Ok, so I thought that to save money I would try this product. It worked great for the first day, but then the second day when I used it the battery for the transmitter was within 20 mins. I will get new batteries and see how it works after that. Would I recommend...not really. Spend the extra money for a good one.

Two Door Gold Wire Dog Crate

Got this crate recently as we needed a second. Second door may be handy depending on crate location. Very sturdy and made in the USA. Not sure if other reviewer had a fluke piece sent since the pan in ours has rolled edges and no sharp spots.

This is a dangerous product DO NOT BUY IT. Unlike other crates that we have purchased, including some from General Cage in the past, the edges of the metal pan are not rolled or finished and have sharp edges. The corners of the metal pan are not even folded over but are instead just the cut joints of the sheet metal. A dog put in this crate is going to cut their feet on these edges! Even the people putting the crate together or transporting it could cut their hands on these edges. I am incredibly disappointed in the shoddy work.

Moreover, the picture for the crate on the Amazon and the General Cage sites does not show the actual crate pan with the dangerous edges but instead shows nice, smooth rolled edges. This seems like deception to me. We had purchased products from General Cage before and I wonder what happened to this once-reputable company.

I was searching the Internet for an interactive exercise toy we could use with our (highly energetic) GoldenDoodle. Somewhere (Ebay perhaps) I discovered this toy. The reviews were all very good, and I liked the concept. (We have a cat and the concept is very similar to the cat "dangle" toy). From the moment we brought it out of its packing, our dog was ready to play. It's fun for him, as well as us. Everything is very well made. When he destroys the toy (and he will, especially if he gets ahold of it and is left to chew) I like that we can easily replace it, or add another for a variation. The only "watch it" moment happened when Bailey was pulling hard on the toy, and the bungee cord was stretched taut..he pulled hard enough for me to almost lose my grip on the handle, which would have caused the entire hard base to smash into him. Luckily that didn't happen and now we know to ensure he doesn't pull harder than the grip we have on it. Price for the toy was very similar across the net, so I purchased via Amazon to use our 2-day free shipping.

I wasn't sure about buying another toy, because my dog doesn't seem to be very into them. However, I needed something to give her some exercise (in addition to the walking, of course) without wearing myself out so I thought I'd give it a try. To say that she loved it, really is an understatement. We spent 20 minutes playing with this and she didn't get bored. She would chase the toy, and jump and played happily. I had to hide it in a closet when I finally tired of playing, so that she would calm down. A good way to burn some of her hyperactive energy. Also, it seems to be very good quality. The bungie cord is strong, and held to her strong pulling. Because of the pole, I didn't have to tug too hard either. I just held on to it and let her go to town, before stealing it away and starting the chase again. I recommend it.

The gecko does pull off the pole, (the bungie slips off) but when I contacted customer service I was very pleased with the response and was given a link to a video that helped me tie a better knot to hold it on. This is an extremely well thought out dog toy able to withstand every bit of abuse our year-old English Mastiff puppy can throw at it. (We're talking about a puppy who's huge, strong, tenacious, surprising agile, and very clever.) He has tried his best to rip up the gecko, chew through the cord, and pull the pole out of my hand, all to no avail. The gecko is made of tough tear-resistant material, the bungee cord is very elastic and strong enough for tug-o-war with a 200 lb puppy, the pole is rock solid, and the wrist band at the end is a very thoughtful touch when playing with a big, strong dog who's quite capable of jerking the pole of my hand. The proportions are right too: the size and shape of the gecko, the length of the cord, and the length of the pole are well thought out, making it very easy to use with large and small dogs alike.

Most importantly, our dog loves it! He loves to chase it all around the yard, he loves grabbing it out of the air, he loves trying to pin it down as I dance it around and about him. There are so many ways he and I can enjoy this toy I can't see either of us getting bored with it any time soon.

We have a border collie puppy who needs a lot of exercise. I saw this and thought it would be a great way to get him exercise. I was very pleased with the great quality of the product. The toy has 2 squeaky's in it. The cord is long and is a stretchy bungee chord. The toy is stretchy also. The best way to play is to run it along the ground and have the dog chase it. My BC puppy got a lot of exercise although my lazy Golden Retriever didn't want to run after (he is 6.5) so if you don't have an energetic dog who likes to chase it might not be the right toy.

Update: After 1 week, with simple play my dog managed to rip a hole in the attached toy, we sewed it back together and it is fine now but I was disappointed in how easily it ripped without excessively rough play. I also don't let them have this alone, we only use it together.

Differed from the same labeled box purchased in Pet Smart store. In the store the pads had a larger absorbent center area with a smaller border.

The first pads I bought of this same kind was in Petsmart paid about $54 + tax. My cavachon pup, used to bite the pads and rip them when he was little, but now he doesn't and + I got him a pad holder so his pad isn't moved or he misses/pee's on the edge thus getting it on the floor.

Excellent pads that are absorbent and scent free. No smells, No mistakes.

Definitely better than Walmart brand, bought those after my initial box went out & you could tell walmart kind have a lot less cotton in them and the material is cheap + odor stayed. They definitely can't compare to these.

