My dog absolutely loves these bones. I love the fact they do not contain rawhide. They contain chicken, sweet potatoes, carrots and peas. They take quite a while for him to finish, are not messy and are digestible without me having to worry about sharp edges hurting him internally. I will definitely buy these again and will probably try other flavors.Read Best Reviews of SmartBones Chicken Dog Chew, Mini, 24-Pack Here
I have been ordering this product for quite some time because my dog loves them. They are easy on his stomach and they do not leave a mess when he chews them. However, when I placed my last order for them, Amazon never notified me that they were sold out. I waited for days for my order that was supposed to be shipped in two days and when I logged on to find out what was happening, I found out it was never shipped with no explanation. When I finally was able to get through on the live chat, I was notified that they were out of stock, but was never sent an email. This is the last time I will place an order with these shipping directly from Amazon since they have such poor customer service.Dogs love the product. It may have too many calories per my vet, so I have to ration the use.
SportDOG 100-Acre In-Ground Pet Fence System, SDF-100A
First off let me say this make sure the range is adjusted on the box before putting the batteries in the collars. My husband was holding the collar in his hand inside the house (far away from the lines) and got shocked on the 5th level! Ouch! We readjusted the range to two feet from the line and truned the collar down to level 2 after that.I think the range came out of the box set on 40 feet
I took chase out on a leash and let him lead me to the perimiter rather than me taking him over there and tossing a toy or treat across the line like youre instructed too. It only took him 2 times of trying to cross over the fence before he realized that he didnt wanna go anywhere near those flags. He LOVES playing fetch but you better believe if that ball goes NEAR that fence he will NOT even try to go get it! We did have one incident the other day where there was a cat in the back yard and Chase blew through the fence and did not even flench when he was getting shocked! However, ever since then he has been even more reluctant to get close to the fence so I think the level 5 shock hurt him enough that he wont be doing that again (The shock level increases as they cross the perimeter).
Rufus was a different story. I let him lead me to the perimeter just as I did for Chase and once he got shocked he was terrified of his yard. We would lead him around and show him all the places he could go but he would never leave our side. When we would let him out by himself he would not even leave the back porch. We tried for 2 weeks to get him used to it but he never did. I called the company for advice and they instructed me to start over. Here is what the customer service rep informed me to do incase anyone else has this problem. Give him a week or so to get used to being in his yard without the collar on. I put Rufus back on the runner we were using before we installed the fence. After he is comfortable in the yard again put the collar on but dont put batteries in it. After a few days of doing that turn the vibrate only function on and see how he does with that. Once he is comfortable wandering around the yard you can turn the shock back on to the lowest level to correct him if he tries to leave the perimeter.
Another issue we had is that if you lay the line within 3 feet of any wire (telephone, cable, electric, etc) the signal can apparently transmit to that wire and mess up your range. We noticed that sometimes when we would let the dogs out the back door their collars would vibrate like they were nearing the edge of the perimeter. The back door is in almost the very center of the perimeter so we couldn't figure out why this was happening. The customer service rep told us we would need to dig up and move the line further away from the house so this wouldnt happen anymore.
One more thingI apparently misread some information about this fence because I thought the collars continued to shock the dogs when they were outside of the perimeter until they got back inside of it. That is not true though. The collar only shocks them when they are inside of the range you set. So if you set a 2 foot range it will shock them 2 feet before the line and 2 feet behind the line. Once they get out of that zone it will deliver the static charge.
Im sorry this was so long but I understand what a big decision it is so I thought I would give you all the details. Overall I love this fence and have alot of trust in it and my dogs response to it. I would definetly recommend it to anyone looking at this as an option. I hope this was helpful!Researched in ground fence systems extensively and purchased the SportDog system for my ¾ acre property. Glad I did. Easy to install with quality hardware........unlike other systems I looked at. Purchased primarily for our Lab puppy, but also purchased two smaller compatible collars for our two miniature wiener dogs. It maybe took a day or so for all of our dogs to associate the flags with the boundary. System has multiple settings, so you can set a vibration, beep, then mild shock. I think our dogs were shocked once each. Now, when they get close to the boundary flags, the (non-shocking) vibration is enough to alert them to turn around. $220 is a bargain for the peace of mind in knowing that my dogs will stay in the yard.

