Fresh Is Best Freeze-Dried Raw Turkey Giblet Treats for Dogs and Cats

Fresh Is Best Freeze-Dried Raw Turkey Giblet Treats for Dogs and CatsI was looking for treats for my recently adopted cat who seems to have a lot of allergies. I found a healthy cat food with turkey and salmon that agrees with her, so decided to give these a try as treats. She likes them, and she is finicky since I won't give her the things she really wants because it causes allergic reactions. It has been a lot of trial and error. These don't cause her any problems. And best of all, she likes them. So do my two dogs.

I bought these to clicker train my cat. The treats are too big. I tried cutting them, but they just crumble apart. I am reduced to re-hydrating them and then cutting into smaller pieces. My cat likes them though and training is proceeding well.

Premier Clicker Dog Trainer - Purple

Premier Clicker Dog Trainer - PurpleOn the surface there isn't anything special about this clicker. You press the button you get a nice clear "click" noise, pretty normal for a clicker. BUT the thing that makes this clicker so much more then other clickers is the finger strap! It stretches and fits any finger or thumb you want it on. Now you are set! You can press it with another finger, your thumb, the palm of your hand, your thigh, the table that is near, or whatever.

You won't drop this clicker, or not have it exactly where you need it to be when you are training. It is always exactly where you need it to be, no fumbling, no juggling it and trying to hold it with the same fingers trying to hold a treat, a leash, a target or whatever.

When training it is so important to pay attention to your dog so that you can catch the right moment to click so the dog knows the exact second that he did the right behavior. With other clickers you have to keep a bit of your mind thinking about where is the clicker, is it where I need it to be so I can hit that button at the exact moment I need to, am I going to drop it when I have to juggle other training items, treats, etc?

With this clicker there is one less distraction, one less worry, one less item to drop or hold onto. It's always exactly where you put it, always exactly where you need it to be.

I had been using the StarMark clicker which was chewed up by the puppy when I carelessly mis-placed it. While searching for another StarMark, came across this clicker, I thought it's an excellent concept because one can free up the hand without holding onto the clicker all the time. The main problem is the clicking sound is way too soft, you had to literally hold it in front of the dog. Try the StarMark and you will see the huge difference. We cannot do out door training as the sound is way too soft. Back to StarMark again, but this time, I am modifying it to allow straping onto my finger.

I love the convenience of having the clicker attached to my finger and the shape fits well in the same hand with the leash.

There are two issues with this clicker. First is that the click is quite soft. I have insulated my other clickers to soften the sound, but this is even softer. It's not a big deal at home, but when traffic and other loud noises come up, the dog can't always hear it. I keep another clicker with me just in case, when I'm training outside.

The second issue is that the band is tight. I have average sized female fingers and the band cut off circulation causing pain (and the color of my fingers matched the clicker!). I have found a convenient way to wear it without this being too much a problem, and I would buy it again.

I have 3 of these clickers. No matter what position I place them in prior to clicking, the buttons get stuck under the rim of the circle and opps......no click. No behavior marked. Missed opportunity. It doesn't happen every time, but, it happens often. In one training session of about 10 min, all three had gotten stuck. I love the design, but the quality just doesn't work for me. I have a different one that clips onto anything, on this site it is sold as petco clicker. It was the same price as the others and I have never had an issue with it. It also has a crisper click sound to it. I prefer that brand and if it came with free shipping, I would order several from this site.

I would not purchase this brand of clicker, it's made too cheaply. I am able to get the button out with fiddling, but, three to five minutes later, where's the dog????

Want Premier Clicker Dog Trainer - Purple Discount?

Good idea but far too quiet to use anywhere but in a place with no noise at all. If your dog is afraid of the clicker noise, this might be a good choice because it is so quiet. If you have a crazed, leaping dog like mine, this is just too soft.

Tell Bell - (red)

Tell Bell -After 6 months of consistent trying, our (admittedly a little slow) 10 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel still didn't get the hang of the Tell Bell. He knew the bell would be rung before the door would open, but he would always stand by the door and wait for us to help him ring it.