I recommend them for small pups.

We have used nature's miracle pads for over 1 year now and have never had a problem. Saw these new and release a plesant fragrance...so I thought why not try them...same brand and same size...an improvement...NOT! The plasic part may be the same size, but the pad itself is considerably smaller. Also as of this writing our dog still has not gone on it. So, my advise if you use nature's miracle absorbant pads and like them DO NOT BUY THIS. If you are looking for a puppy pad...same advise do not buy this. I am very disappointed this was definately a mistake:(

Paw Trax Super Absorbent Training Pads

The Paw Trax Super Absorbent Training pads are the best pee pads I have found. The best feature is that my puppy's paws don't get wet when walking on the urine soaked areas of the pad. Previous pads were not successful at the "non-tracking" feature and my puppies paws smelled of urine constantly. With the Paw Trax Super Training pads, the urine soaked paws are not a problem anymore. I have tried several brands of pee pads including Arm and Hammer (terrible), Top Paws Training Pads (fair to poor) and Nature's Miracle (not bad). I like the Paw Trax Super Absorbent the best but can find them only online. I have been able to get them with free shipping which makes the purchase worth it for me. I will continue to order them from Amazon.

These pads are more rectangular than square. The plastic backing is kind of fragile, but so far my chihuahua and pug have not been tearing them up when they kick back on the pads. Absorbs fair amount. I will probably reorder them.

Reflective Dog Collar

I bought an orange guardian gear collar with the reflective strip because my pointer loves to run at night. The reflective "stripe" is not sewn onto the collar, only with an adhesive that lasted about 2 weeks for me before it started peeling off. I was able to return and get my money back. The collar is not well made for an outside dog.

The adjustable buckle allows the collar to loosen with wear. It doesn't maintain size very well. I have used other adjustable collars which maintain size. This one does not. It won't fall off, but if caught would allow a determined pet to escape from the collar. Under some conditions that could be good. For my use it wasn't so I replaced it with another adjustable collar that maintains the collar size.

We wanted something safe to use for our minature poodle who appeared to be very afraid of anyone besides our immediate family. He would bark constantly at everybody and anybody who came to visit. This product worked wonderfully for us and for him. We put the collar on him when we know someone is coming over. Initially he barks 2-3 times before he realizes that he is doing that to himself and then he stops. He actually becomes more sociable because of this. It's almost as if his own barking scared HIM! I ordered the refill spray and batteries for my dog's collar and it wasn't until I tried to use the spray that I realized it is NOT the Premier brand I ordered (and is pictured). I instead got a Petsafe generic brand for all types of collars.

The issue whenever I use the Petsafe brand in my Premier collar, the collar stops working completely. If I empty it and use the Premier brand, it works fine. (Others have complained about clogging try the original brand the collar probably works okay)

I am SO upset that they would send me a generic brand when the original Premier brand is pictured and now the product causes the collar not to function at all! A complete rip-off!

We have never been able to keep our small, male dog from urinating in the house. He'll go in the house even with the back door wide open! Even when we put wee pads in his favorite indoor spots, he'd use those AND find new places to go. We couldn't set anything on the floor, had to take up all rugs and carpets, continuously wipe down or wash furniture. We then tried various types and brands of diapers and "male wraps." Most slipped or leaked (even when we inserted sanitary pads in them) so that they did not contain the urine, and none really fit him comfortably or well. Finally we tried the Tinkle Belt, and it worked! It fits him very well and he seems not to even notice it's on (in others he'd walk sideways, or refuse to walk at all). A sanitary pad fits perfectly in it, and it covers without slipping.

It also seems to be the only thing so far that has given him a clue about housetraining! We take it off when he goes outside, and put it on him at all times when he is inside. When we first put it on, he wet it frequently. After a couple of days, we noticed it was dry more than it was wet. It seems that he doesn't like to feel wet, and so is learning to wait to go outside. Yay!

We liked the first belt we ordered so much that we decided to order a couple of spare belts. I accidentally ordered the wrong size, and when I asked to exchange or return and reorder in the right size, the seller offered to send the right size and asked that I donate the too-small belts I'd mistakenly ordered to the humane society in hopes of helping dogs with elimination problems keep or find homes.

This lil belt has suceeded in keeping me sane after another Pom taught mine how to "mark"! I have a 17 year old male dog who is amazingly hanging in there, except for his frequent urination. No matter how often we take him out he cannot hold his bladder. After two years of frustration with our adopted Manchester Terrier, Charlie, we were at the end of our rope. When we rescued him, we knew he had house training issues and had not been neutered, which let us to believe he may have been part of a puppy mill breeding operation. These fit perfectly on the bottom of Midwest Ferret Nation large cages. The cover right up the cage edge, which is important with ferrets as they like to use the corners. Padding is thick, and the pad has enough weight that it stays in place better.

The thought is a great idea. I have a black lab that loves the park for running. Because we walk him a lot of times when it's dark, we needed some way of tracking him easily. The lighted collar works really well with a new battery, but that probably last for about 4-5hrs. and then becomes very faint. Again, it is a great idea, but doesn't stay bright for as long as we would like it to.

