We bought this probably 1 1/2 months ago and today for the first time our dog used it. She's used it twice today so far.We have been jingling it every time we let her out and she had no interest in it. I'm very happy that it's finally clicked with her. She's 7 months old, so definitely still a puppy.

My puppy was 12 weeks old when he started to learn how to use this. I always made him ring it at first so he can get use to it knowing it will yield him to go outside. After a few weeks he got it down packed. There are times he will ring it just to go outside and chase the squirrels lol.Want Poochie-Bells EcoFriendly Soft Bamboo Terracotta Dog Training Discount?
My Miniature Golden Retriever mastered these bells in less than two days at 3 months old. I take them traveling with us too. I hang on hotel door and he walks under them to give a gentle sound to pee. He beats them with both front paws when he has to poop. I love them and refer all my friends to these bells. Haven't had one accident with these bells. At least none that were his fault. Don't use them if you leave your dog unattended. Easy for me because he is a service dog and goes everywhere I go. I now have a 2 1/2 month old pit bull puppy too. She rang the bells to pee for he first time today; after one week of show and tell from me and one year golden retriever. I fell asleep with her in my lap and awakened to her at the back door ringing the bells. I'm on pain medicine, so that tells you they are loud.I must admit that I tried to save a buck and ordered some bells off a popular auction site to give as Christmas gifts. I will not be embarrassing myself and gifting them to anyone. I'm paying the extra buck and getting these (larger; more bells on cord; and louder).
