I wasn't really expecting any enthusiasm from my dog since the treat is just dried piece of something that I couldn't even smell anything out of it. But to my surprise, my dog sniffed it and gulp! And he was waiting for the next piece intently looking at me. It seems he likes it as much as bloody roast beef! The product seems a bit costly per weight, but the pieces are so small and light, actually I got more in terms of number of pieces than I thought. I think I found a right treat for my dog.

We have two Labs, one around 70 pounds and one around 100. We go back and forth between two houses and wanted to have some tie-outs at each. We had bought two cables at the local supermarket for the same price as these, and they are about twice the thickness and have been trouble-free. We bought two of these, and within a week they are getting kinked. Also, the clips aren't as big and easy to use as the supermarket cables. Disappointing.

I bought two tie-outs for my two 9 month old labs..and they were delivered today..When I hooked them up for the first time, not 2 minutes after attaching the tie-out, one of my puppies was running free..the hook snapped from the tie-out and when I finally caught him, the hook was attached to his collar, and the coating was off of a few spots. A few hours later, I hooked them up again (using the other, non defective tie-out) and that one broke, I chased my other puppy for half an hour, in 10 degree weather, he almost got hit by a car..that tie-out was stripped of it's coating as well...DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I would give this product zero stars..but they wouldn't let me submit a review if I didn't put a star.

I use this tie-out to let me two dogs (60lb and 75lb) answer the call of nature in the back yard IE, both dogs combined, it probably gets used 30 minutes a day. I have purchased this product as follows:

* Feb 17, 2011 (ordered one) lasted nearly a year (good)

* Jan 21, 2012 (ordered one) lasted ~10 months (acceptable)

* Dec 22, 2012 (ordered two) first one lasted ~2 months (yuck.)

It seems like the quality has gone down; in the most recent shipment, the brand is "Aspen Pet" instead of "Petmate".. apparently Aspen Pet is a subsidiary, but these were previously Petmate-branded. I put the new tether out at the end of January; within a month, the nylon already started coming off in places. I looked over the tether today, and there are *many* dings where the bare metal is exposed -after less than two months. Unfortunately Amazon won't accept a return any more; bah!

This is a great tie out. My dog who likes to chew, tries to chew it up while she's outside but no can do! It also never gets tangled up. I never leave my dog outside unsupervised for more than a few minutes at a time without checking on her but it takes a bit of the worry out that she might get tangled up in it and hurt herself. She has never once gotten tangled in it and I've had it for over a month and she is out on it everyday.

I've only had the collar for a week and only now had the chance to use it in the field ... all I can say is WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I should say that my dog already knew basic commands like "Come", "Sit", "Stay", "Heel", and "Down" but getting him to do those things off-lease was a real challenge. With the radio collar, things are a snap. Games of fetch are now actually fun for both of us. He used to run after the ball, catch it, but then proceed to not come back with it. Prompts of treats didn't help past the first one or two throws. After only two "tickles" on the lowest setting (and we really are talking a "tickle" here ... I tested it on myself and the lowest setting is far less than you might get from a shock from walking on synthetic or wook carpeting), he now makes a bee line back to me after only getting the tone prompt. With only one tickle at the lowest setting, he's even heeling off lease as we walk home from throwing the ball. Truly ... if you have a dog who already knows basic commands and you'd like to be able to take him off-lease for games (or hunting as the product description states) this is a wonderful product. This is not a substitute for training but is a very effective supplement to it. All my dog needed was the reinforcement that I meant the commands I was giving him even off-lease.

An additional kudos to the Petsafe company ... the originally shipped transmitter (the part that looks like a little FRS radio) was defective making the set essentially useless. One call to Petsafe and they replaced the transmitter with a new one with no problelm.

