I discovered upon receipt that this collar uses the new PetSafe proprietary battery, not two cr2032 batteries as indicated by the seller. If you don't mind expensive batteries, no problem. I bought this one over several others offered on Amazon and elsewhere specifically because it supposedly used the cr2032's, which can be bought in bulk cheap. Going to keep it, but I am disappointed.PetSafe, I imagine, felt it a clever move to boost profits by changing the design to take only their batteries. When these batteries die, I will look into changing systems altogether, or attempt modification of the receiver to accept cr2032's.
