The mat was great it kept our 40lb pointer mix off our bed when we left our home. She tried many times at first but later on the indicator showed she cut it by half. So far so good :)
This shock mat was expensive with very poor directions. While handling it, I myself kept getting shocked. To my shock, the electric shock was pretty intense and painful. However if I can figure out how to handle it, it may deter my cat. Unfortunately, she is much smarter than both me and the idiot who wrote the instructions.

Not sure if it is a bad supply the seller had or if it is just a bad/inconsistent product from the manufacturer. I ordered one, it arrived broken and dead on arrival. A second one was sent out... also dead on arrival. Still dealing with this mess.

This training mat works great. I don't even have batteries in it anymore and it worked after scout got zapped 2 times.