I had owned one before (the 400) and this one is much better, better range and my dog really listens to this. I am not cruel in using this I mainly use the short zap button which is enough to remind her to listen and I don't have to turn it up onto the max setting. She is a very strong willed dog and refuses to listen sometimes and needs to be reminded. Many times the tone alone is enough to get her attention. The charge lasts longer on this unit than my old one also, expensive but a very good buy if you need help in controlling a strong willed dog. Just be careful, don't let the kids use this (they may deliver too much shock and hold the buttons too long) and make sure you are not cruel in it's use. This is a tool which if used right will make a world of difference in you dog's behavior. There are times when you need control but you can't catch up to the dog or it is too far away to want to listen. I am happy with this purchase and would reccommend it.

I've had the Sport Dog training collar for 2 weeks now. It was a replacement for a "cheap" ($100) one from W.Mart that used watch batteries on the collar and a 9V on the transmitter. After buying more batteries than I care to admit, I finally bought this one. Both the receiver and transmitter batteries recharge by a wall plug (at the same time) and the unit is waterproof which is great. The dog responds well to one of the low settings and has quickly gotten used to the tone to avoid the zap. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating was that the batteries need to be recharged every other day if you leave it on. It's not an issue, I would just prefer to have larger capicity batteries. Add that to the lifetime warranty and it has been a good deal so far.

I was looking for a training collar for my large dogs. I bought this along with the Add-a-dog collar because I had been told good things about this brand. When I received the product, however, I was disappointed to find that there was only one mode available when you had two collars attached. In this mode, I could only shock each dogI could not warn them with a pager or tone. While I think this product would work great with just one dog, (there are a lot of different settings), it is not a great two dog system. Also, to switch back and forth between one dog use and two dog use, you have to insert a sharp point in the back of the transmitter to reset the whole unit. I decided to go with something better.

I have got a one-year-old Jack Russel, barked at everything, other dogs, squirrels, motorcycles, anyone walking in front of the house, anyone coming into the house. I, like most people, that have bought shock collar has a dog with bark issues; especially when I'm not home. So I bought this collar because it is rechargeable and reasonably priced. When I got the collar I was a bit surprised on how difficult it was to center around my dogs neck. It was hard to center because the collar is really long, at least compared to my dogs neck size. It is a good idea to cut the collar for the dogs neck size. Make sure to leave space for the device!!! then place the device on afterwards. It takes a little trial and error to figure out where it will sit on your dogs neck, because each dog's neck is different. The collar itself appears to have a stronger shock than other collars I have used previously. My dog weighs 40 lb and I figured I'd start on five because that is where the previous shock collars sat. It was way too strong. I quickly rectified my assumptions and reduced the level to three. It was fine there, doesn't hurt him badly but strong enough to keep him quiet when he's outside. So if you have a dog with a lighter weight I highly suggest starting at level one or two and increasing as needed. The reason I have rated this product 5 stars is because even though it was difficult to set up, it is worth it. You only have to deal with it once (per collar) in any case.

Just put this on my 80-lb Doberman, and initially set it at level 2 (it goes all the way up to 7) and sent her out into the yard. WAY too big of a shock. When I finally got her back to me, I took the collar off and saw that it was set at 5. Now I'm a little concerned that the flimsy dial might accidentally get moved on its own. Be very careful when trying this out on your dog and DON'T leave her alone in the yard until you're sure it's working properly.

We've tried a few bark collars, and so far this one is working well. We have a very vocal chocolate Lab who drives our neighbors crazy. This collar has rechargeable batteries and is also waterproof. Ultrasonic Dog Dazer Deterrent

I am an avid cyclist and got this product to spare me from having to get pepper spray, which needs to be direct in order to be effective on aggressive animals. The Dog Dazer is a bit large and clips on a belt (I guess) but when cycling I have to clip it over the waistband of my shorts and it is a little heavy and slightly uncomfortable. As for dazing dogs, well, it only works occasionally. My experience is that some dogs are immediately dazed and stop chasing and barking. But other dogs seem to be intrigued by the sound emitted! I even tried it on my own dogs...one shied away and the other came closer. And in some cases the dogs seem to have no reaction at all to it. I still carry it, but I would not stake my calves (when a dog is getting close to taking a hunk out of them) on it working....

