Bought this to try to keep my german shepherd from running off. We live in the country with several 300-500ft ravines, bluffs, forests, etc. Wanted something that wouldn't lose a signal. This fits the bill. My dog responded to the collar and was trained in less than 20 min. I don't use the shock part, only the beep. He is trained to come when I push the button twice. Working on one long tone to sit/stay, three short tones to come home. Great reception. I use in conjunction with the Garmin Astro GPS so I can keep tabs where my dog is on our daily excursions. Have not had any problem with communication through rough hilly tree covered terrain for up to 1.8 miles. Haven't tried further yet. Simple, easy to use, holds charge easily for over 2 weeks using intermittently about 1 hour/day may hold longer but I usually charge it every 2 weeks.Save 14% Off
