My puppy was 12 weeks old when he started to learn how to use this. I always made him ring it at first so he can get use to it knowing it will yield him to go outside. After a few weeks he got it down packed. There are times he will ring it just to go outside and chase the squirrels lol.

My Miniature Golden Retriever mastered these bells in less than two days at 3 months old. I take them traveling with us too. I hang on hotel door and he walks under them to give a gentle sound to pee. He beats them with both front paws when he has to poop. I love them and refer all my friends to these bells.