I own a pet service company and occasionally come across a situation where multiple

dogs will approach where at least one is not intent on being friendly. The dazer II has proved to be an effective tool as it will stop most dogs from charging or at least confuse them long enough to allow me time to vacate the area. I'm glad to have the safety I need without harming any animals.

I have been using the Tri tronics with my dobie mix, Tego, who is uninclined to listen unless leashed, or wearing his receiver. We live close to open areas, i wanted him to be able to run without risks. Tri tronics gave us that chance. But i was reluctant using this product for Trixie who is only 20 pounds, and mostly a good listener, and Nita who is very shy. But, after trying the original one on them, i realized both responded well to the collar. We now have 2 collars, it is easy to control both dogs, and i use a dummy on Tego, and the real receivers with the girls. They all listen, they run freely, and they are safe. I am close enough to notice other uncontrolled dogs, cats, or trash all of which might have caused problems before. If your dogs are somewhat trained, and you read, watch the material that comes with the product, i think this is a much better device than using leashes. Dogs love running, and i love watching them run, without having to worry about the control issue.

So I have had this for a couple months now and it works great. I have 2 German shepherds one 4 month old and a 1 year old. It didn't take any time at all for them to catch on to the vibration and stimulation. Now all that is needed is the vibration rarely ever do I have to use the stimulation. The battery lasts forever on these I usually use them about 1 to 2 hours per day when we go hiking and then turn them off when we get home I never throw them on the charger until the end of the week the longest I have gone without charging them was 2 weeks so GREAT battery life. I have two Vizslas that are for the most part well trained. There were a couple of issues that I wanted to resolve in their training. They barked a lot at any passersby and other dogs, and would not stopwhen told. They also would jump up on visitors. After a few short weeks, the barking isnot an issue. They will still bark, but will stop immediately when told. Bonus...I didn't have to use the shock at all. The vibration worked all by itself. They still tend to jump up with visitors, in part because we don't have a lot of them, but they will literally stop at the push of a button.

My dogs like to be outside, so it is important that the unit is waterproof. Also, it is easy to keep the dogs separate with the oronge and black. I use the orange for my more active dog. I would recommend this product. I plan to let my nephew borrow it for his dog when I am finished training mine.

I chose this collar mainly for price, not necessarily for features. The remote seams very fragile and a bit cheap. The LCD readout is small and hard to read. It would be nice if the screen were backlit so you can see which mode it is in when using it after dark. Also it would be nice if the remote could be locked on either collar 1 or 2. Several times I have tried to use the remote to get the dogs attention and it seemed if as it were not working, after examining the remote I realized it had been switched to collar 2 mode. I realize ther are better more expensive collars out there so I'd say its a decent buy if you want to try to use this kind of training technique on your dog, but keep in mind you get what you pay for.

This is a good price for a good product although it is not rechargeable nor waterproof it has three choices of correction. A noise, vibration, and shock. The Vibration the Shock have different levels you can choose from. There is also a light to test if the receivers are working. The only problem, other than it doesn't recharge, is that there is no on/off switch so whenever you move the receivers they turn on and if you are not pressing the buttons on the remote it turns off and it takes a second to turn back on. It is a little annoying. But for the price its still good.

I purchased this item initially, got it on time, it didn't work at all. Nothing would charge and it just continually beeped at me. I contacted the seller and I returned it at my own expense. I received a new order and much to my dismay, the same thing. I unfortunately did not read the other customer reviews before my purchase. I was told again to ship it back, but forgoing paying any more out of my pocket for a useless item. It sits in a box, I just haven't thrown it away yet. I after all I spent about $50 on it, I should at least be able to stare at it and have it annoy me. : ) Do not purchase this product, you will not be happy. We live in a townhouse, so we can't see our front door. Our poor pup would sit at the bottom of the stairs waiting to go out, but we would never know it. I didn't want her to bark to let me know I do not like dogs that bark a lot.

