Honestly, I'm not crazy about this lead. The leather is NOT soft. It's rough on my wrist. It might become softer after it's broken-in, but I don't plan on using it that much. The length is fine when walking, but when my dog does her little circle dance to take a poop; it's too short. I have to walk around in circles with her hoping nobody calls Bellevue. Also, the clip is humongo! It's difficult to hook to the collar ring. The color (brown) is dull. Bottom Line: I wouldn't buy another one!

It is well made of heavy leather, with a strong clip. The length is perfect for my shepard collie mix to walk by my side and even occasionally sniff the ground while being close enough for complete control in all situations. This lead is exactly what I wanted for our daily walks.

the item is okay, the lead came folded over and rubber banded, this causes the leather to crack and from the searches i have done, the leather is also old, showing signs of cracks also around the top of the handle. the length is good for keeping your dog close to you in crowds, etc... i paid 5.75$, pay for what i got...
