I originally purchased one of these harasses in a local store for my dog who, despite his normally docile disposition, hated bicycles. On walks he would pull against the leash so hard when a bike went by that he'd choke himself on his collar to the point of coughing. As a small, terrier mix I was concerned about him possibly crushing his trachea so I switched to this harness. It is very easy to put on and doesn't require lifting paws the neck loop slips over the dog's head and the belly strap unlatches on the side so that you can easily put it around their middle. Plus, it effectively reduced the strain on my dog's neck when those evil bikes passed by.I came to Amazon to find one for my mother who has a Jack Russel terrier that loves her walks. Unfortunately, she loves her walks so much that she can't sit still while you put on a regular harness, making the process of putting excited paws through a harness very difficult. After trying my harness, my mother asked where she could get one. I couldn't find them locally in the store anymore and Amazon turned out to be the only reputable online retailer to carry it.