I think the main problem is it takes too much coordination for a small dog to strike the bell in the right place and with enough force to actually ring it (the button is about the size of his paw, and it doesn't make much noise unless it is pushed sharply straight down).

In the end we replaced the $25 tell bell with a $1-ish jingle bell tied from the door handle on a string, hung just above the ground. We put a treat right under the bell so he had to move (ring) it to get his treat, and one week later he is already ringing it on his own when he wants to go outside.

At least six months with the Tell Bell taught him what "Ring your bell," means, even if he couldn't actually do it ;-)

The concept is great, but I think this product misses on execution and value. In the box are two bells and a DVD. The bells are just what you'd find on a customer service counter and are mostly plastic OK quality; nothing heavy duty. I'd say the bells should retail for about $5.00 each.

The first 20 minutes of the DVD is inanely annoying. Basically twenty minutes of scripted testimonials on how great the product is. All I thought of was I already bought it stop wasting my time. The second half of the DVD can be summed up in a few points which you can find in most any housebreaking books.

* Put the bell next to your door and make the dog ring it with his paw every time you take him outside on a leash to eliminate.

* Be consistent

* Ring the bell only when going out to eliminate, not when going for a long walk or to play.

* Try to use another door when going out to walk or play.

* Praise and reward the dog lavishly after he eliminates outside do not praise him for ringing the bell.

That's pretty much it as far as directions go.

I have a Border Collie puppy which is a smart bread by any standard. After a month I'm not having much luck with the tell bell. But he does paws at the door when he needs to go out. I think a better solution is a bell from the craft section of your local big box discount store hanging from a string on the door.

I'll give it two stars for concept, but don't think it's worth $25.00

Buy Tell Bell - (red) Now

The Tell Bell has worked extremely well for us as we have used it for almost a year now. We have been so exceedingly thrilled with our Tell Bell that we have purchased numerous Tell Bells for friends! I've been truly impressed with the quality and innovative design specifically made for dogs, which makes it comfortable to ring. A cheap bell from the store was not designed for a dog's paw and seems like it would annoy their paw when they stepped on it. Bells that hang on the door are not as effective as they scratch and ruin the door and would make noise when you open it. Additionally, we found that watching the instructional DVD as a family helped us all to get on the same page with her training, and the booklet was helpful to refer to and review the training details.

Everyone who has visited our house has been so amazed that our dog rings the Tell Bell to go potty. I've even had a repairman who noticed the paw on the bell and couldn't believe that she would ring it to go outside, and he was so impressed when she actually did it! Initially, we started another potty training method, and then switched to the Tell Bell, so it did take our dog a little longer to figure it out. We just kept being consistent knowing that it would work. It took us at least 6 weeks or more; however, once she got it, she got it. Our entire family was filled with such joy when she finally figured it out! That joy remains with us every day as it continues to be so much fun to hear her ring the bell to go outside. It always brings a smile to our faces.

We have 2 Tell Bells, one at the garage door, and the other at the back door. We've successfully trained our dog to ring the bell at the garage door when she has to go potty, and the other bell at back door when she wants to go outside and play. It's convenient that each Tell Bell comes with 2 bells. Right after she learned to ring the bell, all of my kids walked out of the garage door to go play, and she whacked at the bell over and over again because she wanted to go outside to play with them. It was too funny! Through the consistent training that they teach on the DVD, she eventually learned how to use the bells properly. Our Tell Bells have also visited several people's houses and she has used them successfully, even in strange homes.

The Tell Bell works well! We give the Tell Bell the highest recommendation possible. It's a quality product with a remarkably effective training technique that has worked well for us, as well as the numerous people we have given it to as a gift.

I bought this for my 3-month-old Sheltie and I'll tell you one thing completely ignore the instructions. The day I got it, I pushed the bell myself to ring it a few times and then I put his paw on it a few times (like the instructions said), which freaked him out and made him avoid it. The next day, I got out my clicker, rubbed a treat on the pawprint, and told him to target the bell. Bingo! In just one training session, he went from being afraid of the bell to ringing it himself. If you haven't used the clicker method before, I recommend Karen Pryor's book and the i-Click.