I have a Labrador retriever who is about 4 months old and an adult boston terrier. We had trouble with them going to neighbors houses to get petted, or the boston would run after other dogs in the neighborhood. So, we decided to go with this underground fence after extensive research of other brands. I'm very satisfied with our purchasethe installation took about 3-4 hours total. We installed the fence on approximately 3/4 of an acre. My husband used his tractor and lowered 1 of the 4 plow feet on a box blade attachment to dig the trench around the yard. This was VERY simple and took about 20 minutes. Then we just placed the wire in the trench and buried it, which took about an hour and a half or so. Take note, we had to twist wire back to the box across a spot in our yard so the dogs could run across it without getting shocked. We also had to place it across our driveway, so my husband used a skill saw with a masonry blade to cut a line across it. After laying the wire in the line, we covered it with asphalt patching compound (caulk-like substance). This took about an hour. Then the easy part-placing the flags. This took about 20 minutes.
We used the collar that came with the system for our lab, and then we bought the Petsafe PUL-275 In-Ground Deluxe Ultralight Collar with Radio Receiver for our boston terrier, which is a great fit. It is compatible with this Sportdog system. Our lab caught on VERY quickly. She got shocked about 2 times, and that was enough for her. When she hears the beep now, she runs back into the yard. Our boston on the other hand is a stubborn guy, and he got shocked about 7-8 times before he finally realized "hey, maybe I shouldn't go past those white flags!". They both understand the boundaries now, and we plan to leave the flags up for another month or so to make sure. It's such a relief being able to drive away without them chasing after me. I highly recommend this product if you're looking to contain your dogs.

I have this Sport Dog Unit installed on 3 acres of my property. Each of my four German Shorthairs has a collar and I have never had any issues with them leaving the yard after the first week of installing the underground fence. There are a few main reasons I bought this unit over the many other brands and models out there.First, the collars by Sport Dog use a 9 volt battery. The batteries seem to last about a year. Many of the other collars on the market use large watch batteries and don't last more than two months.
Second, the sending unit has an adjustable power output. There is a hi low switch and a variable gain dial. This is really important for training and also allows you to adjust the unit for the method you chose to install the wire. For training, you can turn the gain up which will increase the distance, up to about 50 feet, that the beep and shock start from the wire. Once the dogs are used to the concept, you can turn the gain down so it goes off closer to the wire. I have mine set at about 7 or 8 feet. The other more important part of this is for the install. First, if you are going to install this in a large area, greater than one acre, I would not use the wire that comes with the unit. I bought a 2500 foot roll of single strand 12 gauge copper wire for $60.00. I would recommend doing the same as the wire that comes with the unit is very thin and breaks easily. You can install the wire with a shovel or a ditch witch. I put my wire down about 14 inches with a ditch witch. Because of this, my gain is turned up higher as the wire is deeper in the ground. If the wire was 2 inches in the ground like most of the professional fence companies put it then the gain would be turned down for the same effect.
Third, this unit has a very load noise that comes from the unit should the wire break or get damaged. This is nice as things do happen, utility companies, tree roots, corrosion, etc... If you put the main unit in your garage attached to your house you will definitely know if something is wrong with your connection.
If you are looking for an underground fence, this is the best unit available.

