I ordered a comfort adapter after a few days of using the dogtra IQ e-collar on my 14 lb rat terrier/chihuahua mix and seeing how much the regular prongs poked into her neck when the collar is tight enough not to move around. The collar works just as well with the comfort adapter on and she seems much more comfortable wearing it. So far I have been very pleased with this adapter & the e-collar.

I was worried that this might lesson the "correction: and that I would have to turn up the strength, but that wasn't the case. This seems to be a comfortable fit on my dog, way better that 2 prongs poking him.

These are easy to put on and make the collar sit smoothly against their neck without sacrificing performance. I will use this whether the collar is on a small dog or larger one. I'm using it with Dogtra's smallest remote collar, which I also love.

I reluctantly bought my 15# terrier a bark collar after we were kicked out of one apartment, allowed to move to a different location in the same complex, and told that if there were any complaints we would have to move out entirely. He doesn't bark that much, but there is nothing to drown out the noise between neighbors. Anyway, I bought the Dogtra 300 and the prongs were huge for such a small dog. I bought the comfort adaptor and feel much better about putting the collar on. A lot of reviews talk about dogs getting sores where the collar lies. I think this adaptor will prevent anything like it. BTW, I tested the collar on myself and there is no way the static stimulation could cause these sores. If your dog yelps, try it on yourself and you will see it just doesn't like being corrected at all. It doesn't hurt at all for the levels I have used on my dog (up to 3).

This product is an excellent addition to the Dogtra IQ. My company utilizes the IQ on a regular basis training professional working dogs and doing human/dog aggressive rehabilitation.