The construction of the bell seems a little flimsy for a dog so watch that they don't chew it or get overly playful with it. The bottom and some interior parts are made of plastic.

As for the actual association of the bell with going outside, we're working on that. I ring it myself every time I take him out. Next, I plan on having him target it before we go out. We've only had the bell for three days, but I'm happy with the results so far.

My little cocker spaniel puppy was just 3 months old when the bells arrived. She mastered the concept in one morning! She quickly chose to change from hitting it with her paw to tapping it with her nose which is very funny to watch. Moreover, within just a day or two, she grasped the concept of tapping it more than once if we are not immediately available to open the door, all on her own. When she wants to go out for a swim, she hits it repeatedly until we give in! I know it has saved us from many accidents in the house and it has given us great peace of mind.

We just returned from a trip to California and had her in a hotel and at my daughter's. We took our bells and people were so surprised that Molly, now 5 months old, had transferred the ringing concept to every door we put it in front off.

Two things I would change: 1) the video is really useless. How great it would have been to see an actual dog being trained. Essentially just reading the instruction book was rather pointless. 2) I'd love for the bell to have more weight in the base. She does accidentally knock it over at times and we don't realize it.

All in all, great concept!

Gentle Leader Quick Release Headcollar: Medium, Deep Purple

Gentle Leader Quick Release Headcollar: Medium, Deep PurpleI first discovered the Gentle Leader when I had my Rottie. He literally dragged me across the yard one day, and I was frustrated whenever I tried to walk him. He was a big, strong dog, and I wasn't going to win a pulling match with him (he weighed more than I did!). I tried a Gentle Leader, and suddenly I had control again. When you have control of the dog's head, he can't drag you or pull you around. With some practice, going for walks was pleasant again.

I now have two puppies, and they both pull when on the leash. I bought each of them a Gentle Leader, and after they both adjusted to their new gear (they both had temper tantrums the first few times they had to wear them), they both walk better on a leash. With additional training and practice, I know that they will both learn to walk in a mannerly fashion on the leash so that we can enjoy walks together.

works great for me and my dog. at first he didnt like it but is getting use to it. He doesnt pull and hurt my back like before so we are able to go for longer walks. I would recommend this for anyone that is trying to find a way to walk their dog with out the pulling

Love this headcollar, but our Puggle thinks he is being punished whenever we put it on him. As I have had cervical surgery, I haven't had the time to work with him yet. But once I get over my fear of being pulled over and doing a face plant on the concrete, I intend to get him used to it. If he weren't so 'round and fully packed' I would use treat to help. But, Pugs and Beagles are notorious over-eaters, and Gimli has a double dose of this bad trait!

Aetertek AT-216S-350W Remote Dog Training Shock Collar

Aetertek AT-216S-350W Remote Dog Training Shock CollarThought I would help somebody else out who is in the market for a shock collar. This is a review from a real customer, and I'll say shit to prove it.

I have a female Belgian Malinois who can be a straight up bitch. We live on 22 acres, and we used to be able to trust her and leave her outside all day without her running away. Turns out when she's in heat, she likes to run to our neighbors dog so she can play, and one day, it took us 3 hours just to get her to come back home. After 4 wheeling and trespassing onto peoples property, we decided it was time for our 1 year old whore to act like a lady.

Me and the hubby shopped around online and didn't want to pay an arm and a leg, but wanted to spend enough to get a rechargeable shock collar. Read the reviews on this one, was skeptical, but it looked like the best bang for our buck. So we ordereddidn't want to wait 5-8 days for the free shipping, so decided that we would spend $6 to have it sooner (after all, $6 is only two packs of cigarettes).

Noticed on the Amazon Track Package dealy that it was in our town; went to the post office (since we have a PO BOX) to pick it up, and low and behold, our beautiful electrifying neck attire arrived for our egotistical horse herder.

Of course, like a kid in a candy store, we opened that sucker up right then and there (our house is 10 miles away from our PO box, no way we could wait). Everything was nicely wrapped inside a cute little lunch box affair; inside included a HUGE green collar, the remote (with a 9 volt battery already inside), cute little string attached to the remote, an antenna for the remote, 4 metal prongs (2 long, 2 short), a tester mechanism, a wall-outlet charger, and bringin up the rear, THE SHOCKER!

