Pro-Training Treats 5oz

Pro-Training Treats 5ozMy dog loves these treats! I put them inside the Everlasting Treat Ball and he loves getting through the first cookie to get to the treats inside. The flavors are varied and he doesn't get tired or bored with the tastes. You can also divide the treats in half to make them smaller and I use them that way both inside the treat ball and as training treats. This is a great product which comes packaged in a zip-lock foil bag so the treats stay fresh for a long period of time...if you can keep them away from your dog long enough! I will buy this again because my dog likes them and because I like to vary his treats.

I buy different types of treats for my dogs and keep them all in a large Rubbermaid container on top of the fridge. The dogs go nuts every time I reach for that box. I think they enjoy the variety because after I give them their treat they still look at me like "what else is she gonna give us" and sometimes I swear it's more like "but mom, I don't like that kind, I want the other one".

I mix all kinds of mainly dental treats together in the box. Rawhide sticks (all colors and flavors, not just green ones), Greenies, Dingos, CET and also use some rawhide bones. These treats help scrape plaque from their teeth while chewing before tarter can form if given after meals or once a day. My dogs do not get soft food or treats unless we are training. Saving soft treats for training makes them want it all the more and the hard food is better for their teeth and digestion.

I have a Miniature Pinscher and 2 Pomeranians that are prone to tooth loss so taking care of their teeth is very important to me. My oldest Pomeranian is 6 years old and just had his first professional cleaning and that was mainly because it is hard for me to get his back teeth because his mouth is so tiny.

They love when they see the bag of treats come out of the cupboard because they now it's the soft stuff or the small one bite treats and they are more receptive to training and their sessions go much faster.

I would recommend these treats as part of a variety. Mix it up so your dog doesn't get bored and use different shapes to get different angles on their teeth.

Thanks!

StarMark Every Flavor Treats / B0009YF43U

My puppy is in treat training, so we have plenty of different treats on hand. I slice them thinly for training, so that he doesn't get too satiated in training and so that his weight won't become unhealthy. I really didn't need any new treats for training, and certainly not these treats that work out to almost a dollar an ounce! But we recently bought the Everlasting Fun Treat Ball and found out, after it arrived, that our regular treats would not fit in the new ball. These treats were recommended for filling the ball. I hate to throw good money after bad, but I thought maybe these would be a fun enough diversion that it would be a worthwhile treat for the puppy, so I went ahead and bought some.

The good news is that these treats do fit in the Everlasting Fun ball almost as if the ball were made with these treats in mind! The treats slide in between the "teeth" of the ball opening easily, and the teeth don't catch at the treat (and my fingers) as they had in previous attempts to fill the ball. The treats are also very pretty, the different colors and flavors are neat for us humans to look at. The bad news is that the colors and flavors seem lost on my puppy, who much prefers his Omega ball, with its puppy kibble and occasional freeze-dried liver piece. He'll play with the Everlasting Fun treat ball and these treats if I give it directly to him, but when left to his own devices, he'll go back to his liver-laced kibble. I was expecting these treats to be exciting enough to hold his interest, but he seems kind of bored with them, and he seems to eat the treats more because they are there and less because they entice him definitely not like the four or five other types of treats we use.

This 5 oz. bag will fill our Everlasting Fun ball at least twice and maybe three times, but the ball is small enough that this isn't terribly impressive. Since he doesn't seem terribly interested in the treats, I'm thinking about slicing them up and adding them to his food, just to keep them from going to waste.

These are the best treats for training and rewarding since they are so small in size. I put some in my pocket and off we go for some sit, stay and heel lessons. I give them 4 stars since I truly do not know how great they taste. :-)

Primal Pet Foods Chicken Chips Dog Treat

Primal Pet Foods Chicken Chips Dog TreatI bought Primal Chicken Chips thinking it was a safe USA product that could replace Smokehouse 100% Natural Duck Chips Dog Treats, 16oz Reseal Bag thought it would be a small crispy crunchy chip. I was wrong, there's no "chip" to it, just tough jerky the size of a half-dollar. I had to fold the leathery stuff in half multiple times to tear it into 4 smaller pieces (like trying to tear a leather belt) and my 11 lb. shih tzu still had trouble chewing it and even choked on the last bit. Gave away to a big dog (80 lbs.) LOVES them.

My dog loves these and I can feel good giving them to her as they are made of just chicken honey and sea salt

ive tried several chicken jerky brands, most of which have caused my dog to choke when he chews it. primal treats are dry roasted and stay crunchy versus becoming soggy and chewy while being consumed. unfortunately the treats are rather expensive, but overall are worthwhile.

Funny, my sixty pound Staffordshire Bull Terrier adores these things. They are her favorite treat paws down. For the Shih Tzu, try Bacon Bits.

