Easy Walk Harness - Small/Medium, Royal Blue

I had to buy three different sizes before I found the right fit. Even so, this harness tends to self-expand once it is on the dog / does not stay snug, which is essential for it to work properly. I have found I need to use a back-up leash attached to the dog's collar because the dog can slip out of the harness not easy to use 2 leashes! The harness does prevent the dog from pulling, but he has no trouble backing out of it, one leg at a time. Not as helpful a tool as I was led to believe, but maybe it will stay more secure as it ages. In order to make the harness snug enough, I have pinched the dog's skin more than once while securing the belly strap buckle so he is becoming leery of the harness. It is very awkward to adjust the chest and belly straps after the harness is on the dog.

This is the third Premiere harness I have purchased for my dog, a beagle. He pulls when we walk, or sometimes I need to pull him, and this harness allows you to do either move without hurting the dog. Since the harness fits around the dogs' chest and not his neck, there is no risk of choking and you can pull hard without causing them any pain. The small/medium size is also perfect for his size. I originally bought a medium, but it was too big.

Worked the very first time without any real training. When my dog started to pull on his lead, it would turn him around forcing him to look at me so I could give him a command. No choking involved. My dog is a Boston Terrier and full of energy. Now whenever we put the harness on, he doesn't even try pulling at all. Actually works better than his choke collar we originally tried. The straps are nice and thick and the clips are very strong. My dog was too small for the medium (which was available at my local pet store) and the size small had very thin straps. Glad I found the small/medium size online.

I won't use a collar on my 3 y.o. mini LH Dachshund and have used a dozen harnesses trying to find the right one as he has a prominent breast bone. I have a drawer full. I even tried the head halti and even tho' he walked obediently, the joy was gone. With his nose to the ground he puts his shoulders into a chest harness and pulls like a sled dog! He also reacts by lunging if he sees other dogs walking, squirrels or a delivery person. So I thought the Gentle Leader Easy Walk harness would be the answer to all my prayers for my stout friend. I was thrilled to receive the Easy Walk within a few days of ordering. It comes with easy to read instructions. The straps are thinner than his previous harness. After sizing the harness with the many buckles and putting it on the dog, we were off! That is when I noticed the problems. The girth belt sits right under his arm pits and on the first pull he walked right out of the harness as his front feet are not too far from his shoulders!! I re adjusted the straps and when he pulled again, instead of him being forced to turn and face me, he got his leash hung up around his neck as the leash ring is right up under his chin. He just kept going!! With his short stature, as he trots along, the leash swings wildly at the clip due to his short gait and it bops him in the face. After several weeks of trying to get used to the leash being attached in front of him, instead of between his shoulders, I've come to the conclusion that he is just too short for this harness to work the way it is meant to. I got the small for his 16" girth according to the sizing chart. I wonder if the medium would work better? Back to the drawing board...

PS I do think this would be the perfect harness for a normally proportioned dog.

I originally bought this for my mom's shih tzu, however, I failed to pay attention to this being a "large" toy. It was almost as big as the poor girls head! Despite her (the shih tzu's) attempts, she just couldn't play with it.

Luckily my niece has a boxer/english mastiff cross and she has destroyed every toy but this one. Well, until now haha.

She's just now after several weeks managed to gnaw off a single leg, but its still her favorite toy, and for a dog with a boxer's energy and a mastiff's size and power--that says something.

Definitely worth the money, provided your dog is a serious enough sized dog to enjoy it. I'd recommend this one for dogs anywhere from 45lbs+ in size. Basically medium sized and up.

I gave this to my sister for her dog. Her dog loves to play with it. She says he takes it all over the house.

I think we own 5 or 10 of these "Googlies" by now and we love them (Oh, and so does the dog!). They keep Duke entertained for hours on end because of the unique shapes and the squeaking, I think. These are great, easy to understand videos, so much so, that when I put the first DVD in, my kids started watching it with me. Immediately after watching one of the videos, my kids ran over to our dog to teach him a new trick. What I like most about the videos is that there are a wide variety of topics covered (both on the DVD and online through the Tailwind Dog Training site). Also, unlike other dog training videos I've seen that just use trained dogs, these use trained and novice dogs in the videos--making them much more realistic for those of us are new to dog training.

Biodegradable Puppy Pad

I ordered these because Dr. Foster and Smith stopped carrying the biodegradable pee pads. We have used them for years for three adorable chihuahuas. These pads are the worst we've ever used. The plastic backing is brittle and cracks apart like phillo dough! Without the backing intact they are pointless. I shipped them back the same day I received them in the mail. Not worth a penny...

I have used other brands of biodegradable pads and they did not fall apart like these. The backing of the pads was flaking off even before we opened the box. If you can get beyond having to peel up bits of the backing off the floor then I guess these do the job...

We have gotten these many times because we have indoor dogs and don't want to put stuff in landfills that won't biodegrade. We have never had a problem with these things. They are a little expensive so I give four stars. At a somewhat lower price I'd give them five stars. They've been perfectly fine, no complaints at all.

Do the two other reviewers of this product realize they bought the spray for birds? these people have a specific version made for dogs and cats. i have used it with my dog back in the day and it worked quite well. i put it on a video game controller of mine and when she picked it up to take it to where she was going to chew it she made it about 3 feet and dropped the thing. she started sticking her tongue out and constantly licking herself like she was trying to clean herself. i brought her to her water bowl and pretty much forced her to drink some water and then gave her a few treats to help with the taste. based on this experience i would say the stuff works fairly well. i also applied it to my arm one time when she decided to start nipping on it and she didnt seem to enjoy nipping it anymore after that.