THE SHOCKER wasn't charged, so we plugged it in. I like this shocker because when it is plugged in and charging, there is a red LED light that turns on, letting you know it's charging; when it has completed, there is a blue LED light that turns on.

Another cool feature is the tester mechanism. After you completed charging THE SHOCKER and put on the desired metal prongs, you place this light thingy on top of the prongs, and when you hit the shock button, a light (on the tester mechanism) lights up indicating THE SHOCKER works!

Tested it on the pooch after all assembly and chargingtook her a few minutes to understand the whole concept, but it works MAGICALLY!! There are 7 levels, and lemme tell ya, she definitely HATES us now. She, however, has not run away to this day (:

Like I said there are 7 levels. 1 & 2 are really subtle to her and she doesn't respond to them, but she responds easily to 3 & 4. Levels 5, 6, & 7 makes her yelp and squeal, so we don't use those at all unless she is in an emergency situation (i.e. chasing after 6 point bucks and cars on the road). I like 3 because it's just enough to get her attention and send her back to the house, which is what we wanted. She's a big dog, and WAY to heavy to just pick up and carry her home, so essentially, the shock collar has answered our prayers.

I did not realize that you can add up to 3 dogs off of one remote, and there is a button and LED lights that make it easy to understand on how to switch between dogs.

There is also a vibrate and a beep on the remotethe vibrate does nothing for her, but we warn her with a beep before she will get shocked, and she responds to that very well.

All in all, from a real customer who lives on acreage, it is a great product and has made training our giant bitch a lot easier. (;

This has changed my life! Our dog responds immediately to the beep (I rarely have had to use the shock). He is a very active lab who was jumping up on counters, chasing the cat, you name it... We could not let him out of him pen without total supervision because he would destroy everything in his path! He is a much calmer, well behaved dog. I love that it has a rechargeable battery too!

This product is not waterproof!! I bought this product and after using twice it stopped working, I though maybe it was a fluke so I returned and got another one. That one broke too after a few uses, too much hassle to return, do not buy if you dog gets wet at all when on walks.

Product is working out well. My dog really has really benefited by having this. I can now let her off her leash and she can run and play, and if she gets to far, or another dog comes around, all I have to do is use the audible beep and she stays put. Range is good, battery life is decent, and the 1-10 shock setting really allows good control over how much shock the dog receives. I keep my somewhere around 4 or 5, which is just enough to cause a slight discomfort, but not scare or harm her. Would recommend for anyone who has or wants to let their dog off leash.

Want Aetertek AT-216S-350W Remote Dog Training Shock Collar Discount?

My dog has gone from zero to hero with this collar. So well behaved! No more embarrassing moments of him running crazy and overly excited when someone walks through the door. Now I can have company over and he doesn't move. I can take him on walks, still shorter length ones while we're learning, but I can still take him without a leash! I have a 67 lb boxer/pit mix who is just over 18 months. I don't need to tell you the amount of energy and playfulness he has. This collar is excellent. I was interested to see what my experience would be after reading such mixed reviews, but I'm glad I took the chance. I LOVE the collar and my dog and I are happier.

We don't use the sound option as he gets scared and tries to run away, which can cause a little chaos depending where we are (house, at a corner on a walk, etc). The vibrate is usually enough to get his attention, but when he really needs to focus, I use the shock, but have never gone above 4. I'm confident in his listening and my control when he is off leash thanks to this collar! (We have only had the collar for 2 weeks!)

Just another way to enforce good behavior in your dog, similar to a hand clicker. Clicker for good, tweet for bad.

PetZen HitchN Leash Pet Lead Restraint

PetZen HitchN Leash Pet Lead RestraintI got this leash over a year ago for my Grandpa's dog, who is over at our place about 1/2 the week. This leash is wonderful, the gripper is nice and big and easy to use. It is adjustable without the retractable thing..(I hate those they seem to break at all the wrong times). The clip at the top doubles as a handle, and it is especially nice for my grandpa so he can hold it better. I often hook it to my purse if my hands are full, too. Very durable too, though we have used it for over a year there is no wear/tear on it. I am buying a second one now because my grandpa will not use any other leash, and I forget it sometimes. Just wish it came in different colors.

