I don't think any "tool" (prong collar, choke chain, head halter, "nonhalters", Martingale collars) actually prevents pulling. Teaching a dog loose leash walking is a training issue but, it does it take time. Sometimes, many months.
The reason I like this tool is because it does not harm the dog's esophagus. I work with dogs at a shelter and teaching loose leash walking is difficult (to say the least) but even with my strongest dogs, they may pull but they are not being hurt in the slightest so I think it is an effective tool!
I wonder if there is a reason it only comes in one size...which is the reason I gave it 4 stars. A medium size might be beneficial. Small probably not so much.So I purchased this on a whim, just to try it out. It is an interesting idea, but not for me. I will note that I hate all dog products that are made of a bungy material as they don't allow for control.
Pros:
Doesn't seem to bother my dog like a head halter
Doesn't choke him
Cons:
Bungy material
I'm not sure it would actually provide control even if it was a non-bungy material.
