These are great. They're easily cut into smaller pieces--I cut each piece into 12 little treats. Each ends up being just 1 kcal per treat. I worry less about fattening up my pup during training.

What can I say? You get what you pay for and these Wellness WellBites are worth every dollar. My dog LOVES these treats so much; she'll do anything for them. She chooses them over some other high-end treats that it wouldn't be nice for me to name here. The WellBites are soft so you can easily break them into food, put them in toys, etc. And they're made with healthy ingredients. WellBites are a win-win: Tasty and Healthy. Excellent treat! The treats in the bag are 1 x 1 squares and a little less than 1/2 a centimeter thick. They are soft and they smell like a mild beef jerky. My dog does not like treats that smell heavily of hickory, smoky flavors. He loves these treats. He is a Bichon Frise (5 yrs old).

I also use this collar on my Maltese, and it seems to be helping her behavior. So far, so good. Its simple, and it works. At this price, you can't beat it.

IMPORTANT:

For a while it seemed to only work intermittently, and I couldnt figure out why. Now I realize that it ONLY WORKS IF THE COLLAR'S LED IS LIT. AND THE LED WILL ONLY LIGHT IF THE DOG IS ACTIVE. The collar has some kind of motion sensor and it powers down when the dog is motionless. I keep her crated, and I'd put the collar on when she left her crate. But it wouldnt work. So be sure to SHAKE IT to make the LED come on before putting it on your dog. When the collar's LED is lit, the unit works great.

I have a very yappy Maltese and this collar has worked wonders! I can definitely tell a decrease in the amount of barking/growling since purchasing this collar. I love the vibration button, as my dog is quite small, which 90% of the time stops his barking without me having to actually shock him. My only dislike about the product is the quality of the remote. I have had this product only 3 weeks and the antennae on the remote is already broken. It still works but only in close proximity. I would still recommend this product, however, I would say try not to pull out the antennae unless necessary. Overall, great product!!!

Bought this for my 5lb pom. The vibrate didnt stop him from barking. I did not use the shock because I used it on my hand and thought it was too much for him. Also, the reciever is HUGE, its almost as big as his head. There is also the fact that you have to carry the controller with you and be quick at hitting the button. I was going to return it, but it would cost half the price to send back to California. I gave it to my brother for his 15lb yorkie. He did use the shock and when i visited him a week later, the dog who usually yaps like crazy WAS SILENT. Said he only needed to shock him twice. I need a smaller reciever and the ability to control the intensity of the shock. Unfortunately,those are more expensive. Otherwise, it apparently works great for my brother.

We have two of these and when they're working, they work great. When we got the first set, they worked great for 2-3 weeks. After that, the shocks in both stopped working. They were replaced with no problems but after 1.5 weeks of using the new ones, the remotes went out. Very disappointed in the quality. We live out in the country and to have the remotes go out on you when a coyote runs through your backyard is NOT GOOD! Would either like my money back or two new sets that work and does not have to be returned for a third time!

I had done my research on Sport Dog products and Ive been very happy thus far. I own the Sport Dog 400 collar system. The original transmitter no longer worked which is why I purchased the replacment transmitter. The price was right & I received it within a few days of ordering. Ive had no trouble syncing this replacement transmitter to (2) collars. My 2 yr. old chocolate lab responds very well to the Sportdog training. I use the 2nd collar as a back-up while the other is charging. I highly recommend Sportdog products to all who are in need for their canine friends.

Works great to put my pup in his place. I have a rather stubborn mid-sized dog and my older one didn't work as well (even on the highest setting). Now, with this one, he responds to level 1.

Premier Collar, 1-Inch

I chose to return this collar. I purchased 3. I have 3 dogs with thick necks, but small heads. I wanted a collar that was comfortable for daily wear, but that the dog couldn't back out of on lead.

If I had intended to only put this on my dogs for walks, and then remove when we got home, then this would have worked. The collars did feel very solid. Although, the adjusting needed to fit the neck properly would make frequent "ons and offs" kind of a pain?

However, my intent was to put it on, and leave it on. Two problems I didn't like-

The premier collar has a fairly large choking loop. So much area was taken up by the choke loop, that I would worry about my kids accidentally hurting the dog by tugging too hard. In all fairness, this may be solved by my getting a smaller size? My dogs measurements were just on the edge between medium and large.