I can't recommend this enough. The collar is built like a tank, it vibrates along with beeping before the shock (most just beep), and it takes standard 9 volt batteries. Personally, I didn't want to have to buy special batteries for the other collars, and I didn't want to have to worry about waiting for it to re-charge should it ever run dead. The transmitter in this package will also work with most PetSafe collars, so if you have more dogs for which a smaller collar would be desirable, they are also options (our English Setter doesn't seem to mind the weight of the included collar). We also liked that we were able to mount the receiver for this unit on a collar of our choosing our dog likes cloth collars better, so we're going to move the receiver from the stock plastic/rubber collar to a cloth collar. We called Invisible Fence and they wanted $300 for the collar, and $300 for the transmitter, and more for the training. We were a bit nervous about training our English Setter by ourselves, but after just one session, it became clear that the pup was going to figure it out very quickly. We started out showing him the boundary for ~5-10 minutes with the collar in vibrate only mode (during which time he mostly ignored it), and after that, we moved on to the instructions that are included with the unit, and set the collar to the lowest shock level (I tried it on my hand not that bad).
After one or two shocks, our dog pretty much got the hang of it. Amazing. We're still planning on following through with the rest of the instructions, but after 20 minutes of training he already knows that beep & vibrate means "turn around".
Super easy to install & set up. I also bought a lightning strike protector separately seems like a good investment, although if you choose to ground the transmitter (I did not), it shouldn't be necessary. Since this transmitter doesn't have a batter backup, I bought an uninterruptible power supply from newegg for $40 should keep it going for a few hours so that we can bring the dog in should the power ever go out.
Total cost of this unit with a few accessories (flags, splices, lightning protector, etc.) was less than $250. Considering that Invisible Fence wanted over $750 for a transmitter (installed), collar, and training (but no wire we already had that), this thing was a steal.
One more note unless you truly have tons of land, although this is a great system, you probably don't need the added range that it offers (although it does work just fine on smaller fences). We have ~12 acres, and I bought it "just to make sure it had enough power", and with ~3 acres fenced (we plan on expanding it), I have it set to about half power in the "low" range. This creates a correction zone about ~25-30 feet wide (we want him to have to go through a lot to escape we live on a 55mph road).

Signature K9 Heavy Leather Leash, 6-Feet x 7/8-Inch, Black
The leash is very sturdy leather which is exactly what you want. Soft leather has to much give and won't hold up to unexpected chewing and biting from your dog. The stiff leather holds up beautifully and provides a better correction "snap".
The top handle and end loop are made by folding the leather down and fastening them with two steel rivets, some braiding would gave made the leash stronger but if you're not training say, a 300 pound Mastiff this lead should work out just fine.
We have two Old English Bulldogs a 95 pound adult and 55 pound 7 month old puppy. I'll be using this lead for beginner obedience training (heel, sit, stay, come on command and lay down) I've been working with dogs for over 40 years and this leash is of a quality that you would pay at least three times the mere selling price of $19.00 at most any retail store.
Simply used for a walking lead this leash would work out equally well. But for entry level training to advanced you really do need a standard 6 foot leather leash. The stiffness of the leather does ease up a bit over time but should stay tough enough to last for years.
The tanning is very well done, it's a deep over saturated black that doesn't rub off. I wish they had passed on the brass plating for the eye clasp. Brass tends to pit and rust from wet weather it's also less attractive especially against the silver rivets.
un plated steel is always preferable, but this is my only complaint and it's a minor one.
The leash was delivered well packaged in a box and the Prime membership you get free two day shipping to boot. Making this leash an even more exceptional bargain.I love this leash! I wanted a sturdy leash that my dog couldn't chew into. I've had the nylon and vinyl leashes, but my dog still chewed into them. Now that I've been using this leash, my dog doesn't even attempt to chew into it. I saw a woman with this leash in my local pet store and asked where she got it. She said she had bought the leash a few years ago (it still looked in great condition) but hasn't seen any of the stores carrying it anymore. Well lucky for me I was able to find it online with Amazon and have been very happy with the product. I would definitely recommend this leash for anyone who is looking for a great looking, sturdy, 100% leather leash.