This product said it could be used on dogs, as well as other animals. I tried this for my dog who chews on cords. I sprayed a brush he likes to chew liberally with this product and left it out for him. He immediately started chewing on it like always. I sprayed the brush again with the same result. Didn't work for my dog.

Im just going to copy and paste this review on all the fooey sprays because, well, it doesnt matter what size it is, it is the same LOUSY stuff!

The bottle itself tells me it is the most bitter stuff ever, the best, contains several bitter tastes, etc. In all honesty, i tried this stuff myself. Taste HORRIBLE to ME. Like extreme bugspray. I was gagging and had the taste in my mouth for about an hour.

HOWEVER, it did NOTHING for my cat. Absolutely nothing.

She is OCD about licking her paws. So much that they are losing hair, and in the past have gotten irritated / scabby. Yes I know that cats must lick their paws to clean themselfs, but her paws just needed time without her obsessive licking to heal. (the vet recommended) So I gave a few spritz to her paws, which by the way comes out in a jet stream, and she promptly went right back to licking her paws. No pause, no flinch, nothing. I sprayed more on, and still.. no reaction. So I wondered if maybe her OCD was pushing her to lick through the bitter. So I gave a little spray to my fingertip and dabbed it onto her tongue. Still nothing. She licked her mouth twice and thats it.

This stuff was a waste of money!! I am angry I got rid of the reciept, I can not return it. (I purchased from a nearby Petco)

Please look elsewhere. This stuff works great on people, but seems tasteless to my cat!

Our puppy wasn't a fan of it. For about... five seconds. And then he ignored it. I gave it two stars because it's bitter, and because it might be that our dog is just impervious... but it didn't work.

Agility in the Bag

We have labs, and my daughters love to play with them in the yard. My wife bought this set for them, and I think its a great product. It's not just for kids. The bag is great and manages to fit everything. The chute attached to the tunnel (held on by elastic) sometimes pulls off when our big guy runs through it, but I fixed this problem by clipping binder clips around the rim. I would recommend this set. I'm actually getting another one for my other daughter, as they each have a dog.

My dog and I are both new to agility training. It's been a great exercise program for both of us. She's having fun and frankly, so am I. The kit is easy to use, easy to break down and store. Came with good instructions, too. I would recommend this kit to anyone who just wants to have fun with their dog and lose some weight in the bargain.

I would imagine that this kit is not professional quality, but it all fits nicely in our dog run and I'm happy with the level of quality.

This muzzle literally saved my dogs life. He was a large aggressive rescue with dog aggression issues. During the rehab process it was imperative to keep my other dogs safe. He has worn this muzzle happily and doesnt have any issues wearing it. The rehab is coming along and in the meantime my other dogs are protected. It is soft enough that even when he accidently bumps the windows it doesnt break them, unlike the metal ones. He drinks, barks and pants normal and can even eat dry food while wearing it. It is lighweight but sturdy. Highly recommend it.

This thing is built like a rock and it's a good thing because my dog does everything he can to get it off. The only problem I had was that the lower strap was a little long for him and is non-adjustable. It hooks to a regular collar. I was able to loop a wire tie through the two loops and cinch it tighter. Otherwise, he was almost could use his paws and pull the bottom from under his chin.

Anyways, got it because we have an underground fence and use 2 shock collars but we have still had a couple issues as he has got older and more protective. So I can't let him run around on his own. Also, since he was a pup he likes to mouth you at your elbows and it is very annoying and can be painful to little people as he is such a big dog.

I hooked this to his shock collar and got the adjustments down and it really has been a lifesaver. Doesn't take too much time to get on or off. I can let him run the yard and although he puts in a lot of effort to get it off for a few minutes after I put it on, he hasn't yet. However, it has rubbed on the top of his nose and caused bleeding. However, that is his fault for constanly prying on it with his paws and rubbing it on the ground to try and get it off. If he leaves it alone it is fine.

Oh, and there have been a few nights that he won't quit barking in his kennel. Slap this on and save your relationship with your neighbors.

I have 4 rather large Labrador retrievers mother, daddy and two boys. The daddy is a rescue dog of sorts, who was apparently abused as a younger dog. Also, he was and continues to be teased mercilessly by my next door neighbor. He's very territorial and usually bullies the two boys. He's great with the mommy dog. Whenever the neighbor comes outside, whether with the intent to tease or just to make his presence known, the dog goes crazy. When he's in this enraged state he viciously attacks and bites the younger dogs if he can catch them. I'm sure he'd do the same to the neighbor if he could. I have a 6' privacy fence and locked gates, so I don't expect the dog to get our or anyone get in, but it worries me that someone might. Everything I've read about e-collars says that they should not be used with aggressive dogs as this only makes the angrier. End of background story.

I've never been a big fan of muzzles, but I am now. This product is durable and easy to get on the dog. In fact, amazingly, he seems to look forward to it. It's like it takes the pressure off of him to be dominant. Now he plays with the boys and they no longer fear him as long as they see he has his muzzle on. He still gets enraged at the neighbor, but no longer poses a serious threat to him. Hope this helps.

I have recommended this to many folks it really makes a difference as I can completely stop him if he wants to pull.

All in all this seems to be a pretty decent harness.The latches are some type of a sturdy plastic so it makes for washing easy without much worry about rust. The verticle strap that goes up the front of my dogs chest fits a little sloppy even when fully adjusted. I bought this harness because I liked the handle. I make my dog wear it everytime he goes outside because he doesn't want to come in every time I call and it takes a bit of force to make him come in.Thats where the handle really helps.The only drawback is my dog figured out how to pull the harness over his head like a shirt and step out of it. So if he doesn't want to wear it I find him seperated from it. However he mostly cooperates and keeps it on.So I won't return it because its the best thing I have going for me right now.
