! I was sent a sample of this product to evaluate in exchange for an honest review.
Our first introduction to treat-based toys was when picking up the funny looking Kong Classic toy and wondering what the heck it was. Since that time, we have found that our dog responds very well to toys that (a) contained treats no shock there, and (b) took some work. Despite being only 25lbs she has remarkably strong jaws (shepherd) combine that with her little pointy teeth and you have a toy-destructor of epic proportions. Many tattered "indestructible" toys later, and we decided that these treat-based toys were the way to go.
DESIGN
I'm all about natural rubber toys for the most part any small pieces that break off will pass through the dog's system without any complications or worries from potential toxins. This is definitely one of the first things I look for when choosing a dog toy. What I like about the trētbōn is the fact that despite being small, you can really pack a lot in! Each end has a cross-style opening in which to place treats, peanut butter, and whatever other things make your pup go crazy! Because the opening is narrow, your dog will have to come up with some creative ways to get at their favorite things our dog has found her process: stepping on the ends and then flinging the bone at the wall. It's rather hilarious to watch to be honest! Because the opening is also made of rubber, it's easy to get a finger in there when cleaning. Very hot water should do the trick I recommend not using soap simply because some dogs won't touch it after.
DURABILITY
As stated on the packaging, this toy is not indestructible and doesn't claim to be. That said, due to the nature of this toy being puzzle-based you will find that it doesn't take much wear and tear (depending on your dog). As I already mentioned, our dog's preferred way of reaching the treats is squashing and flinging, but I would try this out with yours to see if tearing is more their style. For less than five dollars, it's a cheap experiment, and one that may pay off! So far we have stuffed the trētbōn several times, and the only damage is a few *shallow* puncture marks on the ends. Much like the Kong linked above, I am very pleased with how well it has lasted.
PROS
All-natural rubber
Very durable!
Provides hours of your dog being busy and out of your feet
Perfect size for small-medium dogs
Easily washed
CONS
Nothing comes to mind
TIP:
Natural rubber does just fine when frozen, so if you want to provide your dog with a summer treat, I suggest packing the trētbōn full with peanut butter, all-natural liver treats (small) and some blueberries (very good for dogs). Let it freeze overnight and both of you will enjoy the extra time it takes for your dog to enjoy their treat!
OVERALL
This toy has proven to be durable, is easily cleaned and has provided a lot of fun for our dog. The price is very attractive and it has already outlasted toys that cost us twice as much. I can very happily recommend this to owners of small to medium-sized dogs. Even if your dog is a destructive chewer you may find that this is exactly what they need to keep busy! Highly recommended!

D.T. Systems H2O1810 Plus Black Training Collar
This collar is terrific! The price tag is steep on this collar but think of it as an investment. This is a terrific brand, very well made (a relative has been using a DT collar for 10 years) and they have wonderful warranties and customer service. The DT H20 1810 is all you need for training your dog. I use this collar on my American Bulldog (a very stubborn and pain tolerant breed) with AMAZING results. This collar is simple in design, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive models but it doesn't need them either. The transmitter and collar are both 100% waterproof and submersible! Just make sure the rubber plugs to the charging ports are sealed tightly. This collar means worry free handling of your dog or dogs. Amazing product, very very pleased.

Four Paws 200pk Bags 22x23 Wee Wee Pads
So now I have tried Four Paws Wee-Wee pads, Dynarex Under pads(worst),Simply Right Super Absorbent under pads(very good-still use) and Natures Miracle Advanced Wee Pads(still use)and find Natures Miracle Advanced Ultra is the best by far for doggie wee pads!
I have to admit I am impressed on how absorbent Natures Miracle Advanced Ultra turned out to be. They claim to hold 6 cups of liquid and I believe it, this is the only pad with Polymer in it, Polymer helps absorption and keeps the spread of the liquid to a minimum getting more use out of the pad, this pad is also fantastic at keeping odor absorbed. I find Petsmart is the only place I can get these pads in-store in my area. The pad size is larger than the other wee pads at 27x23 compared to 23x24 and Natures usable pad area is pretty close to the 27x23 size where the other pads can be up to 4inches smaller in usable area size (so your 23x24 pad is actually 19x21 inches)because the blue border is non-absorbent and not usable(Dynarex brand)!! I just bought Natures Miracle Advanced Ultra on sale at Petsmart, 100pads for $39 which is a great price but I only use these in my crate due to that high price and for visit at friends houses. For daily use, I now go with Simply Right Super Absorbent 23x36 under pads from Sam's club which is also a very good product, not bad at keeping odor at bay, the size fits replacement crate trays, more room for 2 pups to use and best of all the cheap price tag of $24 for 120 pads and they are sold in-store, no need to order online. I will admit I would use these pads again if need be but there is no real savings in them as you do use more. I have 2 (4lb) small breed puppies 1 female and 1 male just so you have a picture. The puppies were definitely attracted to the pads and it was very easy to get them to use the pads which I am grateful. The first pads I ever purchased were the Natures Miracle Advanced Wee Pads and not by choice I just walked in having just gotten my puppies and grabbed the first thing I came across. Now Natures Miracle was a tad expensive so I started looking for another brand more in my price range so I did a lot of research and this brand was rated high by people, then as luck would have it Pet Supplies Plus had a great sale on Four Paws Wee-Wee Pads, now after some use and after the excitement of them actually using the pads I started to become a tad disappointed. You pay a good dollar for these pads and I started to notice things, the size is smaller than the other pads and the 23x23 size meant I had to use 2 of them in my crates and on a side note the actual size of usable pad is 21x21. They are pretty thin and I have felt dampness on the underside of these pads which is a problem since they were sitting on carpet( I have since bought crate replacement trays). When the pups went tinkle it would just sit on the top of the fabric and pool before actually soaked in allowing the pups to walk thru it and tracking it on my carpet. When the female went tinkle she pretty much use up a good portion of the pad so I was changing them often so the price savings now has gone out the door. I also found there was no odor control with these pads.