Fruitables Crunchy Dog Treats

Fruitables Pumpkin & Apple Crunchy Dog Treats 1-7 oz PouchI got the blueberry and one other; the puppies love it. Both I and my wife love the smell of it. Wonderful ingredients. Not hard, but does not fall apart or even generate crumbs as the puppies chew it. Makes a gentle but very satisfying crunching noise (I like listening to my puppies crunch things). Easily one of the best puppy biscuits available.

My dogs love these treats. Super cute design and nice small size. They smell absolutely amazing. It's hard to believe it is a dog treat.

I HIGHLY recommend Fruitables--she absolutely LOVES them, and there's no junk or fillers in them. Made in USA, calories are reasonable, good all-purpose size, and they smell like "people" cookies--much nicer to have sitting in the kitchen than, say, liver-flavored snacks.

unfortunately my dog didn't love it. I was under the impression for some reason that it was a softer treat, which my pug prefers; when it arrived we found it to be a hard, sunflower shaped treat. The ingredient list is definitely a draw and the taste (yes, my sister tried the treat!) was good, just would not recommend for dogs that do not want a really hard biscuit.

A dear friend sent these to my dogs as a gift. Both of my dogs (a lab mix and a pug/chihuahua mix) both thoroughly enjoy these Fruitables. With the lab, all I have to do is pick up the bag. I don't know how she knows, even before I open the bag, but she knows (even if she's in another room). She'll wiggle, jump, shiver and shake until she's had her daily Fruitables. I can hardly wait to try the other flavors. I really like that this are all natural and healthy for my pets.

RC Pet Products 1-1/2-Inch All Webbing Martingale Dog Collar, Large, Pirate Pooch

RC Pet Products 1-1/2-Inch All Webbing Martingale Dog Collar, Large, Pirate PoochI have a large female English mastiff and this wider collar is a much better fit to her size than earlier collars I have purchased for her. Good quality but not cheap

I got my American Staffordshire, which has big stocky neck at a shelter--they sent him home with me with a martingale collar. I liked the way it worked, and he started to outgrow the one he had from the shelter so I looked for another in the same design. I found this one in a pet store--paid almost $30 for it--but it was worth it. The wide design is great for my dog and it easily adjusts to slip off when I need to wash it, or my dog. I've had it about a year, and it still looks great after washing. So far it hasn't faded despite being red. Looked for it here on amazon because I plan on buying another one in case the same pirate design isn't available one day when it finally wears out.

Buy RC Pet Products 1-1/2-Inch All Webbing Martingale Dog Collar, Large, Pirate Pooch Now

The design on this collar is poor--the martingale loop is HUGE, loosens easier than it should and is heavy enough that unless attached to a taut leash, the collar slips around so the big martingale loop is hanging by the dogs' front legs...and becomes fully capable of catching and injuring a leg.

Due to that flaw, I consider this collar useless. While it's attractive and the thickness looks great on my male pit bull's neck, he doesn't lunge and drag on his leash (which appears to be the only way to keep the collar tight and in place), which means this collar is never going to work well with him or any other well-mannered dog. If you have a poorly behaved, lunging dog, then perhaps this collar might work for you....

Have the chain martingale from this company (1' thick) and love it, so was hoping this would be as nice, just a little thicker and more showy. No such luck.

Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover

Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover, 32-OunceThis stuff is so awesome! I wound up with quite the large puppy. She was house broken but only if she had constant access to a yard. We didn't. Needless to say she soiled everywhere. I used puppy training pads to soak it up (ironic). Once the liquid was absorbed into the pad, I just sprayed this on the stain, let it sit for about 15 minutes, gave it a quick wipe and stain and odor were GONE! I mean it, there is no stain and no odor left anywhere. You can't even tell where they were and there were ALOT. It's an amazing product and works better than I ever expected.

