This is a very nice leash. Well made, attractive. Not as soft as I thought it would be, but does seem durable, and will probably soften with time. Good price.

The skinnier one is plenty strong enough for just about any dog. Might want to use the wider one on a dog that is so big and strong s/he wouldn't otherwise know s/he was on a leash.
