I just fill it with water and I put it in the freezer. I have not put any more treats in toy. He likes to like the ice.

Not for the super chewer in the family. M y dog loved it but had it torn within a few minutes.

I bought this toy as a gift for my brother's new Pug puppy. The Pug is about 7 lbs, and starting to teethe. He absolutely adores this toy, as does the adult 6 lb Chihuahua. I think it would be good for a dog up to 15, as the package states. It is slightly rubbery and bends, so I am not as concerned about the toy hurting the Pug's teeth. He was able to get the little treat part out in a day or two, that part is refillable though. He likes to play with it even with no treat in it. After a week of chewing on the toy, it has only the tiniest of little marks on it from all the rough play. Great little toy for small breed pups. It says you can freeze it, we haven't tried that yet. It might be nice and cool that way for a teething pup.