Adjustable Car Harness

Guardian Gear X-Large Nylon Car Dog Harness, BlackThis helps keep your pet safe in those sudden driving moments and also keeps the pet in the back seat instead of trying to climb up front with the driver. The material is like that of genuine human safety seats and we enjoy using the harness aspect independently when we walk our dogs. There is a metal loop for leash clips to latch on to. When we are done with our walks, the dogs are just unclipped from the walking leash and clipped to the short length of leash that remains attached to the seat buckle and viola! They are safely buckled in!

I bought 2 of these, a large for my 65+pound pit and a XL for my 85pound pit. put them in the backseat of my car and it works very well, i set it the the shortest possible leash because they have a urge to either put there head in the middle of jump on the floor. works good, felt very secured, and the front part of the harness that straps to the chest all the way down is comfortable for them so it leaves no marks. great product. great price.

Advanced Portable Sonic Dog Repeller

Advanced Portable Sonic Dog RepellerI must state that I bought this to deter two dogs who always "dogg" me on my daily walks. The device had no effect on them. In fairness I must point out two other similar but different brand devices also had no effect. So I bought one of the pepper sprays to use as a last resort, and THAT DID have an effect.

I purchased this dog repeller in the hope that it would prove to be a help when confronted with a dog or dogs which appeared aggressive. I am a cyclist and often have problems with loose dogs. I am always very concerned about this when I am abroad.

I found that it did not work at all. Even at close range, dogs were unaware of any change in the environment.

Eventually I used the repeller with friends' pets and they ignored it too.

Dogit Nylon Single Ply Dog Collar with Buckle, Large, 22-Inch, Black

Dogit Nylon Single Ply Dog Collar with Buckle, Large, 22-Inch, BlackI bought this to replace the plastic collar that came with a dog training device I bought. I didn't care for the collar that came with the trainer and wanted something softer. This is perfect. I have not used the trainer yet as I am hoping I can train this dog without it but this fit perfect on the training device and if I have to, will use it. If not, he has a nice new collar for a later date.

KONG Naturals Incline Scratcher Cat Toy

KONG Naturals Incline Scratcher Cat ToyI originally got this for my 2 cats for basic function as a cat scratcher. The moment I introduced it to them they had a blast with it. Climbing on it, hiding behind it, trying desperately to get that toy out if it. They stick their paws in it and then their heads, when that doesn't work they try on the other side, then go back again. They chase each other around it and fight over it. It lasted nearly a year until when they were playing tag, one cat was perched on top of it in wait, the other came pounding toward her, took a flying leap on top of it and completely crushed it, scaring both cats enough to jump 10 feet. I laughed for hours. This item is not only functional but I found it provides hours of entertainment for cat and human alike.

I give the Kong Incline Cat Scratcher two stars because our four kitties do like the incline and the scratching pad. However, the overall unit is lightweight and flimsy. The toy in the base intrigued them but unfortunately it's not a furry mouse as shown in the picture, but instead is (was) just a paper pom-pom. Our smallest kitty had the toy in shreds by the end of the second day. The base of the Kong scratcher is cardboard and the unit moves at the slightest touch, so you need to add extra weight in order to use it. We bought the Bergan Turbo Cat Scratcher at the same time, and I'd recommend it over the Kong. The Bergan model has a similar scratching mat and a heavy plastic base that stays in place. And our kitties love pushing the ball around the track on the Bergan. Overall, at around $12.00, the Bergan is more expensive but promises to last much longer.

Update on 9/07/10: Be aware that the refills that Amazon sells to accompany this Kong cat scratcher are too big for the base. The only way to use them is to cut them down, which is a pretty messy process. Meanwhile, our Bergan is still going strong. (Their refills do fit their base.)

I opened up the cat scratcher, spread a little nip on and my cat went to town on it. He barely gave me a chance to set it up. He has used incline scratchers before so this was something he was familiar with.

I would recommend trying to weigh down the scratcher if your cat is over 7 lbs. I just stuck a little 10lb weight inside the little hole in the back. They are more apt to use the scratcher if it doesn't move around on them while they are scratching away.

I bought this online because the price was so much better. I bought the incline scratcher and 2 packages of refills for what it would have cost for just the incline scratcher at a local pet store.

If you're cat doesn't take to it you can't really blame the scratcher. Cats are persnickety creatures. My cat loves the incline scratcher but will not go near the pole with the rope for scratching.

The cat is happy, I'm happy and my furniture is spared.

The 1st day I received this I sprinkled some of the inluded catnip around and it was on ever since. One cat likes the toy in the middle more than the others, but they all scratch on it constantly instead of my furniture!! That was the goal, so I give it 5 stars for sure! My little shy cat seems to come out more often and is always laying on it or by it. She loves it and I get a laugh at her rolling down it as she plays! And for $10, I would definitaly recommend this toy!!

Want KONG Naturals Incline Scratcher Cat Toy Discount?