There are many products that claim to work on the same enzymatic principle as Nature's Miracle, but none work as well (and sadly some don't work at all). This product is a must for cleaning up any accidents.

This is NOT a spray-and-wipe type cleaner. In order for it to work, you have to follow the directions and let it sit for a while. I've had the best luck covering with a warm damp towel while the enzymes do their thing.

I purchased a gallon of this stuff upon a recommendation from a pet store employee. Sure enough when my puppy had his first accident I ran for the Nature's Miracle.

It helped but it didn't solve the problem. In fact, it made the stain yellow and it smelled like a bottle of rubbing alcohol. This happened time and again with future stains.

Out of frustration I went back to the pet store and purchaed their second best seller, Simple Solution. That actually worked and it even removed the yellowing that Nature's Miracle caused.

The Simple Solution was less expensive, smelled better and most importantly it worked! Nature's Miracle doesn't live up to its name.

I finally gave in to my wife and kids and we got a new puppy. While superficially she looks adorable, in-depth ethnographic observation of the animal reveals that she is, in fact, an abomination released upon unsuspecting humanity, and possibly a harbinger of Doom. The wretched animal is peeing prodigiously all over my house and guess who has to clean it up. It's funny how before we got the hound my wife and kids solemnly vowed to take care of "the sweet new addition to our family" in "every possible way" including thoroughly decontaminating the site where the dog might have "the occasional accident" prior to being fully housetrained. And yet at the first sight of elimination my wife and kids act suspiciously busy and try their darnedest to teleport to a galaxy as far far away from the offending puddle as possible. So I am left holding the bag, literally speaking, and have been involuntarily and reluctantly pressed into service as an unwilling janitor (the term 'shanghaing' is defined as "the practice of conscripting men by coercive techniques such as trickery, intimidation, or violence" and describes my current situation perfectly).

The good news is that Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover works as advertised, particularly on carpeted surfaces (it's not recommended for wood or tile floors). The bad news is that even after you are done following the instructions, if you illuminate the contaminated site with a UV flashlight you can clearly see the fluorescent evidence of the atrocity committed by the canine perpetrator.

So now my life is like a TV episode: the dog urinates, and I descend upon the area like a cross between the janitor in "Scrubs" and a male version of Pauley Perrette from "NCIS", illuminating incriminating forensic evidence with my 395 nM UV Ultra Violet 21 LED Blacklight Flashlight, by LEDwholesalers 7305UV395 and subsequently, gloved and hazmat-suited, I liberally douse the afflicted area with Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover, 32-Ounce until the crime scene is forensically clean. And then of course I rinse and repeat. Over and over again. Probably until the end of time.

My humble suggestion to you based on my own poignant personal experience: if you are thinking about a pet, get Kinectimals for your Xbox 360. Your house will thank you.

However, Through the internet, we heard about Natures Miracle. I have to say, it truly is a Miracle. We focused on the grout only, scrubbed it with Natures Miracle, let it sit overnight and Voila.

The smell dissappeared. I'm so glad we found out about this product. I would recomend it to everyone.

PetSafe 6-Volt Alkaline Battery

PetSafe 6-Volt Alkaline BatteryUnless you are diligent about taking the battery out after every use, the lifespan of a battery is measured in days. I don't know if this says more about the Citronella Bark Collar or the battery itself, but if you use the collar a lot, buy the batteries in bulk!

We bought a pet safe training collar that does not have a shock feature..only sound or vibrate features. This was a good choice for our small dog prone to seizures. And, it is unbelievable about brief the battery holds a charge. Pet Safe reps were totally difficult with discussing this issue and there is no information to warn about this apparent shortcoming. The earlier comment is exactly right....days of charge...not the 1-3 months told to us by the distributor. The first battery that came with the unit only lasted through one outing when we walk our dog off leash and use the vibrate feature when he's about to go on prey drive. The second battery, also, only lasted through one outing and the beginning of a second outing...or for a total of about twenty button pushings. Training was effective; the only positive in this rip off. Pet safe wants us to pay 18dollars and send the collar back...but more than likely this would be waste of 25 dollars. A replaced collar is not going to make a difference. As for ordering more batteries from petsafe...i don't think so. Either get them cheaper someplace else or look for a lithium battery AND take the battery out when not in use. If anyone can indicate if this makes a big difference, please post. Pet safe would not offer such information.