I considered sending it back and trying medium...because the price is really quite fair, and the quality great. But, this brings me to problem 2.

There is only one D ring...and it is, of course, on the choker loop. If you put the Dogs ID on that, it causes the choking loop to hang down. This seemed dangerous to me. It would clearly get caught on stuff and have the potential to choke the dog.

But, the price is right, and the quality good. (although, I did notice the 1 inch collar was better material than the 3/4...the latter seemed to be "snaggy") I reviewed the product description and found the collar was described perfectly. I guess that I just didn't know what I was looking for until I tried it on the dog, and found it did not suit my purposes.

I was able to find a Lupine collar that was perfect. Also, of course, on Amazon :)

Our dog had a medium-sized Premier collar before and we encountered problems taking it off every night -clearly, it was just a bit too small for her size (she's approximately 40 pounds, medium-sized). For this collar, I decided to measure her neck according to the instructions and she fell in the very high end of the medium collar and the low to medium range for the large collar (so, easy choice -large collar it is!). Unfortunately, because she's still a fairly small dog, the 1-inch size is a bit bulky for her and we have to tighten it to the max to keep it on (and it's still a bit large).

All that being said, I haven't seen her slip out of the collar yet and it's holding up well despite several runs in a creek and through the woods. Would definitely buy again, but next time hope they have blue in a 3/4"!

this is a very durable collar. I definitely recommend the martingale type collar for most dogs. it keeps them from slipping out.

The martingale feature just doesn't work as well as a chain martingale collar. It look goods but just isn't as functional as I thought of it.

This harness is ingenious in as that it has a "D" ring on the front of the harness, and when you attach your dog's leash to it they instantly do not pull any more because if they do so it pulls them to the side. Instantly, you have a behaving dog that does not pull on the leash within minutes after putting this on them! Awesome! My girl friend cannot get our dog to quit pulling when she walks him, but no more! (He behaves for me because I make him do so.)

I ordered this harness knowing that I wanted one but that it would likely be too big for our Toy Schnauzer, so I altered it to fit him.

Please, Dean & Tyler, make one for small toy dogs like our 9-lb. Toy Schnauzer and I will instantly order one. It would also be great if these were also available in a dark brown color instread of just black. Actually there are a lot of small dogs in the world, and getting to be more and more, contrary to the beliefs of many dog accessory and toy manufacturers!

Love this harness as it works great for our little service (hearing) dog!

I love this thing for my deaf dog, I just don't like the fact that every other time I go to use it, it's not working. The batteries never want to stay in place or they just die so fast (even rechargeable batteries). It's also kind of unfortunately that it is not waterproof. I suppose investing in one that does cost a bit more is worth it but sometimes you just aren't made of money.

We wanted a vibrating collar without the shock aspect for a deaf dog. This product fit the bill price-wise and in action. Great find!

The vibration and paging on this unit lasted for too long. This did NOT allow me to specifically communicate with my dog and left her a little confused. A quick, momentary vibration option would have been nice. Also, the size of the box on the collar was huge. I won't be using this for training.

Unit worked as advertized, but, batteries die quickly, within 2 days, if your dog learns fast then you're ahead of the game, if not your into buying a lot of batteries.

D.T. Systems H2O1810 Plus Black Training Collar

Update 2/24/2013: Over two years later with weekly use and this collar is still functioning like it was new. There was an incident when I failed to re-insert the plug for the charging port correctly. This allowed water to enter the collar unit causing it to malfunction. DT's customer service was great. The collar was still under warranty so they replaced the unit no questions asked. Remains a great training tool. I would purchase this item again without hesitation.

This collar is terrific! The price tag is steep on this collar but think of it as an investment. This is a terrific brand, very well made (a relative has been using a DT collar for 10 years) and they have wonderful warranties and customer service. The DT H20 1810 is all you need for training your dog. I use this collar on my American Bulldog (a very stubborn and pain tolerant breed) with AMAZING results. This collar is simple in design, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive models but it doesn't need them either. The transmitter and collar are both 100% waterproof and submersible! Just make sure the rubber plugs to the charging ports are sealed tightly. This collar means worry free handling of your dog or dogs. Amazing product, very very pleased.