So we tried these and they work great! It only took about 2 times to train my lab to ring the bells if she wanted to go out. Now, even if I'm cooking in the kitchen with the TV on, I can still hear her jingle the bells!

Word to the wise though, be sure you are getting the REAL Poochie Bells (they will have a little bone shaped tag near the top). The brand name Poochie Bells have very sturdy and LOUD jingle bells. I tried to save a few bucks by getting a cheaper knock-off on ebay for our cabin, and the bells are smaller and cheap and do not ring nearly as loudly. I ended up getting the real Poochie Bells and tossing the knock-off into the trash.

I realized that my puppy did not have a way to tell me he needed to go. He would come over to me and I thought he just wanted scratched and the next thing you know he had an accident. Now he rings the bell and I know he has to go out and we no longer have accidents. It was an easy thing to teach him too, everytime we went out we rung the bell and he eventually caught on and it only took a couple of days, our other dog started using it too.

Mixed success with this product. Threemonth-old puppy played with it at first, but soon learned to ring bells to go out. Then he learned to ring bells whenever he wanted me to give attention. Probably thinking "It's about time she got a call system so I don't have to whine and howl when she leaves the room".

Also, I bought 2 large bells at a craft store for $2.50 and strung together for the porch door, which works as well. I am still using it, but the sound isn't necessarily a potty call!

My puggle doesn't bark, so when he has to go out, he would scratch the door. This way, he rings the bell and let's everyone know he has to do his business without ruining the door and it works perfectly!! All other bells I got he would rip when he tried to ring them, this one is nice and strong and he can hit it as many times and he wants without ripping it down. The product is great. I have 4 small dogs that do NOT go walking in heat, do not like rain, do not like wind, so I often have issues. I used "wee wee pads" and generic ones for ages. They had to be cleaned daily and were rather nasty looking. My condo is done in an "Asiatic" motif so they fit in nicely. I loved them BUT they hold TOO MUCH urine and feces. The fact is that while I loved them, after a few weeks I had to call and ask how to remedy the situation. They are a better alternative to wee wee pads in an aesthetic way, BUT not in a functional way. I have hosed them, used vinegar, (which repels the dogs) used fabreze (same issue) name it I have tried.

In general I like them and the company is much more honest than their AKC backed "puppy potty" but the fact is I can drench the grass and barely any water even gets into the tray. This means a whole lot of urine is getting trapped. I finally hosed them off outside today and experienced SOME relief but I still smell that odor.

If you have a patio you intend to use them on, I recommend them. I also would recommend you contact the company if you have an area you want to cover, they make "fake turf" so it is perfect. But for indoor use unless you have well trained dogs that will go to a basement or unused area, it is smelly and I have yet to remedy this. That said, it does look much better than the pads.

I live in an upstairs apartment so this made life so much easier. My dogs took right to it and seem to enjoy the synthetic grass. And it's easy to clean.

I live on the 3rd flr of an apt and this works great! Put it on the balcony and the pup uses the puppy potty in the middle of the night instead of us going all the way down stairs. Really helped us train her.....she knows to go to the door to go out and we only have had her for a month, she is 4 month old. Only issue is having to clean it every week so it doesnt smell.

I use this for my 30 lb soft-coated wheaten terrier. It's simply a convenience for Toby. The synthetic grass is outside on my porch.

Update 7/8/2012:

Have had this product now for a year. I finally got around to giving the grass a major restoration. I simply immersed it in the sink using 1 gallon vinegar mixed w/one gallon water for several hours. Miraculously, all the urine smell has been neutralized. I put my nose right up to the grass and couldn't smell anything. I now plan on doing this once a month. I purchased the puppy potty because I was tired of looking at the "white" pads and the expense! I have a 12 pound Shih Tzu that has been housebroke to use the pads and go outside. She does not like to go out when it is raining and this is a wonderful alternative. Also, my husband and I work and do not worry about hurrying home to let her out.