You may love this leash but...it is VERY heavy. The edges are not beveled as it says in the product description, but almost sharp. It is also VERY stiff, more like plywood than leather. Mine had a defect/split in the leather. It's hard to believe that Amish craftspeople would send out a defective article such as this. If you don't have a 500 pound dog or a hand of steel, I would suggest that you at least purchase a thinner version of this leash.Read Best Reviews of Signature K9 Heavy Leather Leash, 6-Feet x 7/8-Inch, Black Here
This is a very good leash. It has steel rivets so it should last forever. Leashes without rivets, with just stitching or these new twisted type leashes will wear out and eventually break. This should be the only leash you ever need. Incidentally, I read the other review so I pulled out a tape measure and mine measured exactly 6 feet. Not a big deal, but I figured I'd mention it. From a professional dog trainer and handler, I recommend this leash, and others like it, highly.Want Signature K9 Heavy Leather Leash, 6-Feet x 7/8-Inch, Black Discount?
I was walking my 25 lb puppy and with very little pressure, the metal fittings broke apart and the dog went running. There was no sign of any damage when I got the leash and this seemed to happen out of nowhere. It may have been one bad one out of the bunch, but I wouldn't get a leash from this company again. I read the other reviews on the Guardian Gear No-Jump Dog Harnessby Guardian and saw where people were complaining about them being chewed off, so I also bought a bottle of no chew spray. The spray was worthless on the harness. If you aren't around to reapply the spray every 30 minutes to an hour, there is no need to even use the no chew spray since it just evaporates. Our dog is jumping our 5 foot fence with NO problem. I didn't have a problem getting the harness on her and getting it on correctly every time, but my husband never could figure it out. My dog learned to stand decently still while I put it on because she knew she was getting to go outside and run and play versus being tethered outside on a cable just to use the bathroom. She walked and ran funny at first but she soon got used to the harness and did not get out of the fence. The problem came when I left her outside too long and she laid down to rest. The leg straps slipped down her legs and she got out of it. Luckily she came into the house instead of getting loose. Next was that I left it on her when she came in so I didn't have to fight her to get it on and off (the first day). She and her sister chewed through a strap. I sewed it back on. Then she got it off a cabinet and she chewed through a clip. I replaced the clip. She chewed through another strap, sewed it back, and lastly through 3 clips. Now I don't have enough extra strap to repair it since she has grown and chewed through it in the same place a few times. I am buying another one today and going to sew the straps in place so there are no loose ends to tempt her and it is going to be stored inside a cabinet so she can't get to it when she doesn't wear it. I REALLY wish some company made one of these in leather. Now that I know that it works on her, I would gladly pay good money for one I knew would hold up to a 1.5 year old puppy.

My 7 month old Lab mix is a very dominate type of puppy. I didn't realize this until it was too late and the behaviors of a dominate dog started to set in. Going on walks with him wasn't very pleasant, but not bad either. He would pull and tug at his pleasure and walk in front of me, pulling me as we went. Well i tried training him to walk properly but honestly i didn't put too much effort into it, and that is my own shortcomings.I was reading a puppy training book and decided to get this collar. It works fine. The size i got was the medium i believe, which was way too big. i nearly had to remove all but 3 prongs to get it to fit on the dog correctly. First time we went for a walk it was a pleasant one. He's no longer pulling at his own accord and is very well tempered. He still tries to walk ahead of me, but we're working on that. I also had him wear the collar whenever my nieces came to visit. He behaved around them with it on, with it off he would tug at their clothes.
The only con is that the collar discolors his fur, leaving a darkened stain. Maybe its the metal coating that's leaving the black residue?

First ingredient is wheat flour, so if your dog happens to be allergic to wheat these won't work for you. My dogs aren't allergic, nor do these treats give tummy problems, so I'm happy! Ingredient list is short, that's another plus, it's not a long list of artificial this and that.
I give my pups both the liver flavor and the cheese/egg flavor to mix things up a bit. The cheese/egg ones even smell like cheese, yum!

I got this item because a neighbors dog enjoys poop'ing in our yard. They don't clean up after him, which is annoying since we have a small yard. The poop'ing continued even after we spoke to them about it. Desperate we got this product. At first it was hard to tell if the product worked. We had some mystery poop that appeared just outside the range where I laid down all the repellent. Then on one sunny afternoon, right in front of me, a different neighbors dog made a b-line for our yard and gave us a lovely pile of goodness. I had just put on the repellent an hour prior to this. Doh! Luckily that neighbor cleaned up after her dog.I gave it this rating because it doesn't work consistently for all dog types. If you have one dog of concern, this may work just fine. If you are considering getting this I would recommend spreading the area that you are concerned about evenly with a generous amount. We have a small yard so there was enough in the bag for that and then some. It is also very fragrant and it will keep this fragrance for a few days. Kinda weird but it mentions that it has dried blood in the mixture as well. I wonder where they get that from...