I go through a lot of these batteries in bark collars as I have two very naughty dogs. I am most pleased with the price as it would really add up if purchased through conventional retail sources.

Italian Basket Muzzle - Size 10 - Black

Italian Basket Muzzle - Size 10 - BlackThis muzzle works great for my Akita. He is not able to pull this muzzle off. My dog does great with people, but not well with other dogs so this was perfect for those bi-annual visits to the vet office. This allows me feel more comfortable bringing him out in public (walks, vet, etc.) without worrying that someone's loose dog/cat may come too close to him.

These work perfectly on the shape of the Akita muzzle. They don't chafe like so many other muzzles. Highly recommended for allowing aggressive dogs to play together without worrying about fights.

My German Shepherd had a bad habit of attempting to eat poop. The Veterinarian suggested placing meat tenderizer in her food, that did not help. She only ate it more. So I purchased the Italian Basket Muzzle. She did not appreciate it at first, but now she walks away from her poop and I get the opportunity to remove it the safe and correct way, oppose to the unhealthy way. Her breath smells better as a result, and she is healthier too. The Italian Basket Muzzle is the safe and effective way to remedy the bad behavior alot of dogs suffer from. It works.

I followed the sizing chart and bought a size 10 for my 173 lb Saint Bernard (his muzzle measures 14.5"). The basket fits over his muzzle, though just barely, but the strap that goes behind his head is about 6-8" too short!! I would not recommend this muzzle for a giant breed dog, especially those that have a big square shaped head like Saints or Newfies.

Indoor Pet Potty Dog Trainning Pet Park Patch Mat 30" X 20" X 2"

Indoor Pet Potty Dog Trainning Pet Park Patch Mat 30' X 20' X 2'I bought this for our new English Bulldog puppy. Even though she is an outdoor dog trapped in an indoor dogs body, LOL, she LOVES her potty patch. She will sprint to get to it if she does not want to go outside or if she cannot make it to the door. Well worth every dime!

Unfortunately she holds her pee until I get home. She treats it like her lawn and just sits on it. I'll be worried if she decorates it with pink flamingos.

It came as described. My Chi had no interest in using it at all in the house. I put it outside and now he pee's on it.

Heard the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks"? It is SO true.... My 11 year old Maggie will NOT use this product. It was a waste of my money... I'm sure if you start a puppy out with it it would be fine... I even tried picking her poo up from outside and soaked napkins with her urine and put it on the grass and she still will not use it... She will hold it till I take her outside, even if I work 12 hours she still holds it.... This can't be good on her!!!!!! Good luck everyone!

Pet Buddies PB1712 Googlie Sammie Squirrel Medium Toy

Pet Buddies PB1712 Googlie Sammie Squirrel Medium ToyI think we own 5 or 10 of these "Googlies" by now and we love them (Oh, and so does the dog!). They keep Duke entertained for hours on end because of the unique shapes and the squeaking, I think. Plus, we like them because of the neat characters! I definitely recommend checking out a Googlie or two for you and your pet!