First off, during the time it worked it was perfect. We have a black dog and the collar helped her stand out during the night. However, sizing the collar was difficult, involved cutting the plastic of the inner tube, and was less than intuitive.

The major point, though, is that it didn't work after 30 mins. We changed the battery figuring that maybe it was shipped with an old battery, but still nothing. All in all, we spent $20 for a wonderful 30 mins.

My wife and I love to hike with our German Shepherd. However, her (the dog) behavior had become an issue. Whenever, she sees another dog or horse, she loses her mind, and we lose control of her. We did not want to resolve ourselves to hike with her on a leash.

Now that we have this device she "comes" on command, and not on the second or third time we call. She comes the first time, and to my hand. Now we can hike with her, and gain control when we see dogs, horses, and those who do not share our enthusiasm for dogs.

I like to add this devise is not cruel in any form. It has a dial of 8 settings. I tried it on myself. I could not feel "1" at all. "2" and "3" tingled. "4" felt uncomfortable (not painful), and that is where our dog is set.

The only issue is at home. We have an "invisible fence", which works on a very similar principle. The issue is that when I "beep" her or "zap" her at home, she becomes very confused. Hence, we only use it primarily for our hikes, which was our desired goal anyways.

The conclusion is that I highly recommend it for hiking or rather "off-leash" walks. You may have mixed results at home, if you have an "invisible fence". Although without the "invisible fence" issue, I believe it would be very effective for any sort of training.

Bottom line is that it works and I wish had I bought this tool earlier.

I've belonged to PETA, World Wildlife Fund, and I have volunteered at shelters, etc... My life has always had an animal in it and I love animals. That was until my husband brought home a pug puppy. For a year I was tortured by my guilt over my extreme dislike of this dog. She bit, she chewed (going to happen with puppies I know but it was INSANE), she scratched, she jumped, she made messes, she started to use my toddlers as chew toys and no matter what we did, who trained her, where we took her she wasn't getting it. She has been crate trained from the beginning and she still wasn't getting the fact that she had to "go" outside. I don't mean an accident every once in a while, I mean our living room was her backyard. I was a mess, I was irritable and frustrated with her 90% of the time because (mainly)of her biting. I've trained numerous dogs before and she wasn't getting it. Buying this collar was a last resort and the BEST THING I DID. She had the collar on 2 days and she got it. She got it all. Everything we tried to train her for a year sunk in on the first shock. (And we had the level at a 2!) The kids now play with her, I enjoy my time with her, she enjoys life because she is with us, my older (geriatric) dog is enjoying life because he's not her chew toy. It's AWESOME. The fact that it's rechargable is a plus and the only reason it didn't get a perfect, 5-star grade is because I wish the charge lasted longer. Saved our life, took away the guilt, my kids love her now(they were scared to death of her before), my husband is happy and it brought peace to our house.(And a house with 2 adults, 2 toddlers, 2 cats, 2 dogs and 3 birds needs as much calmness as possible:)) (Our cats are happier, too, because she's not chewing on them either!) HIGHLY recommend it and anyone who says it's inhumane hasn't seen it in action like I did. She does not wear it now except as a re-training every 2 weeks or so. I used to have to chase her all over the house to get her into her crate. My husband used this horrible, high pitch baby voice to get her in the crate (if you had heard that you would have fainted!). I wish I would have bought this years ago for a previous dog that I owned. I use this collar on a dog that weighs 12 pounds and the collar would easily adjust to fit to an even smaller dog. I have tried every collar there is for my 2 1/2 year old Rottweiler. She has three head collars, 2 harnesses, pinch collars, choker chains and regular nylon collars. NOTHING works on her. She has been through 4 months of obedience training and my husband and I have spent hours working with her and walking her daily. We love to go hiking but, she had a bad habit of lunging at people and bikes. Once she got worked up from seeing another hiker or biker, we could not seem to calm her back down. She just became crazy in the head and hard to control. It became so bad that we had to stop hiking because she scared other people and with her size, 112 pounds, it was really taking a toll on our shoulders trying to keep her under control. She was never aggressive, not growling or biting, just lunging and hard to keep hold of. Several times, she pulled me off my feet. This collar has been a miracle for us. She is a perfect little angel now. She gets over and sits on command when a jogger or car goes by and if I sense she is going to jump, I give her the warning beep. It only took about a week of using the "shock" before she got it and now we almost never have to use the stimulation. The beep is all she needs now. I must admit, the price kept me from buying it sooner but, I wish I would have got it a long time ago. This is the solution for problem behavior. I highly recommend this product and it has been the only thing that has worked for her. It is so nice to have a well behaved dog. All the training she went through made a difference too. She had the knowledge, she just refused to obey until we had this collar. It is worth the price.

I had purchased a PetSafe PDBDT-305 for my Golden Retriever mix. After about 8 months of use, it was nothing but a battery eater! We researched the internet for a better unit.