My cat prefers incline scratchers and will definitely still go for carpets and chairs if I don't have an alternate close by so this seemed to fill the bill (at first) at a good price. However, I second many of the other reviewers. .. It is light weight so, as someone else suggested, I put a few weights inside to stablize it. My puss IMMEDIATELY pulled out the suspended paper ball (NOT a little mouse toy as pictured) and IMMEDIATELY shredded it...so much for that aspect. I also used transparent packing tape to reinforce the whole thing since it seemed to be tearing slightly at the folds from heavy use (the good thing).

IF you can order this so that the shipping is free, and if you just want another scratcher to place around the house to keep your puss off furniture scratching..this is a good price vs retail (Target for instance) for this kind of thing. Its the least ugly of the products that provide unobtrusive scratch pads...I keep searching around for an alternate that looks a bit better before I'd buy it again though. Just quite flimsy ...so there's nothing special about getting this through Amazon (the price IS a bit better but not that much)..so sorry about that though. I was quite hopeful this was 'the one'...for cheap, serviceable, and least ugly. Close but not a winner.

Dogit Design GUMI Dental Dog Toy

Dogit Design GUMI Dental Dog Toy, Floss, SmallI purchased this product when recommended by my vet. It cleans my dogs teeth very effectively without a lot of expense or trouble. It keeps her occupied for hours of fun. She REALLY loves her daily teeth cleaning. This sure beats trying to get a tooth brush in her mouth.

The cost of tooth cleaning is around $500. here, so this saves a TON of money. She carries this thing around with her all day, just hoping it will get refilled....LOL

GREAT product!

Don't waste your money; your dog will chew through this in 15 minutes! My dog never chews through anything, and this lasted but a few minutes. It's kong counterparts are much better quality.

PoochieBells Classic Dog Potty Training Doorbell in Chocolate Brown, Cold Nose Warm Heart Wording

PoochieBells Classic Dog Potty Training Doorbell in Chocolate Brown, Cold Nose Warm Heart WordingI bought the hanging door bells to replace a set one of my neighbors had given me to make the door look a little nicer. My neighbor had given me a string of bells that she'd picked up from the dollar store and she took off all of the bells except for the bottom one. I'd added some string on it and hung it on the door with the string. The dollar store version actually rings louder with just one bell than this item does with 4 bells. The dollar store's bell is a little bigger and gives a lower pitched ring whereas this device gives a high pitched ring that can be a little harder to hear. Also the strap is little more than ribbon. I was expecting something more around the thickness of a thin dog leash, not the case.

I think you could do about the same or better with some pretty ribbon and some dollar store bells from Christmas. It looks nice but could be made a lot better.

It's not working for my dogs. I have two, a 12 year old Cocker Spaniel who is bright and quick to pick up new tricks, lessons, and the like, (I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to run her through feldjager training when she was a pup, so she's very bright and well trained). And a 9 month old Min Pin, who is a little slower, but still bright.

I got the bell for the Min Pin mostly, she was trained on potty pads by her previous owner, I don't do that here, my dogs use the outdoors. So, it was for the purpose of retraining for her, and for giving my Cocker Spaniel a signal for me. Previously she'd just sit by the door, silent, and wait for me to notice her, until sometimes I swore her eyes were crossed. That's no good, if I'm in another room, I need to know so she isn't just waiting on me to walk by.

It's been nearly a month of doing exactly what the instructions say, potty time isn't play time anyways here, and my Cocker is an on command pottier anyways. So I'm not abusing the bells and letting them play when they should be associating it with potty.

Neither of them have yet to ring the bell on their own. My Min-Pin would rather potty on the floor, than ring the bell, and my Cocker would rather wait on her potty breaks, or sit at the door and wait for me.

:(

Blaze is still attempting to get over the fear of the bells. He is still in the middle of potty training, so we have noticed that he has been attempting to use them occasionally and hope that it becomes a habit. They are adorable and I believe well worth it in the end!

I did not buy this doorbell dog bells for the dog but to put on the outside doors in the house so I was aware if the door was opened by my husband. I was able to get to him before he got out of the house as his sweet mind change in the end of his life. I still have them on the door as it is still a good idea to know if your door is opened. Also, if you have a little one you can know if they open the door.

Chasing Our Tails All Natural Dehydrated Dog Treats

Chasing Our Tails All Natural Dehydrated Dog Treats, Chicken BreastI use treats for obedience and agility classes. I need a treat that is not crunchy, but chewy and capable of breaking up into small bits. This product is easily broken up...too easily. It reminds me of a thin layer of chocolate but does not melt as such. The selling point is the natural dehydration, rather than freeze dried. I did not find it useful for my purpose.

Very small pieces easy for little dogs to eat. Great to take on trips not messy , easy to break little bits off for little dogs

If you are looking for a healthy treat for your dog, look no further. These dehydrated treats apparently taste great, because my finicky dog loves them. It's difficult to find treats that are MADE IN THE U.S.A. These are, and they are worth the price, knowing you're not feeding your best friend some crap from China.