As for the tunnel, I own 2 dogs, a golden retriever (trained and competed in agility) and a pembroke welsh corig (just now learning agility). I found that the fabric of this tunnel does not hold up well, with small holes developing after 2 weeks of occassional use. However, as the fabric is not nor advertised for competition, and the price was perfect, I find this acceptable. Do not order this if you are wanting a tunnel your dog can bank the turns on, or run through with real speed (except in a straight away set up). But I find it perfect to be a lightweight, easy to move and set up, and perfect for teaching challenging set ups (opening next to a dog walk plank, teeter, or other obstacle). Do I expect this to last more than a year with use 3-5xs a week for short training sessions (10-15 minutes each), no. But it is a great starter set up until I can justify and purchase a new competition grade tunnel next year to practice my banks and longer runs. This tunnel is great for my puppy (1 yr. old rottweiler)! He loves agility class and now he has his own things at home to practice with, and this tunnel is perfect for him! It is strong enough to withstand his weight and is big enough for him to fit through. Couldn't be happier with this product!

The dog tunnel I thought is a good buy for the money. My dogs took to it right away. It definetely has to be staked in order for it to stand up and not collapse. The openeing wants to cave in some, but that doesn't stop my dogs. They love it. The youngest one forgets she is supposed to come out the other side sometimes and starts playing in it, but it is fun. The tunnel is great and as advertised. The store shipped it promptly. One caveat, the fabric does seem to be vulnerable to toe nails that need a trim. Our dog left small holes in the fabric.Good tunnel compared to others that cost more. The product could be better if it came with instructions/tips in regards to securing it and setting it up. There are some metal eyelets on the tunnel that must be there for a reason, but I can't tell. My lab uses the tunnel and can be a little rough at times, but it seems to be holding up just fine. These have an excellent track record to curb "boredom" barking, but not necessarily "protective" barking, in which case instinct overrides discomfort. :(

XX Large Soft Claws for Dogs (Natural, 14 mm length x 9 mm width)
We bought xx large. First I ground his nails down. Put 3 drops of the glue in the nail cap, squeezed it to make it more circular, and slipped it right on. He didn't even notice. Every 4 or 5 days I will notice one is missing. I just grind that nail down and apply another. So, I never actually remove them all and apply a new set. When they get too worn, they naturally just fall off. I just used up the last couple nails, and it has been about 14 weeks. Very acceptable.
The scratching on the floor is sufficiently reduced. If he gets real wild, they will still scratchat which time we show him his old boots and he bolts for the kennel :) But for general "trotting" around, there is no scratching, as they are much softer than nails. These caps obviously don't aid in traction. But...huge help in the scratches. A fair compromise between me and the Poodle!

I actually bought them because my dog has hip displasia and she was slipping on wood floor which is not good for her. Since she has them on she does not slip as bad on the floor. It's great! I also found a better way to put them on without using any glue. Got one size smaller, soak them in boiling water for just 10 or 20 seconds, they get very soft and slide right on the nails, took me 2 minutes to do all 4 paws. When they cool they hold very strongly. Just a tipRead Best Reviews of XX Large Soft Claws for Dogs (Natural, 14 mm length x 9 mm width) Here
I have a 65 pound boxer and we just got new hardwood floors. He loves to play inside and we cant break him from this habit, since we have let him do it for 3 years. We bought the soft claws for dogs, and glued them on. They are fantastic!!! Yes, they do come off or wear off, but his has lasted for over a month. He sometimes does wear them down where they will get holes, but his nails do not come thru and the wood looks great. He is very tolerant of them, and I think most dogs would allow you to put them on, just like a bath. Very simple! If the soft claws do not wear off after awhile, we clip them off and put new ones on. Do go by the size chart, because my first pair ordered was too small. Great purchase!!!Want XX Large Soft Claws for Dogs (Natural, 14 mm length x 9 mm width) Discount?
I have a Labrador and wood floors and the soft claws do not improve the relationship. It has been a bit like tap shoes for a child at Christmas. The claw guards went on fine and have stayed on (I was rather hoping that they would fall off, I am going to find out today how to take them off).
The plastic of the claw guard is softer than keratin of claws and without sharp edges so if scratching was the primary issue it might be a help.
However putting a cap on anything is going to make it longer and for these it is a minimum of 4 mm. Immediately Abby made more noise on the floor and I think she was also getting even less traction on the floor than before. The Soft Claws were just not soft enough to be helpful. She sounds like a walking snare drum.
The best answer is going to be weekly nail sanding.
Abby did get 2 complements on how good her nails looked including "you've had Abby's claws done" ie it look almost natural. (The ones I got were NOT purple.)