Herm Sprenger Prong Collar 14 inch Lightweight

Herm Sprenger Prong Collar 14 inch LightweightI found this "prong" or "pinch" training collar to be of very good quality, much better than other brands that you may find at your typical pet store. The tips of the prongs are rounded off so as not to dig into the skin of the pooch's neck. I actually tried this collar on myself, and found it to be NOT uncomfortable, to the contrary of many vocal dissidents against prong collars as being "barbaric" for the pet. The key to successful use of this as a training aid is to properly fit the collar high up on your dog's neck, just below the ears. Adjust it tightly enough so that it doesn't slip down, but not so tight as to pinch the dog's neck without any added pressure from the leash. You MUST measure your dog's size properly using the circumference of the neck just below the ears. The links are removable and can be added or removed to adjust the size of the collar. You will probably need to add extra links if your dog's neck is at 12" or larger, since the measured length of the Sprenger collar is 14" laid flat and doesn't account for the smaller circumference when measured from the tips of the prongs themselves. It may be more cost effective to purchase two entire collars that to buy extra links. The slip chain part goes on the side of the dog's neck, not the top. There are two ring's on the slip chain part, a larger "dead" ring, and a smaller "active" ring. Connecting the leash to he dead ring limits the tightness that can be applied to the prong collar, while use of the active ring gives a stronger and quicker correction. Correction is accomplished by a quick but gentle sideways snap of the leash. The correction is supposed to feel similar to a corrective nip that a mother dog would give to a puppy. This training collar is NOT meant to be pulled on so that the prongs constantly dig into the pooch's neck. I have this collar for training my 65 lb pit bull, and it works great. You really don't need a "stronger" collar with larger prongs unless you have a large dog that really is stubborn and pulls hard. Remember, prong collars are for training purposes only and should not be left on you pooch longer than needed for the day's training period. Use a regular collar for fashion and identification purposes.

This product is worth the weight of my dog in gold. My corgi mix is about 1 year old. She is very energetic, very willful, and she thinks its her job to walk me on the leash, not vice versa. As soon as the leash goes on, she starts pulling with all her strength. She pulls so hard she suffocates herself. So you can imagine that walking her has not been very enjoyable. I looked online for a solution and everyone recommended stopping in place whenever your dog pulls on the leash. The problem is, my dog never stops pulling. We never got past the front driveway for several weeks. Maybe this might work with a less willful and energetic dog, but it didn't work with mine.

So I started looking for a prong collar. I wasn't very optimistic, because if my dog doesn't mind choking herself on the leash, what's a few prongs in the neck after all? The Herm Sprenger collar came highly recommended so I ordered one for her. I put on the collar, leashed my dog up, and we set out. It was like I had a new dog. She started pulling like she usually does, but immediately stopped when the collar tightened. She gave a small yelp, but since then, she has stopped pulling completely. Our walks are so much more enjoyable.

The collar itself is well constructed. You have to undo one of the links to wrap get it around the dog's neck. After you do it a few times it gets easier, but it can be a little difficult if your dog is squirming around. But the design does allow you to expand the collar if your dog grows or you want to use it on another dog. It's a tradeoff. The collar tightens very fluidly when your dog pulls, which is nice to see. The collar seems very sturdy, and I don't have any fear of it breaking or coming apart on our walks.

Overall, this is the best item I have ever purchased for my dog. It's allowed us to go on more walks, and I don't have to dread taking her out on the leash. I'm hoping after a year of using this collar, I'll be able to stop using it, but we will see how that goes.

Buy Herm Sprenger Prong Collar 14 inch Lightweight Now

I ordered from the vendor "Happy Dog Place, Inc" with Amazon Prime delivery. Unfortunately this is not a legit Herm Sprenger prong. I own 3 genuine Herm Sprenger prongs, and needed one more as a backup. What I was sent was a cheap, poorly-made knockoff version. For starters, the prongs pull part too easily. You barely have to squeeze them to open the collar, and if this was fitted too loosely, it would likely fall right off a dog's neck. The prongs themselves are sharp...dangerously sharp. So sharp in fact, that this collar comes with black rubber covers that fit over the individual prongs. Unfortunately the covers are also cheap & poorly sized, and slip off very easily. I spent quite some time trying to find them all so I could return this shoddy knock-off. VERY disappointing, but then again I should have known by the price. If something looks to good to be true, it probably is. I should've read the reviews more closely before ordering, as I see I'm not the only one who had this experience.

Immediate control without harm to my very spirited hunting dog. No pulling or sudden bursts of pulling. He accepts the collor without fuss when putting it on and taking it off. Very well made.

I purchased this and what I received was NOT a Herm Sprenger Prong collar. It was an inferior prong collar that has black plastic nubs on the tips (the tips are unfinished, rough, and not rounded) of the prongs and does not say Herm Sprenger anywhere on the collar. I purchased a second one a few weeks later and such a peculiar thing happened... I received an actual Herm Sprenger collar. So, please beware of this seller. You may not get what is described. Will not buy from again.