The puppy potty arrived very quickly. I was impressed with the size because when using the white pads I always used two, side by side. My dog didn't know what to think of it at first. So, I placed a soiled white pad, on top of the grass for the scent. Once she used it, I then placed it underneath the grass pad. She started using it right away!

I was a little leary about purchasing this item due to those reviews about the smell. I wash the pad every couple of days, with mild soap, rinse it well and have had no odor problem! I would highly recommend this because it is an awesome product, and you gotta love the price!

I found the dog version is a much better value, as it comes in packages up to one pound. The dog version contains large pieces, but just break them in smaller bits. My cats go berserk over this stuff!

My cat loves this snack but I found out that I had misread the ad. I thought I would be 3 packs of 6 oz each. Instead I got 0.6 oz per pack. When I added S & H it ended up costing me nearly double what I would have paid at Petco. Can't afford to do that again.

I would reccommend using the 0.6 rather than the .6 oz format in the future.

These are far and away my cats favorite treats. I don't get it. Supposedly, it's 100% freeze dried chicken and nothing more. Explain to me then.... why do my cats prefer to eat these rather than a can of wet cat food made up of pretty much just shredded chicken? These things smell pretty good (if you like the smell of chicken, that is), but that look about as fun to eat as cardboard. I don't get it.

Don't bother with any of the other flavors besides the chicken -my cats think the shrimp and the liver pieces are toys to bat around until they end up under the refrigerator. But they go absolutely bonkers for the chicken.

Oh, and buy a bigger size if you can. .60 ounces goes pretty fast.

Gave my 1 year old cat a small piece from the bag. She smelled it for about 2 seconds and proceeded to wolf it down and quickly ask for seconds. After obliging that request with a large piece, she went nuts. Aggressively licked my fingers of any and all residue, and is currently alternating between meowing, jumping all over me and sniffing the bag. Was almost startling how she instantly took to the stuff. Kitty crack for sure. Picked up the small bag from Petco, but will definitely order a decent amount from Amazon.

I actually bought the chicken bites for dogs but I'm pretty sure it's exactly the same thing: freeze-dried chicken. All four cats are all over this stuff and it's rare for them to all like the same thing.

I give it to them for "dessert" after they've had some other wet food because they would eat the whole bag if I let them. I have to store the bag in the oven so they can't open the door to get to it.

We aren't sure what breed our dog is, so it was nice that they gave us measurements for the breeds of dogs the collars would fit. This collar fits well, and she can't pull the collar off her nose. These collars are great for using with dogs that like to pull! My dog will choke herself with just a leash, but with the halti collar she walks very nice without pulling/choking!

PoochieBells "Mudslide Paw Prints" Dog Potty Training Doorbell Tool - Effective, Safe and Decorative

I used the bell training method 6 years ago when I got my bichon. It was very effective and she understood it right away. At that time I made my own hanging bells using a loud Christmas bell in a liberty bell shape at the end of a cord. I highly recommend the method.

After she was trained and had grown bigger, she gave the bell such a whack that it started to chip the paint on the door, so I replaced it with a Christmas door hanger with bells on the bottom just a bit larger than the Poochie Bells. That hanger started to show some wear so I decided to get the Poochie Bells since I thought the Mudslide print would go well with my color scheme. I expected the bells to be at least as loud as the Christmas door hanger.

The print is only on one side and , unfortunately, using the loop at the top which goes over the doorknob does not cause the ribbon to lay flat. I had to put a ribbon through that hanger and tie that to the doorknob in order to have the print side consistently show. That seems to be a design defect.

The major disappointment for me, though, is the volume of the bells. They are very soft. Fortunately, for me, my dog is so well trained, that if someone doesn't hear her ring the bell, she will go back and give it an even harder smack until she does get a response. For someone just training a dog by this method, I doubt that is likely to happen if they are in another room and don't hear the very soft jingle this bell makes.

I think it probably makes more sense to go to a craft store and get the ribbon pattern one desires and then to buy the a nice loud set of bells to attach. The whole point is being able to hear the signal that your dog wants to go out.
